Hi there
Can we have this landscape theme on our fuzes? This is from a blackstone.
I think the landscape mode that comes with the most roms is not useful. it will be good if we can have a landscape mode with the same funtionality as portrait mode.
Have U tryed SEARCH function ?
I did it ... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=491774

I for one would like a landscape as depicted, I don't understand why you pointed to NRG's ROM I know he is working on the Manila 2 with others but I haven't seen anything like this before.
That landscape is from the new rhodium (TP2) and Tapaz (D2) manila It isn't finished yet. Xbox, DHarvey and myself and a couple of others are working our ass off to get it finished. NRG's ROM has a preview of that manila (unfinished. So take that or check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475557
I did search for hours and nothing. what i want is a landscape theme where you can read your sms, have the music functionality with the album cover, a calendar, programs tab, etc. just like portrait mode.

you must be dumber than Sarah Palin. That's TF3D2 on the Blackstone which was ripped from the new Rhodium ROM and it currently being ported to VGA. If you want to try it out then you can flash NRG's new ROM.
This is a good example of asking a question which has plentifully been answered. Still I think it's better to ignore it than bashing the TS, I'm sure in time he'll learn to search properly and we don't have to waste our time on these things.

Don't forget that some users might still find these topics helpfull, like me for example. I find this forum very difficult to get through, to find the information I need (since some topics count over 70 pages). The search function doesn't give me good results either. I've had a TYTNII for a year, and I never understood why the manila2d couldn't be done in landscape mode.
<--- "That's TF3D2 on the Blackstone which was ripped from the new Rhodium ROM and it currently being ported to VGA. If you want to try it out then you can flash NRG's new ROM" --->
The above made me realize that it's because of ripping/porting that manila-landscape still doesn't exist for tytnII nor for raphael (my new phone).
Anyway, I'll get to the point. I don't think it's a waste of time to reply to these sort of questions, just lock the topic afterwards. It's not always because of a noob not able to find the search function. We're not all rocket scientists you know .
EDIT: And now I think of it, what's the pain replying on a topic which will probably cost you about 4 seconds of your life?
enough bashing for the poor fellow?
if you don't want to flash another rom, there's a cab i found a while back that has something like that and is installable as a cab file.

rhodium manila port
maybe I'm missing something glaringly obvious, but if you're interested in getting the the landscape mode to look like the portrait, go here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493531
As mentioned in some of the other responses, it is the rhodium version of manila (aka touch flo) that has been ported to the touch pro (aka Raphael). It works on most ROMs to my knowledge including stock ROMs. Currently, XBMod is working on porting the Topaz version of manila to the touch pro (see link). It works wonderfully on the Alltel touch pro, which is what I have. Hope this helps.

This is the new touchflo 3D 2. has all the lanscape things you want
Thanks to hilaireg, irus, herg & everyone who helped to test, we have a working *test* version of YouTube 2.5.
>>> This port is NOT perfect. See below for the known issues. <<<
EDIT: File links added. Screenshots will follow (when I have time). Please be patient .
*Outstanding Issues*
NOTE: This MAY NOT work with WM6.5. A WM6.1 with 21000+ SYS MAY BE REQUIRED for this to function properly.
Landscape Mode
The Video Band would need to be shrunk down significantly so as to display the Info icon and the Button Widget would need to move down so as to expose the Filter/Edit/Clear/Search button.
The Filter/Edit/Clear/Search button remains hidden behind the Button Widget.
Suspicion is that the Button Widget is supposed to appear along the bottom of the Landscape view when in Landscape mode.
Portrait Mode
When the Filter/Edit/Clear/Search button is in Filter state, the last two options of the Filter menu are not visible. Switching to Landscape mode and tapping just above the Button Widget invokes the Filter menu.
When in Landscape mode, scrolling the list of videos temporarily hides the Button Widget and displays the position of the Filter/Edit/Clear/Search button.
*Non-Developers*
The .EXE’s and DLL’s have been signed using MSSIGNER. Although users have the option to install YouTube to an alternate location, it should be installed on the Device as some of the .DLL’s are services that run at device startup.

The OEM folder contains the latest TEST version of YouTube 2.5. All of the Rhodium 1.20.531.0 packages required to make YouTube function have been added. The registry file contains all of the registry entries from these packages – the MASD registry key indicates what has been added.
The registry file has been renamed to _YouTube-MASTER.reg and will need to be renamed to a GUID.RGU or APP.REG if chefs decide to cook the TEST package in their ROMs

I haven't gotten my hands on the 21051 Rhodium ROM yet, so I don't know what goodies are contained therein. Anyone know how I can get my hands on that?

i hate to say it but i think the only difference between the two versions is region, as in some minor differences in network settings.

