I am currently running on Windows 7 and i had the WM6.1 on my Tilt and i just flashed it to Hyper Dragon III and now my WMDC wont connect, i checked on Device Management and it shows that the phone is connected but its got the little warning sign on it and i tried clicking on Update driver and it didn't work. I don't know that is wrong with this Please Help.
Two things to try
Hi
I have two suggestions you could try:
1) Try different USB ports on your computer. If you are using a USB Hub then definitely switch to a port that is directly connected to your motherboard.
2) Try running a Windows Update Manually when your phone is connected via a USB port.
I hope one of these solves your problem.

try going in settings-connections and changing the usb to pc settings.
you can also try updating WMDC
When you plugged your phone in, did you make sure to choose Active sync from the " "
" connection type " window, instead of Internet sharing?
You could connect alright before flashing HD III ?

Please help - I have tried everything I can before being advised to register here

Hi,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S on the O2 network in the UK.
Before registering here I have tried my best to sort this myself but I really do need some expert advice now. Please!!
I have tried and tried to update the KIES software but no matter what my PC will not connect to the phone it just says 'connecting' and hangs on that
I've tried on an XP machine and a Windows 7 machine and neither work
I'm currently on software 2.1 and would like to update to 2.2
Are there known problems with connecting the phone to a PC?
I've even tried connecting it so the PC would just view it as an external hard drive but again it doesn't connect and the PC does not recognise the phone.
I can't transfer any music or videos to the phone at the moment obviously and that's what I'm hoping to achieve with some kind help off here. I'd also like flash player which I believe is part of the 2.2 update?
Thanks in advance

Hi.
Firstly... this is a very well known issue with the kies software.
There are countless threads here about this issue with possible fixes for the problem.
I recommend that u search the forum for your solution and do some reading and you will find your answers.
Good luck...

Simple take the phone to an O2 service centre that way its still in warranty .

Hi
I take it you have an external micro sd card in the phone? Mine wont connect without.
If you do, you should check whether the drivers are ok by connecting via USB. Goto settings, "Wireless and Network", select usb settings and click "ask on connection". Reconnect the usb and the phone should ask you what connection you want, click mass storage.
If that fails, probably a driver issue. Uninstall Kies and samsung drivers and reinstall the latest version of Kies (google Kies)
Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll do what was advised and report back
I'm assuming once this phone is updated it's a dream to use!
Cheers
I personally find it's a dream to use if you're using the modded roms..
That does kinda void your warranty though
Just a few tips which entered my mind:
- older versions of Kies do not connect if you changed the launcher on your phone from touchwiz to something else (i.e. Launcherpro or Zeam)
- it's strange it doesn't even connect in storage mode. How are your usb settings (Settings, Wireless & Networks, USB Settings), is it set to Kies or "Ask". When set to Ask or Storage Mode, you still should pull down the notification bar when connecting to make a choice.
- does the pc bleep to indicate it at least senses a device attached? Have you tried different USB ports?

[Q] Side Sync with PC via USB

Good evening guys.
I'm trying to connect the Tab with pc via USB with Side Sync, and it doesn't work. The app is the latest version, 3.0 both on pc and tab. I'm running Windows 7 , USB debugging is enabled on Tab I also tried without, all drivers are installed on pc. I even changed the MTP connection of the USB. The computer reads the Tab, SideSync doesn't. I also tried switching off WiFi on Tab, but when I run the app, it automatically reopens and connects wirelessly, I don't know if that is relative.
Any ideas? Anyone else faced the same problem?
Thank you.
i think sidesync only works from phones, so a tablet can only connect to a phone but cant be a client...
but there was an app on the front page recently which promised sidesync like functionality:

Phone won't mount/connect to pc

I made a thread on here previously about an issue I had with my phone not going past the bootscreen and finally got it resolved. The problem I'm having now though is when I plug it up to my pc with the usb cable, i don't receive a prompt on the computer for connecting the phone so i can transfer files. I've got htc sync manager installed, which I believe is supposed to install the drivers as well for the phone? I've turned on the developer options and enabled usb debugging, still with no luck. I know the cable is good because I can connect my eReader and it syncs up fine with the pc. What else could I do to get it to connect?
