To anyone who has the stock ATT Tilt ROM, (or someone who has a ROM with all the original WM6 ringtones) would you please do me a big ole' favor and grab the ringtones from your phone, zip them up, and post them? I finally flashed my first ROM yesterday, and it's great, but it only has a couple ringtones to choose from, and none of them are the ones I used most from the stock rom.
It seems that the quickest and easiest way to grab the files I need is to connect the phone to the PC so you can explore that way, go to the \Windows directory, sort by File Type, scroll down to the "w's" and copy all the Windows Media Audio .wma files whose filenames start with "Ring - ...".
They should all be pretty small so I would think the total size of the zip file should end up being relatively small as well.
I'd be ever so grateful!

You're very welcome. Just trying to give back.
You're the best P1! Thanks!
P1, I just looked at your list. Very comprehensive, but I don't think you've got the one I used a lot. It was called Telephone Ring 3, I think. There was also Telephone Ring 1 and 2 that I didn't use as much. You don't have those I assume?
Would anyone be able to just post those 3 files from their Tilt?
Thanks again.

I just know in my head. No list that I know of.
Anyone know where I can get standard LOUD ring tones for the Tilt?
Also, what folder does it need to be in in order for the sound menu to find it?
If it's just an incoming call ringtone then it can be anywhere I think, just select "Set as ringtone".
If you want a custom text or email tone you have to drop it into the 'windows' folder, then you'll be able to find it in the drop-down menu for sounds and notifications.
In order to make your tones louder, you can download a free piece of software called "Audacity".
I had a few tones that were a bit too quiet, so I gave 'em a boost using Audacity.
I regretted it a bit when I was in the Doctor's waiting room and the "2 girls 1 cup" tune blared out when I received a call!

I use the "Top Cat" theme tune now.
That makes everyone smile, whereas the aforementioned tone only got the occasional "knowing" smirk from internet weirdos.

So there is something in this world that can gross you out... Personally the repair rech for my equipment at work told me to look that video up about 5 or 6 months ago and I felt for sure I was going to throw up.

OK guys... just settle down.... Here is a QUICK way to increase the volume of any ring tone you want:
1. Connect your phone to ActiveSync with your PC. In ActiveSync, click on Tools/ Explore Pocket PC, Click on My Windows Mobile device/ Click on Windows, and locate all the Wav files including your ring tones. Copy them into a new folder on your DeskTop.
2. On your DeskTop, click on Start/ All programs / Accessories / entertainment / Sound recorder.
3. In sound recorder, click on file and open and select to open the folder you saved those wav files in, then select a desired wav file.
4. Click on effects, then increase the volume (25%). Save the new NOW LOUDER wav file into the folder created earlier. Chose a new name.
5. You can repeat No. 4 above and each time you do it the volume will increase by 25%.
6. when done copy the newly created (LOUDER) wav files into Windows on your device using the activeSync window.
Good luck...
Or you could download GoldWave, a free audio editing suite.
I use adobe audition to edit my mp3's to create ringtones, as well as amplifying them. GoldWave does this too but is far more basic (when i say basic theres still a hell of alot it can do, just not as intuative as audition, but then thats not free is it!)
http://makeownringtone.com with default settings produces ringtones with good loudness.
Sparrowhawk; any chance of you posting the Top Cat wav file? Thanks!

Does anyone have the cab file for this? I found it rly cool and would like to add it to a custom rom I'm gonna be cooking this weekend. I finally gonna take the plunge to cooking after hundreds of flashes done successfully under my watch. I'd rly appreciate it.
I'll make a donation to the one who gets it to me.
I put some extra sliding sounds on my kaiser yesterday and came across this (but haven't used it) - looks like it includes the R2D2 sounds in the cab:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1975275&highlight=slideout#post1975275
also this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=237257&highlight=R2D2
again I've not used but hopefully those links should help
oops sorry the cab file link from that post looks dead...
thanks for trying tho, I appreciate it.
You could always take one of the WAVs found HERE, under R2D2, and put it in the windows directory of your ROM. That is where the rest of the WAVs that windows uses are stored. That way it would show up as a default sound.
I made a custom sliding sound cab which includes the R2D2 sound along with 19 other sound!!
Its big file but awesome sounds like transformers, mario, bender, swords...

Awesome dude! Thanks!
Brilliant sounds! Just what the doctor ordered...
Question, Are there any notification sound packs available?
The Zedge app is hard to navigate and has a lot of well substandard sounds.
I was hoping someone made a pack with decent sounds just available to download and to place on the SD card.
(By the way, Excuse me if this is in the wrong forum, I just figured this would be the best place for it.)
Same... the list is really short !

There is no installation cab. You have to manually install the theme.
All instructions are in the first post, where you clicked the download link, also the instructions are in the txt file, within the archive file that you have, named "INSTALLATION".........

You must acquire Wisbar Advanced Desktop 2 on your own.

refreshing of xbox live tile
Hi.
First, congrats on a fantastic theme. I'm new to this arena, and extremely impressed with your work.
My question is, how do you make the xbox live tile scroll through the pictures simulating a moving image? I have tried to decipher the programming, and can't seem to figure it out. I'm also new to using WAD2.
Thanks in advance.
Again, congrats on a great theme. Best one I've seen so far.
