I have been up and down these threads and cannot find my answer. SO I hope someone will be able to help me.
My TP2 is connected via usb to WMDC (says connected) and when I try to run the hardspl I get this error:
Fatal Error
Please make sure Device is properly synced; Please retry after syncing the device (via Activesync or WMDC)
then I click ok
and get;
Error

I'd bought my htc p3600 pro (black, free from sim-lock & free from any carrier) from London.
As advised by TRINITYGUIDES.INFO site I tried to do HardSPL with all the three available HardSPL files, but of no avail.
When the HardSPL's progress bar comes(on pc) it gives a message on my phone " Enterbootloader.exe....This may harm your device...Do you want to continue.." I pressed yes & the process stopped & gave an error on pc "Error 246 Device not responding" & on phone screen showed the bootloader with

I did soft reset on my p3600 & its working as usual with it original spl infos.

Ok I did it and my PDA works very well, but now I would like to solve the problem radicaly... How can I solve this problem? Before flash manually enter bootloader. After start the rom update utility. (As www.trinityguides.info suggest). You will not get error 246 any more

Here is written to flash rom you should manually enter to bootoader. In this case, you will not have error 246.
Most of the people know this, so they have not this problem
Those who not manually enter bootloader can get error 246, and this way of flashing is not as safe as the manual bootloader way.
(because in this case you use the spl uploaded by RUU, not the hard-spl on the PDA)

When i connect my touch hd to pc in active sync mode, then shutdown device an run in bootloader (volume down and power button at same time) i get the tricolor screen and after a while i get the progress bar on my phone and on pc. But i stays on 0% and says 'update error' after a while.
please help

Hi Me has the trinity 3600 as a VPA GPS vodafone branding, and i get the same error message trying to run the bootloader and entering tricolor screen, ---> error 246 aber manually starting into bootlaoder and restatrting the romupdateutil.exe same error 260 no connention...
So you guys have a working version of the updating ?
And please remove all the links which are not working, linking a solve for the 246 problem, there are nomore links available...

I found a way to solve the problem 246 go in you mobile device, -->start -> settings-> connections ->USB to PC open this. Remove the hook @ Advanced networksettings activation! ---> click OK--> close
try again the bootloader etc, then on the tricolore reboot screen is shown USB in the lower white field and the bootloader can do its routine complete.
Have Fun with flashing the phones!

Try actually reading that thread. It should fix your problem. People arent going to hand you step by step directions for problems already solved. It says there that if MTTY crashed your phone, this should get you back up and running using frankenkaiser.

I opened hardSPL, the program found the phone. But it doesn't update it. After 30 seconds it says: Error 202: CONNECTION
but I connected it, activesync is open??!!!
And do I make everything right?
1.) HardSPL - to open the phone for the new rom
2.) how to get new rom on the phone?
3.) how to make it to a perfect end?
please help me, I tried to read me through the forum, but now i am confused.

After you have succeeded in installing the HardSPL you have to download any ROM that you want to try on this forum. I suggest that you use the MicroSD method as it is much easier than updating it using your PC. Try reading this thread, if you still have not.

Hi!!! Has anyone tried to upgrade the ROm as yet... Well I have tried and failed. I have HSPL 1.56 Olinex installed and have searched through the WIKI entirely but not gotten anywhere...
The thing is that wen i connect the phone and try to install the ROM, it goes into Bootloader and I get error 202 [Connection error]
I have searched the wiki, but for that error msg, it only says connect the device againa and make sure activesync is enabled...well i have already ensured all the things mentioned but still facing the same issue...PLZ HELP !!!!

No idea why HTC is releasing this rom now "OFFICIALLY" as they.

Thx for the response, although could anyone tell me whether I can flash another rom even if I have HSPL 1.56 installed and overwrite it with USPL???? or how as I have read the thread mentioned int the above post and it still keeps pointing me towards installing USPL...can smone throw sm more light on this???

Uspl is not something you flash on to your phone like the hardspl, it is executed in your windows operating system of your personal computer, it is like a medium which allows to flash unsigned ROMs on to the HTC blackstone a.k.a HTC Touch HD from your computer. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 be sure to downgrade your drivers and disable the driver signature enforcement in vista and Windows 7 and yes you can flash other ROMs by using Uspl even if you have hardspl on your device because it will not overwrite yout Hardspl. Try searching and reading through the forum for the answers. i hope i have shed enough light for you to pass through your problem. have fun flashing. enjoy

is the radio on? it won't work in flight mode.

The radio is on, the battery is about 90% charged.
Guess I'll have to use that.

that file will only work to update a device that already has Hard-SPL.
