Hey,
I have just ordered nexus one on ebay. I know nexus one has a g sensor. I was curious to know if nexus one has the same function like other HTC devices (legend, desire, etc.) of lowering the ring tone when phone is lifted and muting it on keeping it upside down when it receives a call?

You can do this in Tasker. I have a context that if on a call and I flip the phone onto its face, the speakerphone activates. I imagine it could be done to lower the ring volume and possibly mute it.
hey, thanks for reply.
Is tasker in build in app in nexus one or i have to get from market?
CM has that function built-in Not sure about other roms

I've enable the screen lock sound but it doesn't make one, even on full volume??
Anyone else had this?
Very strange, but I noticed the smae on my M7. Curious if there is any way to solve this.
Mine makes a noise, more like a crack, and I can only hear it if I hold the phone very close to my ear.

Is it on silent/vibrate mode?
It's there, it's just VERY VERY quiet for some reason. I turned it onast night and noticed the same thing. If you put your ear up to the bottom speaker while unlocking and locking you will just barely hear it. Kinda pointless if you ask me lol.

Hi,
How do you find the vibration motor noise when pressing soft keys etc.?
I'm coming from a Nexus 5 and it seems a bit loud and rattly on the new Moto X. I can't work out if it's normal or not.
I tried to make a recording but it seems near impossible to get a good one that's reflective of what I actually hear.
Thanks

Mine sounds like its trying to buzzsaw its way out of the bamboo lol. I was going to check some in store units to see if its similar. How's everyone else's?
mine is waaaay too strong i kinda love it but it startles me frequently, is there a way to dial it back some?
The vibration when I press my keys is fine, but the vibration when I get a call or text is loud as hell...
I just picked up a couple brand new Nexus 6 on a sweet deal (not the 6P, just the 6). My wife and I both use one now. We both noticed that when the earpiece volume is set to the lowest, someone near us can still hear the conversation. So, if my wife is talking to someone on her phone via the earpiece, I can hear that person talking when I am probably 3-5 feet away. Not at a speaker phone level, but clear enough to hear the entire conversation. Me, coming from a Nexus 5 and my wife coming from a Moto X, we didn't have this problem before.
Is there any way we can adjust it to not allow for this to happen anymore? What can one do when the lowest volume setting is still just a little too loud? We'd just like a little more privacy when using the phone during a call.
Thanks!

Try the app 'Volume Control plus' from FirestormApps

Thanks, I'll look into that, but was really hoping there was something that can be done without needing a 3rd party. I know older phones/OS would have some sort of enhanced privacy setting, which I can no longer find. I don't even know if that setting is what I think it is, but it just seems like there has to be some other way? Even the phone's lowest volume for ringtone is much louder than then Nexus 5's. I realize they are different phones with different manufacturers/hardware, but I guess I figured volume levels were the same or at least close.
Hello, I've just got this phone, and I'm wondering if I got a dud. Can anyone check if they can clearly hear the vibration motor? For example when long-pressing on the home screen. On my device it is very strong and quite loud in a quiet enviroment. On my previous Xperia device, the X, it was strong, but really silent and smooth.
No one can answer this question? It is a simple test: long press on the home screen. Does it make a buzz sound?

Long press home screen I reserved for assistant apps like Google assistant.
You can choose them.
I deactivated it somehow.
Maybe because I removed the Google assistant app and use a different app.
The vibration motor on this phone is supposed to be stronger then others. I don't find mine to be disturbing though. My wife has the Xperia X and that is actually louder than mine.

My previously Nexus 6 was loud as hell.
In my opinion the xz2 vibration now only half as strong.
I have a Pixel 4 XL, very ackward problem... I have face id enabled but if I receive a call and I look at the phone, the ringer volume becomes very quiet!!! If I don't look at the phone at all, it stays constant at the set level! Any clues??? On some Apple devices, you have the options to remove that behavior, thought it would be similar on the 4 XL... Clues?

Maybe you have "silence interruptions" on under motion sense in settings. It will snooze alarms and silence calls when your motion is detected, usually by your hand... but FR could (may?) also trigger. It's in the same as "reach to check phone".
Personally I like that because I don't need the phone blowing up full volume if I'm already looking at it.

That was exactly it about the motion sense interruptions, thanks!