Not going to spam the Hero/G2 forum, but because i mainly live in the G1 area I would like you all to know that I have developed a whole new Home Replacement called GDE. It has transitions like a cube, configurable toolbar buttons etc etc.
A link to the G1 thread ( with all features and some movies ) so i dont have to copy all of it over and over:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=4698010#post4698010
I have tested this on a G1 and a G2, so it should also run great on a Hero. If anyone has tried it please let me know how it works on your devices!
Highly recommend...currently replacing sense as my default home screen. Reminds me of compiz ...you definitely need to check it out!!!
how to download this?
It's in the market, read the comments if you don't believe me. I really like it a lot but going back to sense for now until an update.
@erasmogjr
Thanks for the replies. Could you let me know what you would want see first in an update?
I tried it any for a first release its very good. BUT the bottom app bar is not nice. Is there any way to make it transparent?
I am working on a theming framework so you should see different themes soon!
BOUGHT!!
this is great, keep up the good work and im looking forward to see updates
Is there a Lite version to try before buying it?
I did a search and only came up with the paid version.
Hi guys, I just got my HTC pure a few days ago, and I'm trying to customize it. However I'm kinda a beginner at this, so I was hoping you guys would be kind enough help me with them. I have a series of question and any help is welcome.
1. How do I rotate the Manila screen? I had the TD2 tools install and it works on some programs. I think lyriquidperfection had already given the answer for this but I cant seem to find it. And if you're kind enough, please tell me how the programs work, coz there's no instruction anywhere.. BTW, the enable manila screen in the TD2 doesn't work and I have Manila 2.1.19183217.0 which the forum said should be able to rotate.
2. I cant get Manila to work with programs like S2P or Mircosoft Word, which is unusual since there programs support landscape view , any help with that?
3. I heard there a way for you to put shortcuts into Home tab, how do you do this? And can you change the background picture of other tabs other than just the home tab and the start menu?
4. At&T sent me a text said that I have to choose a data plan or they will choose one for me, which is a bummer. They changed the regulation in September and I didnt know anything about it. They should've sent mail to all customers about this. They didn't even tell me anything when I upgraded my phone until after the Sim card was activated. Anyway, is there a way to get out of this? if not, I read in the forum there a way for you to use your phone as a modern unnotice by AT&T, is this true?
5. Is there a way for the phone to rotate in more than the 2 default directions? When I check the G-sensor, it detects all directions.
6. The last one is flash ROM, there a ROM in this forum that the guys was able to make the Manila Screen Rotate sideway, and he got the music player rotates too. But I dont really like the look of the whole display. So my question is can I install a ROM and use only parts of it functions while left the others the way it is? And Do you think Flashing ROM is a better solution than using TD2 for G-sensor rotation?
Here a link to the ROM: forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562942 (I cant post a link since I'm a new user)
Thank you in advance for all your helps!
3) Shortcuts in Manila home screen is a feature of Manila 2.5. You would have to flash to a ROM using this version. It is possible to have the same image in all tabs using one of two methods. Either with bg4alltabs or with HDWall. Search the forum to learn more.
I can't help much with your other questions as most are rotate based and i don't bother with that!
Thanks DirkGently1 for responding . I actually solved number 1, 2, and 5 which are all about rotation. I edited the registry of some programs and used G-config for the rest. Somehow it worked like a charm. For some reasons TD2 Tools didn't seem to work on my phone. For #6, it turned out I have to unlock my phone to be able to Flash ROM and I'm just happy with the way my phone is now so maybe in the future. Still #4, does anyone knows how to get out of the data plan?
I personally like the stock theme however I want to change the slide out theme since I use video out option alot I would like it to just show the normal touch flo screen is this possible and if so where can I get the cab?
ThankS!
does anyone know?
What do you mean a slide out theme? Like, the sound that plays? or do you mean the screen image and buttons and such?

yea screen image mainly. I would like to have it like the touch pro 2 has it
example
http://www.htctouchpro2deals.org.uk/htc-touch-pro2-t7373-a-smart-way-of-communication.html
meaning I simply hate to slide the keyboard open and see a black background with 6 boxes. I rather have the normal touch flo 3d look but on a wider scale.
ok i see what you mean. you want landscape touch flo...
just go flash a new rom with sense 2.1 or sense 2.5 in... the original touch flo only have that 6 boxes landscape interface, and these newer ones that have been ported to the device have fully functional landscape just like touch pro 2.
if you don't want to flash a new rom. i think there are cab packages... but they can be problematic.
Try SPB Mobile Shell
I have a cracked cab file... I don't really use it anymore since I got idiamond working on my touch pro, but I have the cab file if you want.
Or I could send you a link to the idiamond thread (the one that is not the beta) d/l in it.

I donno if there are more cities...i assume there should be more.. but not sure as my city is always on the list...
I'm trying this rom now. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=792880
its winmo 6.1, and has sense 2.5.2019 which is much much better than the original touchflo3d.
If you have never flashed a new rom before, you might need to do a few things before you flash this rom to your device. for details please read the ultimate guide for flashing a rom lol http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
you can always look for another rom that suits you and check what new programs are built in them.
After you flashed the rom, i suggest you try the new cookie home tab 2 as well. its a modification for sense 2.5. making it even more than better (this rom already has cookie home tab 1)....but its still in beta so you might want to wait for a while...
BTW YOU WILL DEFINITELY LOSE YOUR DATA (not those in memory card...i mean everything in your phone memory like contacts) so back up before you flash.
(If you choose to install a cab version of sense 2.5 on to your current rom.... thats another story but..they are buggy and slow so just backup and flash a new rom...)
