Ok im on Damage control v1.0 as it seems like its the only ROM that cricket right now accepts for sending/receiving MMS. BUT my problem is now when i attach or do a MMS it makes the file down to about 20kb losing all its quality. sent it to my email and it wasnt even worth saving.
Is there a fix to stop this automatically or a workaround? i tried to search but i got alot of stuff for th G1..sorry if i didnt see anything else.
Appreciate the help!

I know this probably has been posted before and i've searched but cant seem to find it. I am using the 5.99 Tzone plan and I can do everything else but Send/Receive MMS. I was wondering if there was a cab out there I could download. THanks for the help everyone :
What Rom are you using? The data plan shouldn't have anything to do with mms... if you've installed a new rom on your phone, and haven't set up the MmS settings... it won't just work. you need to set them up manually or run the network wizard.

Can you link to that thread? I have never been able to send or receive MMS messages. Well..at least receive..I don't ever send them. But I've done network settings, confirmed everything is right. Now that I did network settings it TRIES to get them, but I get a message saying "In order to send/download MM Messages, the current active connection may be closed (this may affect other applications in use). Do you want to continue?" It then gives you yes or no for options...when I say yes it doesn't do anything...same message comes again. When I say no the MMS notification goes away yet there's nothing in the inbox.
Can you direct me to what figured out your problem?
I'm using itje's touch-it rom, fyi. One he came out with a few months back...not sure which version it would have been. I think the first one he came out with for the wing.
I am running AthineOS ME, not sure if this happens on all ROMs or just this.. after I sync, if I get an MMS I have to reboot before being able to send or receive one. Any fix?
It might be an issue with the phone still having aspects of Activesync running in the background, so when it goes to make the MMS connection it is corrupted.
I notice in you signature you are having an SMS/landscape issue... are you talking about in the touchflo2d tab when the phone is in landscape mode it doesn't display your SMS? If so, it is not supported by touchflo2d, and likely never will.
I have a Sprint HTC Hero and I can't check email when at home on my wifi.
I turn wifi off and then I can check email.
When on wifi I can surf the web and it shows I an connected.
Please help
Thanks
Sounds like the same bug as MMS with Wifi turned on. No known fix that I can find from a search. Is it that big of a deal? Emails are small. I never use the Wifi on mine.
Just a thought, if you need it you need it.
well
Now that you mention it I have noticed the MMS problem as well. Is it a big deal, no but still wish I would not have to deal with it. But if there is no fix at this time I can stop trying to make it work.
Thanks
I want a Nexus One
Ok this is really pissin me off... the Internet on my phone just all a sudden stopped working. It won't load anything. I've messed around with the apns to get my mms working, i get mms fine but still can not receive them... can anyone help me on that? So back to the point on why I'm here, i use my phones hotspot to play my xbox online sometimes just to show off lol.. yesterday I played on it fine, and after I had played, I messed round with the apns.. today when I tried to play online, it wouldn't connect. I was like wtf... it kept saying that my Internet has failed even tho my 3g is boomin... so after a lot of yelling and pulling the battery out and turning off and on the xbox, i decided to check the Internet on my phone.... well I happened to find that its not working either... I don't know what I did to see screw this up, but I'm ticked.
Can anyone help me on this issue? Or ima call tmo in the morning and see what the problem is
Thanks guys!

"yesterday I played on it fine, and after I had played, I messed round with the apns.. "
Define messed around with the apns (when everything was working properly)? I assume you changed some settings with your apns and messed something up.
What ROM are you using? Stock? Custom?
Yea I changed the settings around... and its stock froyo frf91
Well. Nothing else to do than checking if your APN settings are correct then.
Find your carrier here:
http://code.google.com/p/cyanogenmod/wiki/APNlist
And see if something is needs corrected.
I had this problem once. I was at the gym using Pandora, and all of a sudden it stopped. The 3G icon was only showing the arrow pointing to the device lit up, not the one going away. (which is outboud I think?).
Anyway, I turned on airplane mode, and turned it off, and it fixed the service problem.
Haven't had it since. I think it may have been a problem with a kernel I was using.
Ok great, ill try both options... thanks guys Thanks a lot
Having the same issue, web pages won't load . Apn settings are fine, just can't load a web page. Using kang o rama, oc. Flashed another rom seemed like same issue, emother rom. Tried reboot, airplane mode, etc and no luck. Is it the radio ? Or kernel? Download dolphin browser ?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
fixed.....
have alittle searching, it was the apn settings for me. Not sure why this is though, I had it set up like this before and it worked perfectly fine.
Name cbw internet
apn... wap.gocbw.com
proxy...216.68.79.202
port 80
these were my orginal settings when I first started with the n1, these worked fine, no issues what so ever till update to froyo 91 or so. Anyways I went back into my apn settings and took out the proxy & port numbers, this seems to have fixed my issue with being able to use the browser on the n1, note with the settings listed above I was still able to tether and have facebook, gmail, hotmail, and everything else sync, just no browser option on the n1. Hope this helps...
I feel like this is probably an easy fix, but I cant seem to figure it out. My phone wont recieve MMS UNTIL I make/receive a phone call then i get all my MMS messages at once. Im on LTE/CDMA with data off and wifi on when this occurs (not sure if this occurs with wifi off yet) . Only once did i recieve an MMS without a phone call and that was at a random time 4 hours after the MMS was sent from my friend (no settings or data connectivity were changed within this time)
Try using an alternate messaging app
Manually set MMS APN
Try clearing cache in recovery
Flash a system image without ad blocking (if you are on one of those)
Make sure you haven't grenified or otherwise disabled anything having to do with phone, text, email, etc.
That's all I can think of without knowing more.

thanks, I tried setting an apn, clearing cache, and nothing greenified. I know it works with adblocking because it has in the past, and I am partial to textra (which has a bunch of MMS debugging options anyway that i tried too) . Anyways, It probably has to do with me messing with radio and IMS settings. I manually set them back to their original values but Im thinking things just got tangled up by switching back and forth cause it still didnt work. Reflashing entire build ended up being the solution

Nice - I guess my suggestions didnt make too much sense given the issue, but just figured I would throw some things out there. Glad you got it fixed
