Emoticons - Hero, G2 Touch Themes and Apps

Anyone knows where they green emoticons that appear in Messages and in Handcent are located? I have searched through every apk that could be the culprit, and not found anything. I found some yellow ones in com.htc.resources/res/drawable, and some android ones in both Mms.apk and in framework-res.apk.

Double SMS notification icon

I had an issue with blurry mms messages so i followed this posting
at forum .cyanogen. com in the nexus section under mms (I cant post links yet.) I pushed the stock mms.apk , however I now have two different sms notifications in my status bar. There is the main one from cyanogens rom and then a "New Message(s)" one that says you have unread messages. How can i get rid of the new messages one?
Thanks

If you have beautiful widgets 2 on your phone then thats what it is. To solve go to add and choose beautiful widget sms widget and it should have a option for notification
Thank you for the solution! I've tried to change all of notification settings till found this. And it was the last thing I've though about cause I have no beautiful widgets on my home. Thanks
I don't have cyanogen on my 2.2 Nexus One, and I do have duplicated SMS icons in the status bar. Where should I go to remove that?
Handcent / ChompSMS / SMS Popup / any other program you're using.
Or go to the stock app.
check your system/app folder. if the apk you pushed does not have the exact same name you have two mms apks installed on the phone. Unzip a Cyanogen ROM and compare apk names in. system app to the one you pushed. Delete the wrong one

Question about theming - searching for a graphic's name

I've got a problem with finding one graphic that can be seen around the system, in messages, contacts I think, but mostly it is in Settings. It is the divider between options, and I can't find it. I tried framework-res.apk, tw-framework.apk, systemui.apk, settings.apk and some others with no luck, maybe someone more experienced could help? I marked the thing with red color on the screen (attachment).

[Q] MIUI skinning question

Hi All,
I have been looking for the past weeks for the following.
Nobody really replied but Vukandric, who is really busy.
Even on the Miui dev board no answer.
And I cant imagined this has not been asked before.
I am running the black (or dark as it is called) theme for MIUI.
Great, but for me 2 apps which are involving daily activities are still white.
The email-app en the calendar-app (not widget) are still white.
The calendar is white backgroud with black text, even worse, email is white back with lightgrey text.
I would like to get both apps in black background with white text.
Is this impossible? I have not seen a theme yet with this layout.
Or doesn't anybody want this.
I sure could use dome help in achieving this. What files do I need to change and where can these files be found.
Thanx to anyone trying to help in advance.
EJ
depending on whether the backgrounds are images or .xml values(?), you'd have to open up the .apk for the relevant program, find the images you wish to modify, modify them, and add them to the relevant theme.
The text however can be modified with a themes_value.xml in the relevant theme, but I know /little/ in regards to what wording is required, other than the colour being specified as #FFFFFFFF.

[Q] Help needed: How to change highlighting color in SMS application

Hello,
I would like to change color of highlighting numbers in SMS messages but I'm lost and not able to find a right place where to change it. I looked at framework-res.apk and also com.htc.resources.apk but no luck. See attached image, if not clear what I was talking about. Does anybody know where I can change such color, please?
Thanks for any help.
I am asking a similar question about theming and how to change the selected / highlighted "text color" when "cutting and pasting", searching or selecting a link in my browser.
Specifically for Sense ROMS 2.1 or 3.0 with GB 2.3.3 or 2.3.4. The T-Mobile HTC MyTouch theme called "Safari" has everything blue for the text selections and highlights, and want to have this same feature on a standard HTC ROM. Not a green color fan.
Looking for what *.xml file controls this in the framework files?
Is this XML in the
com.htc.resources.apk
framework-res.apk
files?
Again, trying to do the same thing, to learn which xml file controls this.
TIA

Those color codes will be in the messaging apk not the the framework or the resources. HTC has many color codes over writting each other. I would start in the messaging app.
These color codes are MOSTLY in the framework files, otherwise when you change skins they would always be the same green. This is not the case. Try it yourself with a different skin other the the HTC default.

I know about themes more then you think. I don't use the stock SMS app so not so sure about that one but before you say I should try it have a look at the SS. I know my way around the framework enough to change everything.

[Q] Need help finding an image for HTC apks (contacts, clock)

Alright, so here's my problem...
I'm a newbie themer, and I've been working on making a theme for my HTC Merge. The problem is that I can't seem to find the location of a certain image that I want to modify. The image I'm looking for is used for the bottom background in HTC apps that have a scroller along the bottom... ie: htccontacts, clock, the launcher itself.
I've decompiled com.htc.resources.apk, framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk searching but I can't seem to find it anywhere. The majority of HTC images I've found have been in the com.htc.resources, but unless I'm crazy, this one isn't there.
I attached an image that shows which part I'm talking about. I've already found the image for the scroller (common_subnav_selector_tab.png) but I can't find the background for the life of me. Does anyone know which image this is? Thanks in advance!
