Does anyone know of any good phones coming to T-Mobile by December 2010 of this year? My upgrade ends in December, and I really want a new phone, lol. This G1 is started to become really outdated and I was selling some stuff to Walmart to make some money and saw they had phones like the Nexus One, HTC HD2, etc that are all better than the G1 currently. Do you guys think I should get one of the current phones out right now and if so could you suggest one, or is there a promising phone coming by the end of this year that I should just wait for? Also how much would it cost to renew my 2 year upgrade since it isn't up yet? Thanks.
http://phandroid.com/2010/04/16/what-phone-are-you-getting-in-the-next-4-months/ Something to check out, HTC Incredible on Verizion. But then again Verizion is cdma if I'm not mistaken...HTC Legend looks slick also.
Thanks for that. Seems as if T-Mobile is only getting that Samsung Galaxy right?
ill name some. ummm htc desire, htc hd2 mini, htc g3, htc snapdragon
G3? Is that new G1 or something, lol.

As most of you guys know, Sprint announced they'll be getting the Nexus One sometime soon... (early summer) I was just wondering, if the Sprint N1 would be compatibility with the current Nexus one Roms such as Cyanogen's rom, and King's Desire rom?
Just wondering because I was thinking about switching from Tmobile, because they're data rates are too expensive for me, and my contract ends early May of this year. I might just get the HTC Evo, but then again, it's really big (I played around with my friend's HD2, didnt like the screen size, although it was really nice)
I have a Nexus and would honestly say get the Evo..It's the better phone and also better if you need to return it or have it repaired..

i disagree with the above poster, i have a nexus one and this is the perfect size phone. The evo is too big. Yes if you're worried about replacing your phone for small things then do not get the nexus one, if you're only worried about replacing it after you lose it, then its not a problem, pay the $130 fee and they will ship you a new one. I don't think the custom roms will work with the cdma device but i'm new to android and am not 100% positive.
Should work
Roms should work as long as they don't have a radio image in them. If you check some of the sites (ie. Modaco using the kitchen) you have the option of installing a radio image. As long as that isn't there you shouldn't have any problems, but I could be wrong. Anyone??
Why on earth nexus one is more expensive than desire??
For me, in the US, the desire WAS more expensive, since it was not subsidized. Now it can be, and it's 1/3 the price. Every smart phone is going to be in the $500-$600 range at full price. I see the Nexus One's pricetag of $571 (i think thats what it was when I got it) being reasonable, since I'm buying it off contract. The Desire's pricetag was more since I was forced to buy it from a random website. If I was lucky I would be spending $600.
I guess nexus one need to be more at price tag compare to htc desire cos google put more effort on develop software n hardware pick choose but later those htc just take all the credit n copycat the google ideas into other htc phone include the stupid desire. I never be a fan of htc phone cos they are from china company and sell their phone more expensive. I buy nexus one bcos of google n hate the htc logo on that phone. Why google choose stupid htc to manucfacture their google phone.

i checked the price in most of the sellers, it's Between 60$-100$ difference...!
Come on HTC is VERyVEry GooD, Why dO U hAtE HTC So mUcH..?
Another question, do u prefer trackball one (in nexus) to optical one (in desire), Why?
I thought HTC was a US Company? The build quality of HTC phones are usually very good. Plus both the Nexus One and Desire are built by HTC.
The reason why the Nexus one is so expensive now is that you CAN'T buy it anymore from google. So if anyone has a new Nexus One... it will go for a pretty penny. The Nexus One is so desired (pun intended) because of the first hand google support that we recieve.
We've had an Official Froyo rom for months where every other phone is just starting to roll out soon. This will be the same with Gingerbread as well... where MOST phones today, if any, will ever see Gingerbread officially.
The Desire, like other phones, will only get hack n' slash Gingerbread roms.

HTC made the Desire and the Nexus One. Google only produced the software.
Officially HTC announced plans for a 1Ghz 2.1 device with 576 RAM before they started producing the Nexus One for Google.

