Try the Wells Fargo App, that's the closest you'll get because all Wachovia banks are becoming Wells Fargo. THey already switched my credit card over so when I log in, I see that and they link you to your Wachovia accounts which take you to like a mobile browser built into the app. It gets the job done.
um i think the mobile banking app that comes with the phone is the one you can use i found that app in the android app store and it said you can use it with some banks and then it had a list
Try mint. Mint.com. Has all the banks built in and tons of features. I have used it for a long time. App updates a little slow. But otherwise no issues.

Finally, the XDA app works with their lastest update. Sheesh, this took a long time.
I have not tested the standard ad based app, but the premium app works fine and retains passwords and favorites without crashing.
Enjoy!

It's been working fine for me, for like... ever =\ since nightly 19 I think, is when I jumped into it.
No go for the standard app on my nook running Philremod v6 (CM7 final-based).
Free will get it eventually, I suppose. Just another way to get you to pay. I'll wait.

Sorry to hear that, hopefully they will fix that too.
i have tried both ttorrent and dtorr and neither one works. i can add torrents but they never start downloading.. i am using bamf remix 2 beta 5. any ideas? has anyone been able to get torrents to work?
Am pretty sure Torrents around here are taboo and not to be discussed but I could be wrong. I'll follow the thread out of curiosity.
I dont see why? torent apps are 100% legal its what you downlload that "Could be illegal" and he was not asking anything about that kind of stuff
I'm on stock Rom and ttorrents works really well.

Adownloader is the best I've used. It has no download speed limit and its free.
I use swarm. The downloads start pretty fast and i haven't had a problem so far.

In tTorrent - did you go into Settings and uncheck the "Use Wifi Only" option?
Torrent-fu is my favorite.

In re-reading the thread, it appears you were asking for local clients for the phone. Torrent-Fu controls a remote PC. Sorry about that.
Make sure in torrent under settings that you uncheck the option to use WiFi only.

this is what i do as well, it works really well for adding torrents to deluge on my vps. as far as using a torrent client on your phone that downloads directly to your phone, i would not do that personally unless you are using a public tracker like thepiratebay since any reputable tracker is most likely not going to allow a tracker from the android market. i tried andtorrent or something similar just to see if it would work on one of my private trackers and i was immediately banned from the site for using an unapproved client.
I really wish people would quit getting all bent out of shape about torrents. Not every torrent is something illegal. However, it makes it easy to see who has ever downloaded a linux distro by how much they think torrents are bad (hint: is a primary way to download most linux distros).
If the apps arent working already made, just compile one using android NDK (native development kit) (provided by google if you search) or try something like http://inportb.com/2010/10/17/debian-packages-on-android-phones/. The later lets you port debian arm packages to your phone for use and debian includes the biggest command line torrent software out there, rtorrent. For a cli app, rtorrent is very easy to use and you can just let it run in the background without the fear of it hogging your system like some gui apps might. Only downside with using debian packages is they're probably not going to use the same libc built into android, which runs faster, but oh well, shouldnt make a huge difference.
I liked swarm but I have had the best luck with andtor.
I am not talking about paid/warez APKs, but would like to know if there is a trustworthy site that I can download free APKs from? For example, Softpedia is usually my goto site for freeware when I am looking for PC apps. Does such a site exist for Android? Thanks in advance for your replies and have a great day!
I forgot to mention that I am currently trying out the Amazon App Market.
Thanks,

