Hello i was messing with my g1 , and i flash an spl
bad spl im sure
im stuck at screen where after i flashed at spl it said press back and home to reboot
after it reboot it went to a screen
where it shows a box with a arrow coming out of it point to an android...
Really really lost on how to fix this, please help any one...
Have made a pic , sorta of how it looks..
Void the writing , just a look like i tried to make with other tpyes of pics...
does it boot into recovery or fastboot? if so just redownload spl and reflash...

iv had the elegance rom on my p3600 running perfect so try'd to unlock the phone to half way through it disconected from usb and rebooted but will only go as far as start up i love this phone and want it back the way it was any help please
havent u installed hard spl first?
if not...that could be a problem!
if u did just press the camera+power+soft reset buttons to enter the bootloader and install everithing again...see if that works!
(if i am wrong just correct it)

I try to turn it on becuase I was going to get hero on my phone but it JUST WONT BOOT! It just stays at the T -- Mobile G1 Screen. HELP I'm getting SOOO frustrated
Brick? Can you boot into fast boot, camera + end? Did you flash the spl before the radio, if so there is no chance of recovery?
No I didnt do anything with SPL and everything works fine just i Can't go into recovery mode!
If you can't get into recovery or bootloader then you sir have yourself a nice lil brick.
I have never encountered this issue... have been flashing roms for years.. on my windows phones and my G1 since it was possible..
The other day I went up update my phone to the latest CM ROM.. my phone finished and then I booted up the phone.. the screen was black.. i waited for a long time and not even the G1 screen showed up..
I booted again.. and same thing.. i booted again for days and tried getting into the recover with no luck..
I read someone had a simliar issue on here and they went into recover (though no screen or text shows up on screen) and proceded to hit alt w to wipe..i did that aswell and the next boot up the G1 screen showed up. I then did a complete wipe from there and began to install the new HTC recover and CM rom from scratch.. then same thing happend.. i kept getting the black screen...
I then tried to install the original SPL and install the original G1 rom and start all over.. i was able to install the original SPL (which I think is part of the issue) and then turned off the phone.. I placed the dreaimg in the sdcard and went to hit CAMERA and POWER.. and nothing shows up..
I can't for how many times i tried am able to get the phone to go into the install screen from holding down CAMERA and POWER..
I am able to restore the phone using the nanback up from the recover but since I installed the SPL it went away.. not sure if they are connected somehow.. so now i don't have those options either..
Can somebody help me with some ideas on how to fix this?

As far as been here and read some post about not able getting into recovery or tri color screen not working as well and not getting any response from phone

I am able to get to the Amon Ra recovery.. and do things from there.. the problem is that when I reboot..it sometimes shows up the G1 and sometimes it stays black..
I tried reverting back to the original ROM by putting the dream on there at that point i noticed that when hold camera and power nothing happens..im' still able to reboot and go into Amon Ra recovery though..
Just an update.. i noticed that my phone only boots up properly if I slide out the keyboard before I press the power button to turn on the phone.. same thing applies when getting out of standby mode while the phone is on...
Hello guys, my G1 has flashed danger SPL and radio 3.22...for a long time, but today I want flash back radio back to 2.22..., but, after that, my G1 get a stuck on the first screen, it seems to bricked, I have tried every composition of keys, such as back+power and photo+power and home+power, but none of them can lead me to the 3-color screen, can anyone help me? Thanks a lot!!
Can you boot into recovery (home+power)?
....and you should not see a tri color screen. instead, you will see 3 android on skate boards (for engg. and danger spl).
G1 when power on comes only G1 screen, when soft reset and hard reset is the same . when update it says on screen: "E: Cant open / cache/recovery/ command" and aborting upgrade in 50%

well im assuming the phone has been properly set as far as radio/spl -- i would say you need to reflash your recovery. Erase your current recovery with fastboot and then fastboot the brand new recovery into it and try again. If the phone cant boot into the rom it will try to boot into the recovery and if it cant, it does that. I think. theres a pretty nice G1 wiki here and theres also cyanogenmod wiki... cant go wrong there.
