I'm just wondering what the most recent stock Kernel is, can anyone help me out?
I suppose what I'm wondering is, what would the "about phone" Menu look like on a completely stock Nexus one?

Hi All,
I looked around on the forums and didn't find anything recent, I am sure its there but wanted to be sure before going forward. I am currently on PA 3.5, but really am thinking about heading back to TW for a bit. CM is great but I kinda want to give some of the new TW based roms a try again.
Can I flash a TW rom from CWM? And if not is there a good link to a rooted/safe Firmware and ODIN? Also, once i go back is it easy to get back to CM if i really want to?
I flashed it away from TW so quickly and just found that I get bored with it all and wanted a bit of a change.
Thanks,

Hi people
I have the custom ROM installed as in the title, cm11 v9 android 4.4.4.
I have just come across the bulletproof kernel which has very nice features which I would like to use, especially with the problems I have with my home button and to use the HTC logo would be more useful than using the app "swipe home button", the knock feature bein looking useful as well as my power button looks on the way out.
Looking though the versions I've seen for this kernel I can only see versions for sense and Google play editions, and none are for android 4.4.4.
Anyone know if this kernel is possible to install or if there is a version specific flushable zip?
I'm sure others would like to know this also...

Hi guys! I am right now stuck at miui rom 5 and wonder what is a good custom rom instead? I don't know about the s-on s-off thingy right now but I believe I have the "bad" thing that is not good for custom.
What would be the easiest rom to jump over to? I am planning on selling the phone later so I guess something that looks more like stock and maybe have updates etc?

Hey there!
I own a Sony Xperia SP model C3506, updated to the latest stock version possible (4.3 Jelly Bean). Now, there are a few apps and a very specific one available only to users on 4.4+ (I think someone will probably know exactly which one I mean), and I would absolutely love to install a ROM to my phone to update it and be capable of running this application, but unfortunately for me, it's technically not considered my own phone, as my father claims he only "lent it to me" (for over a year now). He is no idiot, and is the kind of person to notice any little out-of-place characteristics like the battery meter being horizontal instead of vertical, or the colors are different or this or that, so I ask to you all; is there a way install a 4.4 ROM that is so perfectly the same as the stock 4.3 that even my father with a degree in computer science won't see the difference?
I was looking at http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/development/rom-z3-experiencesp-t3039228 , but the big problem is that with that, going into the "About Phone" menu will show the version to be 4.4 and also show the mod version, which, while necessary for most, is not so good for me.
NOTE: If there's a way to edit things in the ROM I linked above to make it look like and claim to be 4.3, then please, tell me how! I'll do it myself if necessary.
Bump.
Just install a stock rom but tell him you added a launcher to it. If ever the phone needs some fixing backup using the recovery and flash the stock rom
Try multirom with stock 4.3 and cm13
And use the stock rom while you're near him
Wanting to goo ahead and update. But why pretty much having to lose all my data anyway to restore root street update I am wondering something else. As it is the device has a lot of bloatware and I am entertaining just installing a stock Android ROM. My question is though,: I know on a custom ROM you can't use the stock LG camera due to it lacking the correct certificates or something similar. However will a stock Android ROM have those and allow me to just aside load the camera as a system app?
If not something else I am curious about: had anyone had success changing camera shortcut volume key on the G4 to another app and have it unlock the screen properly like the stock camera? Closest I have seen is the G4tweaksbox but after launching you still have to unlock the phone which defeats the purpose all together.

you mean the framework. its not present in CM or AOSP roms. well it is its just missing stock Lg binaries i think... and wuality isnt the same..
for data you could try titanium if you root it..
custom roms thers 2 types.. the ones based on stock firmware they just add a few thing maybe debloated and mods.. its the same as stock rom but with goodies.. then we have cm13 MM and AOSP roms that do not have the stock framework. like for example MM 20i stock firmware it eill tell you 20i.. if aosp it will be mentioned in thread of rom...

stock debloated means some LG apps removed or from carrier.. maybe no you tube,no chrome ect.
not sure if it will work.. if camera says aosp or CM then it must be used . if it says stock based then stock firmware or any custom rom based on stock firmare..
not sure about camera if you have link i can take a look at it..
see pictures it tells you what kind of rom is it. some doesnt have it but it should say in title..
I'm not sure if you still need a bit of help with this, but if you're looking for a stock Android ROM, download an AOSP or CM ROM, install it, then if you're simply worried about camera quality, download this and install with TWRP... http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/themes-apps/app-snap-camera-lg-g4-t3286259 ... This will replace CM's camera and replace it with one that should be optimised for the G4. I used it and personally did not see any difference between this and the stock camera. I personally am not currently using CM on my G4 because I was having troubles with it managing my mobile data, but that may be fixed by now or it may have been on my end when it happened. Hope this helped!
