nothings impossible, but it might be hard since its only on 1.6

Bump! my wife picked up the X10 she hates it but i like this app. Thanks

let me find a system dump of the x10 and I'll take a look at it over the weekend... I can't make any promises, but I can try..... See my LG Optimus launcher below for some of my previous work.

Sent from my Captivate.

European phones did, but I dont recall At&t pushing one out

I've got a zip with the data/system/cache img files for 2.1 that I'm looking into....

Very nice!

At its current state, it won't be possible. Because both TimeScape and MediaScape use a heavily modified version of android, not available to general public.
However, all hope is not lost since SE hinted that they intend to decouple the TimeScape and MediaScape and make standalone apps going forth. The reason for this is the unreasonably long time it takes them to port these applications and underlying modification, every time the new version of android comes out.

Thus why I mentioned no promises, but if I don't try I can't say that I tried at all.

Thanks for your efforts.

anyone want froyo?

I thought that this should get its own thread. In light of recent events, i am now trying to try to port froyo to the dinc. If anyone is interested...well notify me
YES! Most Def.
I already have one person on my waiting list, so i take it that u want to be on my list, too?
Can you add sense to it...? Of course with the option to run it when you want

I agree 100%, nothing against the N1, but I would have gotten one if I liked the UI--I had enough of it on the G1, I'm glad to have a very fast sense and would like to keep it with 2.2!
I for one dislike sense. I prefer the stock vanilla ui, but if i can port sense to froyo than i wont hesitate in doing so
si senior.
vanillia Froyo all the way!!
Of course, sense with an official release of Froyo
I think this is a no brainer, most if not all want froyo
I like sense, but I would take it either way
A de-sensed froyo would be great. Even a de-sensed 2.1 would be nice. I really like the vanilla android
i'm definitely interested in some froyo action on my inc
If not full Froyo, at least its version of the gmail app to replace the stock one on the INC...
Vanilla android is awesome. I miss it after coming from the droid.
I've been waiting for froyo since the day I got this phone! So yes, count me in for wanting it!

I agree, which is why I don't completely understand why it needs it's own thread and why it's in the development section instead of general (since you are pretty much taking a poll).
If you are really going for a 2.2 port, I suggest getting together/talking to already well-known porters/Incredible coders if you aren't already, as a similar task may already be going on and the more the merrier (also faster =p).

+1 It's almost like asking if we want root... I doubt too many are hoping to install 2.0 or 1.6 on the phone.
Froyo allows rotation of the main android screens right? I hate that when my Inc is in my car dock(landscape) the main screens never rotate!
So yes, once I can get rooted, I would love Froyo for my Incredible. (I like sense too!)
TY
Hey rr12106 I would love to have froyo when its ready. Thanks for the effort.

[Q] Android 2.3.3 from scratch

I followed this guide to try to compile android 2.3.3 for SGS i9000 http://android.modaco.com/content/zte-blade-roms-rom-customisation/331160/how-to-compile-android-in-a-debian-32bit-environment/
but i don't think it is for it.
I searched the web, but no luck.
can anyone help me ?
I'm trying to get a good ROM, something clean and not a stock ROM...
Use cyanogen. That's sounds like what your looking for. And in the future remember to post this stuff in q/a

Everybody wants this. Cm7 pretty much sucks on the sgs, its never updated and you battery wont last half a days. So if you really want a aosp experience buy another phone. I for one have given up hope that its ever going to happen on this phone (after almost a year, rediclous).

It will get fixed as soon as the SGS gingerbread source code is released. Also any other AOSP ports will need to use the CM7 kernel source as does MIUI and the source port that was opened here on XDA today, as it is kind of a port of the kernel for the nexus S that is designed to run on the other SGS variants.

