ive didnt install dolphin browser but i try with skyfire
still give same massage . . .
It sounds like your telco has disabled port 80 which is usualy used for web browsing. First thing i would do is find a known working web sim card and try it with your phone. If phone doesn't work with it then we narrowed down problem. If it works then put your sim card in other phone and see if web works. If not working call your telco and activate web. They prob charge extra or sonething

that is so extremely weird
LOL usually it's the oposite, you can not do anything but just browse the web
yet this telco only blocks port 80....
Opera Mini works because it filters your data via opera servers first
that's how they optimise your images and data speed to load faster on the phone, so some how that is bypassing the port 80 block
skyfire have a similar feature if you use the default skyfire home page, you can login to a skyfire account, then everything is channeled via skyfire servers instead of direct.
Ive tried everything other than hard reset or factory reset
Dolphin browser didnt work it says check data connection
skyfire say the same
even last few days i cant download from market , i can browse the market but cannot down load always it says download unsuccessful . . . .
Cant sort out this . . please help
Did you update to obr of the froyo betas as it seems to break phones especially iemi settings

nope i didnt update my firmware . . its has original firmaware
Talk to your telco then. Can't think of anything else

i can load up both theses websites and sign in, but i cant view the messaging part of either. Do they run on java script or what? anybody able to do this?
AOL is working fine for me, using Internet Explorer. What browser are you using?
Try going to: http://wap.aol.com for the mobile version.
im using internet explorer but im using the regular aol.com version. can i do the same for youtube? like wap.youtube.com?
it's m.youtube.com for the mobile version. playing videos will be your next problem. Search this site for you tube. There's nothing I care to see on my phone, so I haven't tried it.
Guys, I have a bit of a strange problem.. i am using JF1.5 but my browser is not working... by that i mean it opens without a problem and shows the homepage ( www.google.com ) in a second but when i open anyother address it just says " web page not available- check your internet connection " but the strange thing is that when i open a link there is no network activity as if the browser aint even trying to connect to the network ....
Now i have installed opera mini and thats working just fine .... i.e opens every page quickly .... but opera is very hard and i dont like it at all .... and i want to use the built in browser...
Any Idea whats the problem ?
Thanks
the google home page you see is probably a cached version, it didn't actually download that page from the internet.
from your description, it seems to be a network state problem. the android system has its own way for detecting internet connections, it may report you're offline even if you're not. but the only two apps I know that uses this is browser and downloader. you have to check if your apn settings are complete. make sure you have the "proxy" field set.
I tried to mess with the apn settings but to no use .... Its really freaky ... every other browser works just fine .... and so does the market and google talk but the built in browser behaves as if there is no data connection .... is there a way i can uninstall it and reinstall it from somewhere somehow ?
Regards
I'm having the same exact problem. I upgraded my G1 and it worked fine but when I upgraded my girlfriends G1, the default browser doesn't work.
I will open up the browser and the page will show and then it just closes out and goes back to the desktop. I've tried to flash it again and there is no change.
Ok.
So I went into the application manager and cleared out everything and it still doesn't work.
Not sure what could be causing this because my phone flashed fine.
Hi guys,
Hope someone can assist. I have a stock Tab, and entered all the suggested APN settings. I now have 3G (Can text, call, recieve calls etc...), and I can use internet apps, such as Facebook, Market etc. However, using the stock internet browser ... nothing. Web page cannot be displayed. I can't browse. When I get into Wifi connectivity, then it all works fine...
So, under 3G, I have internet, but can't browse.
I have upgraded to Gingerbread, and still have the same issues. Any ideas what can just block browsing, but allow everything else? The only common things I guess, is my APN settings... the device it's self ... and my network.
I'm in Australia, using TPG as my provider..
try grabbing another browser in the market like opera mini which is amazing. If that solves the problem then its something to do with the installation of the UI or Android on your device. Either restore to factory settings. If neither work you may have a port issue on your APN settings as different internet services work differently. So triple check with your carrier.
But if Opera or another browser works then I would suggest restore factory settings and if they don't work with stock browser then call Sammy and they will do a full reset on the device and or replace it. They are not that bad at doing this.
Hope this helps.
dolphin hd is better browser... just my suggestion.
Love with opera that it has link and my home screens and bookmarks all sync to my phone and tab.
That for me is reason enough .. But Di like dolphin too >:~)

Miren and opera are definitely the best, doplin just seems to bloated and fat for my liking
No one uses Firefox??
Tried ff some nice features but bloated to hell and buggy
Maybe whenbits bit more stable will give it a run

I recently installed MIUI v 1.9.30, and despite my previous experiences with MIUI I really like this one, despite one thing.
I've found that while on 3G (Bell Mobility Canada), I can download from the Market and browse Facebook, but I cannot use the browser (Charming Browser). When attempting to load Google, for example, the loading bar will progress about 10% and then stop there.....
Funny thing is, when using Dolphin Browser the same thing occurs, and it gives a webpage cannot be displayed error. I've tried looking in both browser settings but I can't figure it out, because they work fine on WIFI.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?
Clear cookies and other browsing history and then retry bud

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't help =/
I went as fat as trying a factory reset and the problem still occurred. I posted asking for help on the miui website but haven't gotten any response yet.

Hi,
I can't remember that it was like this on GB, but anyway now on ICS the browser always seems to remember previous sessions, I find this very annoying....
Browse Browse Browse, close browser....
Open browser, last opened page is shown, and press back and there are the previous pages again...
How can I make that the web browser forget everything from before and just starts with the homepage??
Tried to find options in the settings, but can't find it...

I know there is a manual way of clearing cache and history, but even that doesn't make the browser forget the previous session...

The simple solution is to install Dolphin HD Browser from Google Play and set it as the default browser. There are loads of cool plug-ins for Dolphin won Play too. Like the Evernote plug-in that lets you post directly from Dolphin.