HTC are a Taiwanese company.
If you put High Technology Corporation into Wikipedia or Google you will find their true roots!
It's more expensive because it has that fancy audio chip with dual mic noise cancellation that Desire doesn't have.
N1 is more expensive cos its the king
Also, the N1 is a Developers device which gives it many more options...
Fancy Audio Chip, What's it for ??
Do u prefer nexus one to desire with 75$ cost more, Or u Choose desire..?
Theres a rumor the HTC HD7 windows phone is coming out for Sprint, im from android to tell the truth... I think windows mobile 7 is a great OS the tiles look great in my case I recently had a htc hero and well there are no 1 ghz phones for 3g that you dont need to pay 10$ a month for 4g just to your the phone...the 3g 1ghz HTC HD7 looks promising I didnt like android at first to till the truth I still have a 50/50 love/hate but I love Winodws mobile 7 when this phone comes out for sprint i'm so getting it, its seems so promising for development~ who knows what the price might be? I'm gonna get oen and I might try to make my first ROM and Themes and ETC. I love this OS, I think it'll acutlly be a competetor for Android un-like the iphone in my opinion as said herehttp://www.pcworld.com/zoom?id=208491&page=1&zoomIdx=1 I'll lose a lot of things from android to HTC HD7 but I think most of the accusations from PCworld are fake but I hope this phone becomes a great succes
Hi, i found a guy selling his G1 on the web, her in Portugal. I own an HTC Diamond, as you know i can´t, unless with haret, have android on my phone. I've tried it and fell in love with Android. Is it worth it to buy the phone? The guy ask for about €60. I know the specs are somewhat similar to the Diamond, but it runs native Android. For +/- the same price i can buy, new, some ZTE or Huawei phone, but nothing that compares to the "feelling" of holding an HTC. What do you guys think, is it a good deal? Or for this price is a way too outdated smartphone??
Thanks in advance for your replies.

HTC Dream (no doubt great phone itself) but as u said, it's way too outdated, u rather go for Hero (atleast supports Adobe Flash), Using HTC G1 since it's release, If u just wanna use Android as just basic & not function freak, just go for it (it'll make u buy next gen Android)
But if you wanna enjoy Android at it's best, go for Hero (cause of it's SENSE UI & support for Eclair Officially) OR some Moto Droids ...............
If you wanna spend money & wanna use it all for years, I suggest go for some updated device (i.e. nexus 1/S, Droid, Galaxy etc)
but if u wanna go for some old great devices, u surely wanna go for HTC Hero OR G1 .............
I bought a G1 in Nov. 2010,I am loving it so much.
But honestly, the ram of G1 is too small.many games can't be run on G1.
If you have enough money, you'd better buy a better android phone such as desire,defy...
I recently gave a friend my g1 and got a vibrant but I would buy another g1 for testing things out such as flashing roms.
I sent this from my Vibrant!
If you want a working, stable and reliable phone then you can't go wrong with the G1.
But if you are planning on playing 3D games or expecting significantspeed then the G1 will not suffice.
I love my HTC dream don't get me wrong, I'd also recommend a great Donut Rom or the one in my signature.

I guys, thanks for your replies. After all the G1 was an china clone of the G1, it didn't had the sliding screen and, fatal to me, no wifi. I ended up buying an HTC Magic for €50.
I bought my HTC one x last summer and love it but i really like the new htc one, do ye think it be worth to upgrade to it?
You just gotta try it out, no one can tell you whether it'll be worth it for you to upgrade
I really hate these threads.
But anyway, if you have a one x like moi, its not really worth it, we`ll have sense 5 (some version of it anyway) in a few months, so whats the point in spending all that money for not a lot extra.
On the other hand I have it on order, but I spend too much money, a habit I need to resolve.
I had the one x+, No have the One - No regrets.
The One is more than just sense 5. It's a whole new ball game :good:
I just orderd the HTC one im probably stupid as hell to be paying money for a new phone since i have the htc one x, tried talking my self out of it but did not work ha.

Well my thing is the speakers... fed up of not being able to hear video without headphones unless im watchin the back of my phone.
Still 500 quid is a lot for 2 little speakers.
Definitely a good upgrade for me. I had the one X and the One is just faster and has better battery life. Not to mention the speakers. I did however prefer the One X's camera. In terms of build quality.. Both phones are rugged and tbh I'm not afraid to go caseless on both. I can't really see the difference in screen quality - the one X was just that good.
The biggest seller for me is definitely the look of the phone. I've been waiting for the day when there's an android phone as good looking as the iPhone. The One actually looks better. (I got the black and it looks sleek).
I think the One X could have lasted me another year, but I had the money so I just went for it. It's what you prefer that matters. I suggest going to a store and trying it out. Watch a whole load of review videos on YouTube (although you probably have ;D). Good luck!
