Super one click root
Hey all,
I just saw a youtube video on a root method called super one click.
Would that work for my nexus one 2.2.1 frg83d???
Please help.
I really want a easy root for my phone.
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA App
Yes it's really easy. I rooted my phone using that just 2 days ago. Only things you need to do is download the android sdk download the driver and the adb file. The unlockr.com has a tutorial on how to set up your driver. Then after that you connect your phone and download that super one click and use it. Good luck

thanks.
So you sure I could use it for frg83d?

The link I gave you in your other post suggested reading the wiki. The wiki will tell you what methods still work for FRG83D...
Yes, it will work...

Hey I just want to know what is the easyest way to root a nexus one frg83d.
I already have the unlocked padlock.
Please explain here and don't give some link. Thanks.

Good grief Charlie Brown - how many times do you need to ask the same question?
Since your bootloader is unlocked, just fastboot flashort a custom recovery, then use to install a custom ROM or rooted stock ROM...

Put some effort into searching.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=705460
Also, see the Wiki Sticky thread above yours...
Can't believe he'd come in here to say "explain here and don't give links".
What does he expect? Pretty much if he can't handle figuring it out from the wiki or guides out there, he shouldn't be rooting at all.

Hi there. Welcome to the Internet. Let me explain to you how a forum works.
1) People make posts to contribute to the overall knowledge bank of the forum.
2) The posts stick around - forever. No information is ever lost.
3) If someone has an issue that isn't previously covered by another post, they post a new post looking for clarification. That post (and the posts that answer the post) also stick around forever.
4) Before you (the user) make a new post, you are expected to look around to see if your question has been answered before. This keeps the forum from being cluttered with redundant posts, and makes the useful posts easier to find.
5) You will have to click links, read multiple posts, and do a little bit of thinking and processing on your own to use what you have learned.
Please, search. Even easier, just look at the stickied threads at the top of the board. They contain links to information that covers everything you need. No one here is going to hold your hand every step of the way, at least not until you put forth some effort of your own - like the two minutes of effort to look around the board and find the information you need. If you aren't willing to put forth that effort, and expect someone to hold your hand, you really do not have any business trying to hack your device. You'll just break it, and won't know how to fix it.

Not closed yet, if any more threads appear, I'll just close them and warn you.
Seriously, again?
Stop it.

It has been answered here at least 2 dozen times. Try the magical search button. No one wants to explain a process to someone too lazy to do their own leg work for the 32nd time.
Why not just go with an oxidized stock 2.3.3 rom. It can be found in the development section.

I'd recommend this one. It's been stripped of the useless stuff and just slightly tweaked. Did you want to remove root?

actually you did reply to my "stupid" thread, stupid ****,and thanks ddgarcia ill try that.
You *****ed and bumped your own thread because nobody responded.
You then *****ed that the replies after words did not spoon feed you the answer.
Simply put you're a ****ing idiot. Not only can't you search the forum or read the wiki. You're also so slow that even after you managed to flash a custom rom you could not figure out to flash a different (stock) rom. You're just flat out stupid.

Hawkysoft, if you don't like nob questions why don't you just ignore them and leave it to the moderators.
You just scare new user away when you run around playing police.
Do you have a count of how many times you been posting stupid remarks to questions you don't like?

You need to have your phone S-OFF to get ROOT. Cyangenmod is not ready for IncS yet, but they are working on it.
2.3 Gingerbread is ready via OTA.
The only way to get S-OFF is to get access to a XTC-Clips because there is no software solution yet.
You can read more about ROOT here.
When I asked why I meant you don't have to be like that just close your eyes take a breath and leave it to moderators.
Take it easy buddy!

I can understand if you posted this in the developer forum, but he posted in general. Yes he could've searched, but I don't understand why people think it is a terrible crime to post a thread like this. How does this lower your quality of life in any way.
Here's a guide about the PROPER thing to do when you see a post like this.
Step 1: Move your eyeballs 5 millimeters in a downwards direction to the next post.
Step 2: ???
Step 3: Profit.
Hawkysoft, this is a general forum for help, get off peoples backs, your comments are far more annoying than any noob questions, regardless of how many times they may have been asked before, take a break man.
I did search around but kept running into ota gingerbread which I can't get cause on a different network, and already knew about no cyangenmod, that's y I bought this app and asked for helped. Sorry to offend u

Thanks for some info, didn't mean to inconvenience anyone. Just was searching around and all I kept running into was ota on the network u bought it from. I didn't see anything mentioning s-off though but I well search around for more info. Thanks again for at least giving me a direction

We will still get the ota when it's here. Has nothing to do with what network we are using.

I've been searching around but haven't been able to find any very helpful guides.
And seeing the lack of interest from most dev except the few great ones we have is making my interest peak in finally learning.
So does anyone have any suggestions?

What are you trying to do? If it is root phone, etc. look under development at the superguide. Otherwise for development look online at books and read the reviews to see which ones are better.

We have a great general knowledge guide in the general section. As well as the superguide, index, and all in one tool. Not sure what else you're looking for...
Whoops sorry about missing some info in my post. Wrote that right before falling asleep. I'm looking for tutorials and guides to building custom roms and such. I've been doing the basics of rooting and flashing for the last few years and now want to try going a bit more in-depth.

Thanks for the tip. I'm looking more into trying to compile my own kernel atm. I know its a lot harder to start but we all need to learn somewheres .
I'm playing around with trying to build a asop kernel. Haven't really found a 'definitive' guide to start with unfortunately. Cooking a Rom seems to be the most popular options at the moment

I think you should start from typing HTC one in forum "find device" box above. And read stocky threads and guides to learn how to root. There are enough info when you search benifits of root. Which covers the question..
