Sorry if posted wrong section, went to post in the questions and answers section, but it states do not post questions???
I have installed Cyangen latest version on my N1, very happy, but when using phone for a little while, the screen goes all out of sync, for example, I touch middle of screen and it will activate something on the bottom such as menu. Very very annoying, especially when in the middle of playing a game. Also the google addon randomly stops working, quite frequently.
Any help appreciated

Hi there.
I am pretty new here & didn't read up on billboards yet, but I had something very strange happening to me yesterday. The phone automatically downloaded a 'Google Voice Search'-update and since it's installed, I keep encountering problems.
The most annoying one - the camera doesn't work anymore. If I click on the icon, the screen just turns black and remains like that until I either hit the HOME button - or if I wait long enough - I get an Force close-popup.
Furthermore, after calls, the screen also turn dark sometimes, but turn back on after a while. Other that that, everything works fine as before.
Am I the only one?
Does anyone know whether it's update-related or whether it's just a coincidence. Everything else works fine, so I doubt it's something else.
Is there a way to reinstall the camera app without having to flash the phone. As I said, I am a newy & don't want to end up with a brick.
The malfunction started only yesterday after the auto-update. I am on a Spanish GSM network, but I guess that's not of much relevance. The phone is running Gingerbread 2.3.4.
Tks for any suggestions.

I have no idea what's going on, but I tried accessing Google Play on my Note just now, only to find out that it has been uninstalled!? Before anyone asks...No, I did not install/uninstall anything from the last time I accessed Google Play (which was earlier today). All I know is that the app updated itself automatically the other day, and everything seemed fine. But now, it has somehow uninstalled itself automatically. WTF???
Am I nuts (could be a possibility ), or has this happened to anyone else too?? The weird part is that the 'Google Play' icon is still on my home screen, but when I press the application button in the bottom right corner, it's not there.
EDIT: I just rebooted my Note, and now the icon is gone in both places.
EDIT #2: This is flat out strange...the 'Play Books' app was still working, so I opened it up and pressed the icon to access Google Play. There was a long wait, but lo and behold, Google Play eventually opened up as mysteriously as it had disappeared! Very, very weird...
I don't know how in the world this happened (or why), but since the app has come back, I guess the problem pretty much solved itself. I'd delete this thread if I could, but since I can't I apologize for wasting everybody's time.
I noted something similar on another thread. I think the rollout was badly designed and poorly executed. Both my Note and my tablet had almost the same things as you describe, but in different ways on each, with no explanations.
Same here too. Just because the name is ****ty doesn't mean the rollout has to be too.

After I boot the diamond (GSM) the phone starts behaving in an erractic manner. The task drop down list in the upper right corner keeps getting triggered automatically without any input. Any applications which I open get automatically closed after a few minutes. It appears that the close button which appears in the right hand corner is being pressed automatically.
I thought that this was something to do with the ROM so I reflashed it with a new ROM. I was on Don Salari ROM earlier and now have Gen.Y R5.5 but still the issue reoccurs. Recently changed the battery to a high capacity compatible one, thought that it might be the issue but the behavior persists even when using the old battery. I've also recalibrated the screen but the issue persists.
I've uploaded a video of the odd behavior to youtube but can't the post the outside link in the forum yet. If required please PM me and I'll pass on the link.
Any one has experienced similar behavior? Any troubleshooting guidance and solutions are welcome.
anyone please???
Hey people of XDA!
I've got a weird problem with my Google Maps app. Every time I rotate the map and touch the compass button to restore it to north pointing up, it doesn't fully rotate, it takes multiple presses, and stops every 0.5s ish. The same thing happens with the My Location button.
Here is a video link:
Does anyone have any ideas? It never happened before I rooted and now it always happens despite what rom I use, I'm using ViperOne 3.5 at the moment. I've tried literally everything! Different firmware, Android 4.2.2/4.3, full wipe and flash of roms.
The actual compass and GPS work perfectly fine too.
Thanks in advance!
Update: I've been testing previous versions of Google maps and it's only been happening from v7 onwards. I've downgraded to v6.14.4 and everything is working perfectly as it should.
Guess I'll stick with this until there's a fix for this rare bug.
Must be someone having the same issue?
My bad I posted in wrong thread

Lol, anyway I found the issue...
I usually use the developer options to set the animations on 2x, I like animations
It turns out it was the animator duration scale. I set it back to 1x and maps is working perfectly just like before, running v7.5.0 right now.
Just thought I'd keep this updated incase anyone else ran into the same problem.
Hi all
I've got a couple of questions that i'd like some assistance on please.
I have an HTC one M7 running Android Revolution 83.1 (as i needed the call fix) and Elemental 18 (i think its 18) and sense 6 toolbox.
Since upgrading to 83.1 i'm having no luck getting push notifications come through, for example i'll be on the website and Google will tell me i have mail, the app never notifies me. I had 15 emails sat there this morning when i logged in but nothing according to the phone. This seems to be the case with any push notifications at all. Interestingly which may or may not be related, it seems to affect whatsapp too at least when the phone is plugged in and charging I've not managed to replicate this without it being plugged in yet.
The second query is a bit of an odd one. This being an M7 I've got the soft keys on the bottom of the phone screen. I've noticed on some apps there are "electronic" ones too. Is there a way to turn these off? Before upgrading to 83.1 i could change any setting in toolbox restart and they would be gone, the same trick now doesn't appear to work. Is this a ROM thing or something else? While not a big deal it takes up some space on screen and duplicates the buttons i already have which seems pointless. I've attached a screenshot for your viewing pleasure.
i ran a quick search and saw no appropriate topics for the push notifications and i wasn't entirely sure what to search for with regards to the appearance query so sorry if they've both been covered before.
thanks in advance for any helpful replies everyone
