Hi guys!
Im currently trying to port the swype languages from XXJP2 (because it has Danish swype) to XXJPC - Both FROYO releases.
Although my attempts has failed so far, my phone is rooted, and I've deleted the Swype.apk file from /system/app/ and also the swype file from /system/lib
and replaced them.
Anyone have some ideas on how to achieve this?
yes there is.. I tryed to find my latest post before this.. That thread explained the methon and the files from jm2.
But..
You copy the files to /sdcard/ or another folder on the sd card with adb push.
After that you type
adb shell
$su
#cp /directoryonsd/ /system/app/
for both files..
the ones i put on was named Swype.apk and libSwypeCore.os
But - does the Swype from JM2 (ECLAIR) work on FROYO?

doh.. Dansk.. hehe.. Men ja.. det virker perfekt med dansk swype fra jm2. Det var faktisk også en dansker der lavede den tråd hvor forklaringen er.. Kan man ikke finde sine gamle posts i dette forum ?

With the files replaced, all you should need to do is delete the folder /data/data/com.swype.android.inputmethod and it should work. It may or may not require a reboot after deleting. (The folder may be placed on a different location in Froyo, if so, you need to find it )

I've spend the last 2 days with learning how to cook ROMs after making my Device nearly unusable by flashing the canadian ROM.
My ROM currently has:
German Language
SnapVUE-Todayscreen disabled by default
Start- & Softbuttons visible
USBTool, RegistryEditor, SoftReset programs
CAB-RegHack applied so you can install any cab-file
Please note before you start flashing your Shift:
1. You need to do a HardSPL, like described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=406606, once before flashing my ROM (if you were able to install the canadian ROM, you already did a HardSPL)
2. I am no active developer, just playing around and found something you might like too. I've got a fulltime job already so there won't be a lot of time for support and questions etc.
3. Send some thanks to the Shift Project and all the other developers here. Without their knowledge and tools noone would ever have got that far.
4. Please comment and suggest!

Thanks, Wounderfull. Can you please give a description for the hardSPL and for the installation of the ROM in German? Thats would be great. My English is not so good and when I will make some mistakes my Shift is broken. But I love my Shift.

Euer shift muss zuerst einem "hardSPL" unterzogen werden, die Prozedur ist recht einfach und detailliert (auf englisch) hier beschrieben:

5. verschiebt dieses in den Ordner, in welchen ihr die flashtools entpackt habt

8. fertig!
9. huldigt "tece" und den developers

i would do a french rom by myself, so if you can send me some tips like how to break the os.nb file
if a sucess to mount a french rom from the dutsh one i ll do a english one as well.
i'm sorry...just got plenty of time the next days.. just search here for "ROM reconstruction Kaiser"
You can use KaiserKitchen for most of the processes. To split/break the OS.nb you should follow pofs process described here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382609 (take care to use the values from "pdocread.exe -l", not those posted by his example!).
One more help to save you some time:
Part00.raw and Part01.raw are XIP (the base system)
Part02.raw is the imgFS (the Part you mostly wanna change, all lang-specific is in here)
Part03.raw is userdata which will get erased anyway when you flash a new ROM

Once you get the rom extracted, how did you disable snapvue? By adding a registry edit? I counldn't find any snapvue service from the extracted rgu
you can find the "base-registry" in XIP(Part00.raw) as boot.rgu. i think there had been the SnapVue-keys. everything else i did like described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=377441

Thank you for your ROM. But one concern: I can not install one cab file since I use your Rom. What and where can I find the CAb -RegHack so I can install any cab-file?
For me it is now the inverse situation.
But anyways, again, thanks a bunch, good job.
Just copy your .cab file into your Main Directory (Mein Gerät) from there you can run it.

I know its not the same as having them on main page.

still very slow, but im experimenting with different drivers, but with the new touchflow landscape, its very responsive!
so i will make this rom with touchflow as standard today, and a cab or reg or something to enable/disable the new startmenu, cause thats slow to with original drivers, but i am getting a good mix of drivers ready. i will still work a little bit moore before releasing, but i might trow out a beta, who knows!

Im currently using Cloudy's 1.0 ROM, and i'm trying to unlock the Danish Dictonary, using the Dysje Input Languages xT9 Diamond2, but it just won't work =/.. It works on the other ROM's i've tried, just not this one.. =/..
the problem is, that i am able to unlock danish, but as soon as i try to write anything with the phone pad, it writes nothing :S.. but when i change it back to english, it is..If anyone knoe how to solve this problem, please let me know :O

Hey there! I'm a big newbie who sucks at english, but I want to change theme on my Diamond. Im using the latest energy rom, and if I am correct I cant use the TF3d config program anymore, because it isn't compatible with the latest rom release. And therefore I have this question:
How do I change theme on my diamond?!
Is there another way or am I screwed??
So no one knows?

I downloaded a theme which was .thm so I needed Diamond TF3D Config for that, I created a folder in Internal Memory called Themes, put the file in there and chose the theme from inside the tf3d config.
