Try Windows\Rings
Make sure that when you go into the "Explore" tab in Active Sync, you have selected to UNhide all files and folders through "Tools > Options". Otherwise, your Windows folder won't even appear in the Explore window.

I dont see that option. can you be more specific?
thanks

After you've opened "Explore" in ActiveSync, tap "Tools > Folder Options". Then open the "View" tab. Under the Folder that say's "Hidden files and folders, tap the radio button next to "Show hidden files and folders". Exit out of that window and your Windows directory folder will now show up.
I have flashed to 1.37 Malaysia WWE ROM, under the 3D touch flow, when I click the browser, it opens to HTC site instead of a local search page like 1.34ROM. Is there a way I change it?
I have changed the startup homepage in opera setting but it didn't change the default page when you launch the browser from 3D touch flow.. any ideas to have it changed? thanks

when u open it at the adress bar u see from where the file (URL) is its shortcut in windows make a shortcut of a browser in your pc and name it the same thing as u had that is ( windows\htc-opera.html) so with your pc make a shortcut of internet adress u like and the save it to your desktop and then rename it to htc-opera.html and copy this to your device windows folder thats it !!
I have done that but it seems the opera launcher in 3D touch flow is hardcoded to www.htc.com. In fact under the globe icon in 3D touch flow, it has a line www.htc.com . I forget whether it is the same in 1.34 ROM. But so far I am not able to change that...
anyone got any idea? thanks
ok, i got tricked by this as well.
Look underneath the earth in the browser panel.
It says "Launch Browser - www.htc.com"
So I guess it always launches to htc.com.
To launch Opera only and on your predefined start page, use the Right softkey when on the browser panel. It's labeled BROWSER.
Irritating
i noticed the browser softkey, but i think there must be a way to change this... it seems this is not an issue with 1.34 rom
I finally resolved this issue; anyone who has the same problem go to "Application Data" folder and delete this file: InternetPortal-en-AU.xml. or you can edit the InternetPortal-en-AU.xml file , it will then go to whatever URL you have changed in InternetPortal-en-AU.xml when you launch it by the Globe Icon, don't worry, the Globe is still there. As a rule of thumb, back up the file before you make changes
Please note that this InternetPortal-en-AU.xml is a read only file, you need to copy it to your PC for editing the URL you want to go when you hit the Globe Icon. First, uncheck the "read only" tab in file properities. then edit it with notepad on PC. After you are done, rename it to InternetPortal-en-AU-new.xml ( your file extension may be hidden) , copy it back to Diamond's" Application Data" folder. then launch "File Explorer" in your Diamond, then go to "Application Data" folder, rename InternetPortal-en-AU to InternetPortal-en-AU-bak then rename InternetPortal-en-AU-new to InternetPortal-en-AU, You are done !

So what does the screen show now? I mean before you tap on the browser.
Is it still the globe, just without directing you to the htc official site?
without the file, it will go to whatever homepage you have set in Opera's setting, or you can edit the InternetPortal-en-AU.xml file , it will then go to whatever URL you have changed in InternetPortal-en-AU.xml when you launch it by the Globe Icon, don't worry, the Globe is still there. Thanks vaio for web browser tip!

I've finally got time to try this out, & it works like a charm! thank you so much!
Now... would it be possible to change the browser icon to something of personal preference? I saw a path inside the *.xml & it directed to a banner.qtf or something. Or is it embedded?
Anyway, just want to thank you for this huge help.
princEd, thanks for your kind words.. will keep searching for tweaks..
Hi all, can anyone post the original script for "InternetPortal-en-AU.xml" Thanks in advance..
Hi.
I don't have this XML file in Application Data too, and my Internet Tab is just useless : the globe button does strictly nothing, neither do the "browser" or "more" bottom buttons, and the youtube link below the globe displays an error message about missing file or incorrect certificate.
So I would like to :
make the "Launch Browser" button launch Opera 9.5b or at least Internet Explorer
if possible, make it launch my homepage or a customizable page
remove this Youtube link
learn how to add other links
having a link/button to one-click des/activate WLAN would be just GREAT
Can somebody post the content of the XML file ?
And of course, if anybody knows how to achieve any of the above...
Thanks in advance
Phone: HTC Touch Diamond
Original ROM (strangely hadn't TF3D though, had to install tlr-manila-38.cab)
TF3D version: 1.1.34569.0_1630.38
Opera 9.5 Beta (bizzarely located: \Program Files\9.5 Beta\opera9.exe), IE
try reinstalling an opera cab, it may ask you to remove the old version if you have one. reset and try again.
doesn't change anything
I recently downloaded realplayer one to my Tilt but decided that I really did not need it after i downloaded it so i removed the program but the icon for realplayer is still on my programs list. How can i remove the icon?
Go to windows>start menu>program files and delete it from there.

Open file explorer, go to My Device, then go to windows>start menu>programs, and delete it from here. the 'program files' is a different area.
Note: using the remove programs (settings > system > remove programs) option would have probably done this all for you.