Yes it does.
pandaapp.com is another good one. thats what i use for all my questionably legal app downloads
Same Boat
Why be so judgy im in the same boat also looking for a place to download to my pc because i have a game room that my wifi doesn't reach and the apps can only be downloaded via wifi or 3g (if available) using the play store, I would like to see google incorp. direct download to the tablet and phones via usb using your pc as a medium aka as long as your android device is connected via usb allow direct download
You can always try 4shared.com
I usually buy apps, but sometimes I like to take them for a spin before I buy them to see if it's worth it.
Remember, always support developers.
SlideME.org
I would say just search Google with the app name and .apk at the end. Works most of the time and I find the ones I need with no problem.
I would not recommend the Amazon App Store because last few times I downloaded, it would just bug out. Not sure if they fixed it now though.
APKs FOR THUNDERBOLT
TRY "MARKETPLACE.COM/ANDROID" see if you can't find something. I have in the past. At least give it a try
Good Luck

play store (android market) can wireless push / synch apps from android.market.com to any device synching to your google account / device. no need for usb. this has been available forever. as far as trustworthy freeware sites, some torrent trackers as well as a few other d/l hosting sites cater to this, but not many unfortunately.
I never had a problem with Amazon app store, plus you get a free paid app everyday.

I'd say that if you get it via the Amazon store, you'll have access to future upgrades that you probably won't get with Samsung's version.
I did what I normally due with most of these Amazon freebies. I purchase them, it starts the download, and then I cancel the install.
If I ever happen to need that program in the future, I just go to the Amazon App Store and its waiting to be downloaded and installed.
That's a pretty cool idea actually.

Yeah, it works well and I don't have 100 different apps cluttering up my phone and taking up space. The annoying part is that when I open the Amazon App store I always have 20+ apps waiting to be downloaded. I have to scroll through a list to find out what I have. Plus, I haven't found a way to delete a program I no longer want.
I tried downloading QuickOffice Pro from the Amazon App store yesterday many times throughout the day, and kept getting an error. So much for getting it free.
I have a rooted/rommed wifi-only S1 and my GF has a Blackberry 9780. She is currently overseas for X amount of time and the only way we can talk is by calling each other which is extremely expensive, or using skype which means she has to borrow a friend's laptop or android device. She has service on her phone over there, unsure of what type of plan.
I came up with the idea of using my old BB 8330 and figuring out how to use BBM or something similar on wifi-only, but it turns out that 'ol phone doesn't have wifi on it. It's too bad I sold my last BB some time ago which was an 8530 and had wifi. Oh well.
Anyways, I'm now wondering if there's an app I can use on my S1 that she can also use on her 9780 that would allow us to text and or talk. Something like BBM that doesn't require me to have service or a data plan. I imagine there's at least one app out there that would do this and also be available to BB users.
Thanks.

I read somewhere that it uses your phone number but can't seem to confirm that.
I'm pretty sure we can use KIK but it's text only. I may be getting greedy with wanting text and talk, but having both would be awesome.
Does her phone have a browser? If so, you could use any site like ebuddy to talk. Or even get on something like palringo (dunno if there's a bb version?) but there must be something alike.

She has service and we *think* her data is unlimited. She also has a wireless router at her flat so wifi helps if the data is limited/costly.
We're trying to use apps over our current methods or using something browser based mainly for convenience. Something like whatsapp or KIK would work perfectly from what I understand, but they're text-only. Not a huge problem, but if I can find text+voice that would be great. Skype is normally the answer to that question but her phone, or more specifically her service provider, isn't compatible with skype from what I'm seeing.

I went with Kik for now. It's actually a pretty cool messenger app. Clean and fast.
I haven't yet found anything that covers both messages and voice in app form other than skype which I confirmed is not compatible with her model of phone.

Preferring to stay away from browser since apps are far more convenient and because browsers always run very sluggish on my cappy for some reason.

But if you wanna try it, there's a bare naked browser (ugly but fasssst) on here. Called naked browser I believe.

Looks like the exact app I need and it's compatible with blackberry. Will give it a try. Thanks!
ETA: Looks like Blackberry devices can not use the VoIP feature yet but they say it will be available eventually.
Turns out you need a number for viber and my device is wifi-only. After some research I found that you can use any phone number that can receive SMS because it's for them to send you a registration PIN. I tried both my GV and Heywire numbers and haven't received that text on either one. :\