Before writing an derogatory post, do a bit of research.
CM7 on Galaxy S runs wonderfully and a significant number of Galaxy S users are using this as their daily driver. The remaining bugs are small. Battery life is only slightly worse, and in my usage patterns, makes no difference really. New builds are released every couple of days...check the changelog/release history.
Giving up hope on something that's nearly perfect? How depressing.
http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/...d-7-for-samsung-galaxy-s-phones-experimental/
To the OP: someone is already trying to do a "clean AOSP" based of the work that the CM7 is doing. Why you were using ZTE Blade instructions is beyond me. A brief search would have turned up this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1030059
And try to post in the right section please It helps everyone.
Thanks guys,
I'll try the CM7...
If not, I'll try the PMDroid.
SGS is confusing, there is XXJVK and UGKC! or JPJPM
with the MyTouch if the rom is 32A then it will work...
I have GT-I9000. with GB 2.3.3. XXJVK stock Rom.
I have lost the Phone, Contacts, Message icons on Bottom Bar of idle screen, it remained only Applications icon.
How can I bring back those..
I had this once with froyo:
go to settings -> applications - all apllications > tw launcher (or startpage or homescreen) and delete all data. But be aware, at least in froyo you loose all homescreens as well.

Cyanogenmod with Stock-Phone?

Hi,
is it possible to port the Orginal Galaxy-S Phone (with left-slide to call, right-slide to message on contact and other nice things) to the cyanogenmod. I love the mod, but the phone from CM isn´t cool

I don't know if any app from the market have exactly that function, but you can try some of em out. Like GoContacts and so on.

To find a similar app on the market is your only option.
Samsung Apps are dependent on Samsung's framework, which obviously is only on Samsung ROMs. CM7 is built upon Nexus S source code, so Samsung apps are incompatible.
I dont think a app from market will have all these features like the orginal. I want to know what to do for porting this to CM. Like what .apks i have to put from stockrom to CM. I know thats Samsung-made, but i belive in XDA-Devs and hope to find a way =))
It'd still require Samsung firmware which the devs won't port cause CM7 is an AOSP rom. There are alot of alternatives so you're better off on the market (or sticking with stock)

This is correct. Realistically, it's not going to happen—ever. You could always use a Samsung-based custom ROM though.

[I9000][I9001][Q] Possible to port stock Rom?

Hello together !
I've been wondering while if it is to possible to port Samsung (or other) Stock Roms to the I9000/1, (of course just so far as the hardware allows...) I didn't found anything about it, so it would be amazing, if someone would try to port e.g. the S4 stock rom to our s/s+
or provide a Guide on it
THANKS IN ADVANCE
Yes and no.
It is in some ways possible but the coding etc is a hell of a job and i doubt that any developer will do this on its own.. Or in a team..
Also this question has been asked seval times Next time use search better
i agree to mrjraider...
there are some custom roms which includes the look from s3 or xperia...
scour the development forum
greets
There was one released today called Xperian UI which looks really similar to the stock Sony Xperia UI. Comes not only with Albums/Movies/Walkman but aso other apps like the clock, the calendar, Timescape etc etc. Its pretty damn close.
Porting a stock Samsung rom, we can only go so far. I've seen some developers find it absoute hell to port.

[WIP] Official jellybean - PICTURES

I just saw this post at http://galaxy-mini-2.blogspot.ro/2013/05/galaxy-mini-2-corriendo-jelly-bean.html
...with this pictures....and OMG IT LOOKS REAL!
LOOK at the ,,grey,, samsung statusbar, and software update icon at notifications !
Also camera icon looks real instead all other icons found in cm themes!
You can also see that statusbar clock is hidden on lockscreen like the official rom!
Also, swipe in contacts to send sms or call is an original samsung feature, absent in cm!
Rom is looking same as galaxy young official rom. Look at memo icon!
This thread is not spam...is based an question>
I need help to figuire out what is that! ..because samsung said that this phone will not get any update from gb.
This is old, confirmed fake, but a very good one.
Someone simple spend waaaaaay too much time hacking an existing CM (10 I believe) to make it look like TouchWiz official.
There will never be official JB for our phone.
Plus, Galaxy Young lags with official JB as TheWhisp confirmed numerous times.
So best thing for our phone is CM 7.2.0.
The one we have currently is done wrong with existing kernel, instead of a new one.
