sorry to bother, but ive been trying to scour the forums to find out if anyone has had this problem and couldnt come up with anything solid, but i just tried flashing my sprint hero with DamageControl v2.08.1 and when i reboot it stays at the HTC quietly brilliant screen and then keeps playing the sprint logo over and over again,
does anyone know of a solution for this?
Here is a solution, post this in the Damage thread or the General section of the forums. This doesnt belong here.

Since i changed from WM6.1 to WM6.5 none of the ROM's have sound anymore.
I won't use a WM6.1 anymore, i want to use the WM6.5 ROM's.
Does someone knows a possible fix for this?

First , welcome to the forum. That said, you are not going to make too many friends around here if you continue the way you started.
3 Posts and 2 of them were new useless threads to further clutter our forum.
It is nice to meet you but you could nave easily posted your " hello " and your question in the same thread, also it is against forum rules to double post the same question in the rom dev. and general forum.
The " no sound issue " has been answered 1000 times in a 100 different threads. A simple search would have found an answer without the need to start yet another thread about it. Flash a new and compatible radio from here.
Sorry to sound mean, but new threads by newbies, clutter the forum and make searching 100's of times harder, because of all the useless hits.
Welcome to the forum.
Same sentiments as denco7 please respect forum rules no double posts.
Also using the search will provide 99% of questions peeps have.
On that note thread closed.
I'm looking for the fastest, simplest & most reliable android rom for Tytn 2.
Does anybody have any idea?
Thanks.
I have an idea, go look throught the android rom threads and figure it out on your own.
You are required to read the sticky before posting, in that it says, thou shall not ask questions like this.

Forum rules link doesn't work in the sticky., also been through 10 pages of thread index to find an answer. If you don't have anything helpful to add, better just keep your rude comments to yourself.
Well the link worked at one point and I will post my comments where ever I want.
The forum rules are on every page of forum pretty much "depeneding on what theme use"
We do not allow the question regards best due to a several reasons: Only you will find the best ROM as all points of view, can cause falming, keeping the forum clean etc.
As all threads on this topic thread closed.
Earlier today I created a new thread about the volume level on my phone being low and if there was a way to fix it. Within a few hours I came back to see if anybody had replied with any suggestions, the entire thread was deleted!!
Who decides which threads get to live and which ones die? And by what criteria is this decision made? I have a real problem and asked an honest question. Why was my thread deleted? I didnt get a message stating why or anything. Poof, the thread was just gone. I've been a long time member of this message board and have answered and posted many good posts. I think it was a raw deal that when I had a real problem and needed help, some power-hungry jerk just deleted my thread with no explanation what's so ever.
Only mods can delete threads. In the future, you should search better before opening a new thread. Mods are strictly enforcing the rules more (operation Iron Fist).
Yea, I always try to search first. Even when I'm typing the topic of the new thread the forum auto searches for you.
I did search and didnt really find anything that was 100% dead-on what I was asking about.
I guess since the Captivate forum has a new moderator, he's feeling powerful; deleting posts/threads at the drop of a hat.
Thinking of posting a new thread???

