Well, the title says it all, I was one of the idiots that deleted the im plugins without proprerly backing up and now I cannot access the market. I have already tried to flash to the new custom rom in hopes of getting my market access back, but for some reason no matter how many times I try the rom keeps coming up with errors ( see the last page in the custom rom thread to see if you have a fix for that ) However becasue the only thing wrong with my phone is the lack of access to the market, all I need is for someone to kindly supply me with the files for the market, and maybe also the im plugins I deleted, seeing those casued the problem, and I can just re-load them my self from adb. Someone please help me out.
Hi guys i been experimenting on my sisters acer liquid by rootin and installin the different roms and now i seem to have a problem with market. The application works i can see apps free and paid but when i try to install they get stuck on starting download for example i tried downloading quick boot and it remained on starting download for about 30min so had to cancel tried installing few other free apps but still same result. I dnt know if its happened to anyone else and i kinda dont have a nandroid backup of when the market was working cos it took me a wyl to have lickons custom recovery image working. everything els seems fine its jus the market.
Any help will be appreciated thanks
I had the very same problem after flashing 2.000.16_EMEA_GEN1. The fix is as simple as it's unexplainable (for me at least).
Just start the Google Talk application for a while and go download your apps
May be you have to format the micro SD too, because it have some minor parts of programs that can make confict with the new rom.
Ever than i put a new rom, i recommended format both (Phone & Sd).

You saying that the Galaxy S does not come with the "market" app is kinda surprising to me. I haven't seen a single report of any Galaxy S across the world without that application on it.
As for your other query, you can side-load applications using app installers as long as you get the apk's on the SD Card. But most applications will be available off the market directly.
Now I am not sure how the market app is not available on the Galaxy S, but you might try another similar application called "appbrain" (www.appbrain.com). However, how you can get that application installed on your phone would still be a mystery seeing that appbrain has to be installed using the market app.
Have you tried visiting a dealer and seeing a demo unit? That might help solve your predicament.
Cheers....
In the middle east, they wont, and the african region rom doesn't seem to (probably because it's illegal to export to some middle eastern countries).
You could try flashing to another region.. But, not sure how it affects your warranty..
ok thanks for the replays but still that isnt gonna fix it
can someone try the app on link
www
slidme.org
the one u use with ur phone bowser by entering a link and downloading
ok once u get that app use thier file managersearch slidme app installer and use it
and tell me if u manage to install .apk files from ur sd card using the slideme app installer
thank u for trying it for me in advance
also tried an actuall galaxy s at samsung retailer there was no market app
(when i tried it i was gonna buy it if it was working)
but the 3 bottons in the front were broken didnt light or respond so if i go in a menu i cant go back and have to restart luckily this gices me a couple of days to decide
so please try this methode for me
if u want .apk files i can give u a link to some i found on the net
thanks again
Just flash rom to euro one and maybe install market fix
i cant probably use the market app even if i had it
cuz if i try to open pc edition of it i cant do it with out a proxy so this will be the case for a rom with the app unless the market fix disables the location detection or something that doesnt let the google know where i am
so best bet for now is for someone to test slideme.org appinstaller for me and tell me if it works on galaxy s and if they can download the sam3 client from the web browser
in the first place
thanks for the reply

I accidently delete some pictures on my HTC one, I tried a couple of programs to recover my pictures.
But non of the program seem to be able to finde my HTC, ever though its in debugging mode.
What program will you recommend for recover delete pictures.?
I'm on stock and are not rooted.
its hard to recover stuff using your computer because the HTC One is detected as an MTP device. Go to the playstore and search photo recovery and try some of the apps that come up. I remember using one that seemed to work really well just dont remember its name.

Thanks, i will look around
If you come up with the name of the app, please let me know.
edit:
I just tried 10 different apps, 8 was adware not doing anything.
Only app "worked" and let you recover 3 pictures, you don't get to choose which one, and i couldn't find the three pictures afterwards.
I'm a little lost now.
still lost
I have tried several apps, but still no dice.
I have tried dr. fon and remo. but they both can't recognize my htc one.
dr. fon just keep booting my phone.
It looks like it wanna install a driver, but which one i don't know.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
