can any1 make a windows seven mobile rom sprint touch pro 2 cdma?
Nope.
Not now at least. There's someone working on it, but no one's sure it'll actually work.
Patience.
Moved to CDMA forum.

Can anyone confirm if the HTC Touch Pro or HTC Touch Diamond from sprint will work with the Diamond android port? I keep seeing comments about it only working with gsm... More specifically with gsm on sprint - sprint offers the cdma versions of these phones..
anyone.. can anyone tell me if they have been able to successfully use the cdma htc touch pro (from sprint).. I gotta do this soon and I'm gonna be bummed if i can't run android
I have an HTC Imagio which is the verizion version of the Touch Diamond 2. It is a worldwide phone so it is capable of GSM and CDMA networks.
So will the the plethora of ROMs for the Topaz on this website work for it?
The imagio isn't the cdma version of the touch diamond 2 lol.
It's a different phone based of the touch hd and pro 2.
Do not try flashing a topaz rom, you will just brick your phone..if the flashing program will even let you flahs it
never never ever flash a cdma phone with gsm roms or vice versa.
Imagio not diamond2.
Surprising untrue. Sprint will be releasing it as the touch diamond2. Weird, yes. Confusing, yes. Unnecessary, maybe.

On paper they look similar. But one is GSM, the other is CDMA/GSM.
Also, the touch diamond uses the MSM7200A processor, the imagio MSM7600.
And the imagio has a 400mAh bigger battery.
Dont flash between devices. If they are the same, there wont be a seperate forum for Whitestone.
Ok i got my touch pro 2 from ebay and currently own a sidekick and will be using both phones at different times and was wondering if i switch my sidekick plan to the even more plus with 500 minutes, unlimited text & web will i be able to use the web on my sidekick and touch pro 2 by switching the sim card between phones?

If we're talking about mobile web, then most likely no.

i thought that the even more plus plan data works with all phones, so i guess im wrong thanks for you help!
i dont know about the sidekick, but the Even More Plus plan should work on your touch pro 2.
however, you will only get edge speeds if you do not have the 1700 band.
I had that plan and it will work by switching between phones. I used a Blackberry abd Touch Pro 2. I had the Blackberry service and web worked on all of my devices. I didn't have Tmo service where I moved and had to switch. They have the best customer service.
He guys
Here is the question straight forward, I bought a used US Cellular HTC Touch Pro 2 from someone who uses the phone on a CDMA network while i will have to use it on a GSM network the seller said that there is a SIM slot underneath the battery which he never used, Will this phone work on my GSM network outside U.S. and will that phone be unlockable?
This is not the correct forum. Use use touch pro 2 cdma or general for these questions.
Heres a link http://rhodiumw.htc-unlocks.com/
no way
I dont think there is a cdma cellphone which you can use as a gsm

Sorry but that's not right. The CDMA versions of the TP2 have GSM capability too, and have a SIM slot for that purpose, as said above.
As also said above though, the CDMA sub-forum is the best place for this sort of question though.
ok People i've Moved this to CDMA froum Please help there

Hopefully someone knows the answer or can point me to the right forum....I left my Nokia 900 and ATT last year for Metro PCS and a Samsung galaxy S III, I miss Windows Phone. Does anyone know if any Windows 8 phones from any of the carriers can be flashed to run on Metro's network? It seems like they have a unique LTE frequency that no one else is using. I am jonesing to get a Windows 8 phone but I need one that can talk to the Metro PCS network. Anyone know a little about this? I trust XDA heads way more than I trust the Metro PCS retailers.
Thanks
I'm actually surprised also, with all the recent low end phones out there, it makes one wonder why there aren't any WP7.8 or WP8 devices available for carriers such as Boost Mobile, Cricket, Virgin, or Metro PCS

Because the Back end Network For Boost, Virgin, and Metro (sorry I know nothing of Cricket) is Sprint and we all know how much Sprint loves the WP.

Cricket is it's own Network unlike the rest, it's kind of like Metro PCS.