Thanx. I jus removed it through the 1st option u mentioned.
And i did actually use the remove programs option 1st but the icon still remained
This is common when you rearrange your start menu... since the start menu .ink file is not in it's original location.. the remove program option won't take out the link
Just posting it here for those who didn't see Schap's thread in the diamond section here:
To download Schaps Advanced Configuration Tool v3.0 go here:
http://www.touchxperience.com/
There are several notable improvement, the greatest of which is that you can export your settings as a provisional xml file. Check it out, and don't forget to donate if you like
Update:
Guess it was posted in development and hacking as well, just not updated in the title. Here's the link for that too:

How to use the provisioning XML feature of Schaps Advanced Config 3.0
By request of JimmyMcGee, our newest moderator here in the Kaiser forum, here are the steps to adding your advanced config settings to your UC for even easier flashing:
1) Open Advanced Config 3.0 and make all of your customizations.
2) Hit done, soft reset, then open Advanced Config again. Click "Menu", and "Export Provisioning XML"
3) Select the location you want your xml file to sent to by clicking the 3 dots next to the detail of the current location.
4) You will have 4 options, name (choose whatever you want), folder (i recommend selecting none), type (select xml), and location (i recommend the SD card). then click "Save" and then "okay"
5) Close Advanced Config, and navigate to wherever you have exported your file to verify that it is there.
6) Open your sdconfig.txt file, and add following line to your UC settings:
XML: \Storage Card\AdvancedConfigSettings.xml
7) Now you will have to flash your next rom it should automatically provision your settings while running the UC.
How To Use XML To Automatically Setup Email
You can follow the the same procedure for provisioning gmail, pop3, imap, & mail2web email accounts. The instructions can been seen here:

You are welcome, i strongly encourage you to look into the feature of exporting a provisional xml file. You can then use this file to customize your settings automatically whenever you flash using UC.

Jimmy asks and he shall receive. I have outlined the steps as best that i can for you. If any of it is unclear i will make corrections in the future to simplify it, feel free to make suggestions. (some steps could probably be skipped, but i will include them anyway):
1) Open Advanced Config 3.0 and make all of your customizations.
2) Hit done, soft reset, then open Advanced Config again. Click "Menu", and "Export Provisioning XML"
3) Select the location you want your xml file to sent to by clicking the 3 dots next to the detail of the current location.
4) You will have 4 options, name (choose whatever you want), folder (i recommend selecting none), type (select xml), and location (i recommend the SD card). then click "Save" and then "okay"

6) Open your sdconfig.txt file, and add following line to your UC settings:
XML: \Storage Card\AdvancedConfigSettings.xml
7) Now you will have to flash your next rom it should automatically provision your settings while running the UC.
Note: I would appreciate it if someone would verify this as i haven't had the chance to flash again to test it, and as such haven't been able to verify it. Additionally i already have a cab which configures many of these settings anyway. I have however followed the same procedure for provisioning my gmail, pop3, imap, & mail2web email accounts. The instructions can been seen here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2532214&postcount=1015
I will update the first post of this thread as well to help out those who would like to take advantage of this very simple and helpful procedure for us chronic flashers.

Hello guys. This is my first post/topic.I know there are already a lot of topics about GPS on I9001(that video when registering kinda scared me :angel
I can't connect to the sattelites in less then 5 minutes. This happens every time. Now,when I finally connect,I keep losing the lock so you can imagine what happens in Copilot...So basiclly I can't use the GPS.
This is what I tried to do:
-I re-downloaded the A-Gps data with "GPS Status" app
-I calibrated pitch,roll and compass
-I tightened the screws on the back
-I modified the "gps.conf" with "FasterGPS" app
I live in Romania,Easter Europe...
Do you know what else I should do to make my GPS work well?
open "gps.conf" in a text editor and check to see if you have there's at the top of file:
server 0.ro.pool.ntp.org
server 1.ro.pool.ntp.org
server 2.ro.pool.ntp.org
server 3.ro.pool.ntp.org
if not then add them, save file, and just copy paste over old file using "root exposure" (remember to set permission as same as old file) then reboot.
EDIT: read this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239713
EDIT: here's a gps.conf I made for Romania, just replace with old gps.conf then set permissions and reboot. download link http://db.tt/zI0QGkpF

Hey.Thanks for the file.I downloaded it,but I am not that good with phones(better with computers)
How do I set permissions after I replace the old gps.conf?
download "root explorer" goto where you download my file, copy it then goto system/ect/gps.conf then in the upper right corner of "root explore" select "mount rw" then paste my file over old gps.conf, then hold finger on gps.conf file and a popup box will appear, scroll down to where it says "permissions" and change them to -rw-r--r-- also scroll down to "change owner" and change both to "root" then change the setting in top right corner back to "mount ro" thats it, just reboot.

Ok I did everything and went outside to check it.I have "GPS Status" so I entered in it and checked. Finally, after 190 s,it connected to 4 of the 9 sattelites and then to 5 from 10:victory:
No problems.
I'm happy with it,but form what I heard it should connect in a few seconds. If it's not possible, then tell me.If it is,maybe I will do some other things to make it work faster.
Anyway,in general,I owe you a big THANKS
my gps takes about the same time to connect but it varies depending on satellite positions and cloud cover ect... now you know how to edit the gps.conf file you can search around see if you can find a better solution. anyway glad it's faster than before.
