Ever since I flash from RC2 to RC3, I can't seem to get the screen lock sound to work. It use to work when I'm in RC2. Anyone knows how can I get the sound to work?
I tried rebooting a few times but no luck so far..
Any suggestion?
Are the lock.ogg and unlock.ogg media files in /system/media/audio/ui on your phone? You can use a file manager like ES Explorer (free) to look.
Sorry for the late reply. But yes, both of the file is in there. But still, the lock sound wont appear. Tried nandroidbackup and then flash to rc3 again. Still no luck..

Please help me....thank you
I have the same problem and im using the same device hTC Pure from at&t ...
TOPA200···isound work great!!
I also have topa 210 (Pure). I have found a way to ge a ringtone, but you would have to do the procedure after reboot. Also i have not found a way to get notifications or alarms yet. Hope I don't have to
1. boot into Andoroid
2. Open media scanner (You should be able to play music from your sdcard now!)
3. Using Astro file manager, navigate to sdcard/media/audio/ringtones
4. Select a ringtone you want to use (you can play it first).
5. Hold the File down until menu comes up
6. Select music options
7. Select set as ringtone
8. Enjoy!
If you look to see if your ringtones are selectable, they wil NOT be there. It will still say Silent, but the ringtone will still work. Try it out.
This is for Astro, but it may work with other programs
I'm not sure if this has been answered or not. I searched through the forums but didn't find anything about it. Can you change the boot screen on this version of the rom?
You just need to replace the "bootanimation.zip" package in /system/media
hmmm, i tried to do it with a root explorer. I may not of done it right, ill try it again
I used super manger, I realized at first that it wasnt using root permison. fixed that, coppied it there, reboot, and still didnt see the custom animation. any thing else im missing?
well i retried it, and copied to some /local directory and vala it worked! thanks guys
Hello everyone!
I don't have access to a PC and won't have it in a while, so I was wondering if someone could be so kind and make a CWM flashable .zip of the tw Music Player since the latest Assonance ROM didn't come with it. Preferably one that works with froyo. Thanks in advance!!!!!

You don't need access to a pc. Download a rom that has it. Use a file manager to extract the rom to your sd card and move it to system/app.
This is my Captivate. There are many like it but this one is mine.

Thanks for this. I forgot to mention that I had tried it numerous times with no success and although the one you just posted does appear in my app drawer, it force closes as soon as I open it. I really don't wanna change my rom but I will have to if I can't get this player to work. Is there any permissions that I would have to modify? Thanks again.
I don't if it's permissions or if it requires something else? I guess you could always change the permission on it to 777 and see if that works. If not I don't really know.
I actually found a flashable .zip in the fascinate forum and it works except it force closes when you switch to disc mode and when u use the controls from the notification bar.
Hi there,
last night I unlocked my bootloader and installed the ROM given at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2174731&page=350&nocache=1
So far, so good.
Only thing I just found is: Device is playing no sound anymore whatsoever, no video sound, no mp3 sound, no system sounds....
Wanted to post in the above, but my priviliges don'T allow that
Anybody got a hint on how to proceed?
Thx in advance!
Make sure you delete /data/alsa folder and reboot. Use Root Explorer

Go to root/system/media/audio/ui. Files should be called PowerOn.ogg and PowerOff.ogg.
cause of what rom im using it doesnt come with those files try adding them in and i dont get no sound.
edit power on just worked worked maybe cause i didnt have the right permissions?
edit 2 power off still doesnt work

You can tap the PowerOff file and play it with your music player to see if it has any sound or not. If it don't you can copy the PowerOn file to sd card and rename it to PowerOff as the file is the same or it could be one of the Rom settings stopping it from playing. Rom I'm using has settings to stop boot sound.
yeah it has sound my rom doesnt have sound settings just boot animation changes that are built in
Killerkat/dynamickat rom