Post What Where:
General - general technical discussion items, news, anything else that does not fit into the other fora categories.
Q&A (Questions and Answers) - all questions, irrespective of type, get posted in here whether they be theme related, accessory related, technical, etc.
Accessories - any items to do with components and/or accessories relating to your device.
Development - only meant for very advanced technical discussion directly related to ROM/Kernel/Device development activity. Nothing else goes in here.
Themes & Apps - anything to do directly with the development of themes and/or applications. Nothing else goes in here.
EDIT: BEFORE POSTING ANY THREAD IN THE DEVELOPMENT SECTION, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:
If you have developed a ROM/Kernel/Device Hack/Mod, or are working with others to do so, the development forum is somewhere to discuss and share ideas, post useful feedback and logs or crash dumps, and to discuss a common goal developers are trying to achieve.
It is NOT the place to post your question because it gets higher traffic, or because more experienced users frequent it. Doing this just annoys those who are working on the device, and drives them away. Developers don't want to wade through 20 threads of "Help me urgently" to find their threads for porting and fixing camera issues etc. Similarly, if a thread is designated as discussion for developers say, porting a camera fix, please do not post in there asking "When will it be ready?", "Can I flash this yet?" etc. This is both completely disrespectful to those working on the project (you evidently haven't read the important posts in the thread), and also is making it harder for developers to find comments from other developers or testers when required.
Similarly, don't make loads of "Thanks for your work here" posts in an active development thread. It's just as annoying to developers as asking when something will be ready. If a ROM is complete, then go ahead and thank the developer if you wish, but don't go into threads for devs only, and interrupt it to post "thanks". It's basically spamming, and is treated as such.
If you are posting in development, you should have read every sticky and notice there, and should be actively developing or helping in the development of something. Developing isn't installing a ROM, or using a tweak, it's creating a ROM or other hack or tweak. If you haven't read for several days before starting out on XDA, you are likely about to ask something already solved. I registered on XDA when I first wanted to post, and that was to join in a discussion on something. Sure, join up and ask a question, but read the information available in General and Q&A first, as your question will have been asked before. Search is your friend here, become familiar with it.
Regarding when to post in development if you are not actually developing something, there is one occasion where it's acceptable. If you find a leak of a new ROM, which isn't already posted, and you verify it's legitimacy via either running it, or based on the source you obtained it from, then this is assisting in development, and should be posted in development. If you want to ask when a leak will be available use search first, then if not already in discussion, open a thread in general or Q&A.
If you have a problem flashing a ROM, this is NOT related to development. It's up to you to determine if it is specific to a particular ROM, and post useful information in that developer's existing thread for the ROM. If it happens on more than one ROM, and isn't a known issue (remember you should read several times more words than you post), then find out what you are doing wrong. Check guides written by others, try to repeat the problem and see if it happens every time. Something needs to be reproducible to be fixed effectively.
Once you have identified what you need help with go to the device Q&A forum (general if device lacks one), and make a clear, informative thread that explains the issue, and what you have tried doing to fix it. Did you re-download the ROM? Did you ask a friend to flash it for you, to reduce chance of user error? What steps (exactly) did you follow? What errors did you see (exact wording)? Did you double check all the steps? Did you do a wipe or hard reset?
If you make a clear, concise, yet detailed post, you will find help forthcoming, and should get the problem sorted very quickly. If someone suggests you try something, report back on what happened, did it work etc. Then, next time someone has this issue and searches, they will find this and have a verified and tested solution.
So remember... before you start a thread in development, ask yourself what you are developing?... If you can't answer, then stop, step away from the post button, and think about where you are posting. Would it be better in General or Q&A, or is some more time with your best friend, search, required?
You forgot to stick and close this thread
I need to ask a question regarding a my knock on issue but can't reply to a thread that I want to post in. So I guess I need to post in here to see if someone can copy my question to that thread. I would like to get this resolved but I'm at a stand still until someone can help me out.
This is the thread I want to ask a couple of questions in.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g2/development/easy-verizons-hidden-menu-t2825967
I've followed the instructions for the hidden menu. I've got it installed and did the firmware update. It seems to be working for everyone. It's not for me however. I'm on the newer version and I still can't get the knock on to work. Knock off works fine. I've noticed that some of my apps have dead spots on the screen also.
What do I do next. It was working fine last night. I put the phone on my charger around 2am last night, woke up at 9 and it didn't work.
Will a factory reset work? I'm on verizon 24a stock rom but rooted. I noticed that there is a system update available. I really don't want to have to reflash back. I like the phone as it is. I just want the knock on feature to work and my other apps. Can someone help me out here.
Thanks,
Jake
Rather than being in such a rush to post in a Development forum, spend a bit more time to ensure you post in the correct section to begin with.
We have a Q&A forum for a reason... that's where this should have been posted so I've moved it there.
Also, Development forums are for Development. They are not generally for the purpose of posting your Q&A.
Search properly first... You're unlikely to be the first person to experience your issue and your question has more than likely been answered multiple times.

Sorry....I've search and search for my specific problem and there's nothing in these threads that cover it. I was under the assumption that I could only post in the general forum only due to my post count. Didn't know I could post in the Q&A forum or I would have put it there. Thanks for moving it for me.
What I'm trying to understand is since there's already a thread on this problem, why shouldn't I be allowed to post in it instead of starting a new thread about the same topic that won't be looked at. I'll follow the rules but to me it would seem easier to post in that thread without having to start a brand new thread on the same topic.

You're welcome to post in that thread now, without trying to boost your post count any further.
I've moved that thread out of the Development forum because it shouldn't have been there to begin with.
