No, you need 1.6+
Maybe someone can share it for users who can't find it on the market but have a ROM of 1.6 or higher... (like me, just can't find it on the net :S)

Use Market Place, if you have 1.6 you should find it.

LOL..... and me!
Yep, it doesn't work
Won't work on 1.5. That's why you can't find it in the Market. Sucks because I was looking forward to using it.
nope but it works well on lox & bens 2.1 Hero 1.6 build
Thx for the answer...
Anybody knows a good System Monitor Widget with your latest system stats and info.
I found aiSystemWidget but after 73 hours using it you have to pay for it
Anybody with a good free alternative that works on the Hero?
sry, no help about the widget, but your signature is wrong:

good didn't want to complain, but flashing a wrong recovery can cause trouble... so a cdma recovery should not sit in the same sig as a gsm hero...

yes doesn't make any difference, I think its a bug in the ROM I am using but I'm not sure...
Same here, i cant find it either. Very annoying and its not the only free-app i cant have through market. This "private app"-thing will probably increase alternative repos with illegal content.
I´m in Sweden and my Hero is loaded with Modaco 3.1.
Has anyone been able to download any real tablet apps and if you have can you post how.
Hmm I can't find market anywhere

The funny thing is - your guide sucks. Removing velvet.apk removes Google launcher and you have to manually open Google now-Google search to use it and OK Google function. + learn proper English or use auto correction. I don't speak English to, but I do my best to be understood.
His guide didnt work for me the first time either but I kept trying, even with different launchers I think the trick for me was rebooting before installing Google search and then again after. Now it works. My friend also did this, it worked for him as well. I'm not saying this WILL work for you but its worth a try good luck.
