Does anybody knows how to change the default color of the different calendars. These colors are used to differ the entries from different calendars such as goolge, exchage, weeknummbers.
I found that in 2.2 exchange entries are getting a color which is hardly readable (bad contrast). For 2.1 it was o.k to me.
I know that for "Cal widget" the default values can be changed but for "calendar pad pro" as well a the stadard calendar application the color can not be selected in setting.
Tank you !
would like to know how to do this as well. anybody?
In the meantime I have switched to Sense ROM where color is much better. No solution found for stock 2.2 ROM :'(
Hi, is it possible to flash buil.prop through CWM ? The idea is I would like to play with the DPI, but I know some values can mess up the system so that the ROM doesn't boot anymore. So the idea is to have a safe and working build.prop as flashable through VWM so that I can experiment without the threat of having to reinstall the whole ROM.
Is that doable ? and would it be sufficient to boot again on a ROM if I put a bad value as DPI ?
Thanks
I may be wrong, but afair one of the DPI apps available on Market, had an option whether to reapply the change on boot
if I'm correct, then you could test the density without risk

I didn't find the app (searched for "DPI" and "density") but one of the app had a description saying you can restore build.pro through adb...so i'll look in that direction.
LCD density will allow you to test a dpi before applying it. Its on play store.

Well, it almost works. I'm on (TW based) Criskelo's v8, changed the DPI to 213, first with LCD density and then with ROM toolbox. I thought it would just boot loop, but
- except for touchwiz, launchers (Go, zeam, adw, apex (small area usuable on desktop though, but maybe it's supposed to work that way)) are ok,
- the s-apps I want work ok : camera, FM radio (I tried S-memo just for the sake of it, it has that well known lines problem)
- s-calendar was replaced by AOSP calendar and it works fine..though I don't see any difference with phone version...maybe because it was not "correctly" installed ?
- gmail, settings, kindle, chrome work as expected in tablet mode. Kindle had to get an update to work in tablet mode, before that it showed the regular phone version.
Now what doesn't work :
- I got that "UI.syst stopped" on every boot (don't care much about it)
- s-contacts doesn't work ! unfortunately I couldn't find a working AOSP contacts.apk, maybe that would work
- s-phone works so that's more important than s-contacts, but the layout is messed up, and you can't use contacts inside the app of course. Unfortunately I don't know of a AOSP dialer for TW roms,
- most annoying negative point to me : status bar doesn't show ! that may be the deal breaker for me.
I went to TW roms because I was tired of little things that didn't work in AOSP based roms, so if I can't find solutions for at least s-contacts and status bar, that's it for me I won't go any further in my quest of TW + tablet mode apps.

For the dialler, can you set one handed operation in settings (possibly under accessibility) that usually brings it back under operational state. Not sure about a fix for tw contacts though. There are alternative contacts and dialler apps in play store if you search dialler.
Use an alternative launcher for status bar? Recommend adw or launcher7 if you like windows phone layout, both work well. Adw probably more suitable for tablet dpi.

Unfortunately I tried an alternative dialer from the market, it displayed contacts correctly but FC'd as soon as I clicked on a contact, so I think it relies somehow on the TW contact app or framework. As for the status bar, it's never displayed whatever launcher I tried (Go, adw, zeam, apex, launcher pro), so I guess it's part of the framework and not of the launcher.
Hi guys
I'm looking for the best 240 dpi rom available. I know i can change the dpi but in all roms i've tried it leads me to (for examble homescreen) smaller icons with bigger spaces in bitween them. The rom just doesn't support 240 dpi to the fullest.
Things it must have:
-no tw
-4.1
-no bloatware, extreme mods (that slow device down)
Things i would like:
-4.2
-vanilla android feeling
Thanx guys!
edit: changed requirements a bit
-best rom --> roms with good support 240 dpi support. I get that tere is no "best rom" but some are better than others.
-stock feeling should be vannilla android feeling
-fm radio dropped as it conflicts with no tw and bloatware

We try this with logic:
There is no best Rom, so there will be no 240 dpi best Rom.
No TW results in no FM Radio.
Stock feeling = Samsung apps = bloatware
No solution possible, buy another device
You're right, few changes
-with "best rom" i mean roms with good support. I get that tere is no "best rom" but some are better than others.

Hello everyone, I have recently upgraded my HTC one to the latest version of android and sense,
Today while i was trying to change my wallpaper, after I go to gallery to choose the photo, after pressing Set as, it gives me options, but the weird thing is that it gave me exactly two options for Wallpaper where one of them is set a square wallpaper which looks like ICS android and the other one the normal size of screen for cropping the picture, has anyone has the same issue or know what the difference is?

Actually, via: settings > display > wallpaper (think those are the names in english) there are also two options called "wallpaper", both with different wallpapers in it.
The way you describe (set as in gallery) I found it is probably because we now have two gallery apps (the standard one and the Google+ one)... but I'm not totally sure about that...

ty dude, but i think it is not the case, because it is looking for the wallpaper in the same folder in the gallery, the only difference is in the crop resolution of the picture and I tried both and couldn't find any differences.
Hey Guys,
I was wondering if anyone knows where to get Stock Touchwiz apps with Multi DPI enabled. I know that we could used apps that change the DPI of the ROM then use xposed with App Settings to revert the non-working apps (i.e. contacts, phone, camera etc). But they still have some glitches with contact pictures when you change the DPI of the system.
I know there are some ROMs that have multi DPI stock apps enable for the international Note 4 n910F/G but I can't figure out how to change ours.

those are two roms that have Multi DPI enabled and I've used Nameless for a little while but it seems slow down and lag after using it for a bit.
I also found this thread but he hasn't posted his guide on how to change the DPI.

Well after endless searching, I finally found what I was looking for. It took me a while but I have successfully made a Multi DPI secContacts apk.
Hi, would you be kind enough to share your apk? I have also been looking for a multidpi seccontacts. Thanks.
