If you have cognittion 2.2 I think you can tethered or use usb internet

I use pre8 wifi tether. Just thought the guys who weren't rooted would like this.

Solved/Checking pm's in xda mobile app

I would like to know is anyone else having problem checking there pm's on the mobile xda app??? I have since lost that option and it started yesterday morning. I run an older version of the xda because imo its faster. So I thought that might be the culprit. But I have the blue xda mobile app that abadasstanker did also the transparent one Impaler did also the flashable one from the Darkhorse theme that hero32 did. I even went to the market and dl that one. All of theese still won't allow me to check my pm's via mobile. When I sign in online its fine. I've tried a nand and still no go. So I said forget it and started fresh did a fast boot erase resetup everything and still no go. So anyone else having this problem???

I had a theory regarding this and just checked it out. If you had any PMs from a certain member whose account was deleted and changed into a tree (not mentioning any names), then you cannot access your PMs from the xda app. If you log on to xda from the web, delete said PMs from he-who-shall-not-be-named, then you will be able to check your PMs from the app.
Huh you don't say. Well I'm about to try it now.

It is already "officially" out on the market, but it does not support the Thunderbolt yet. That is the reason you can't find it if you do a search.

I'll never understand that either. It should of been one of the first few devices supported. But I guess that hideous Casio phone is more important to them!

Its because when the app detects 4g it realizes it can stream a higher quality and chews through data..
And if you haven't seen.. a lot of us that got ahold of the app unofficially tear through 10+gbs a month ..

Because LG has been working with Netflix since 2010 to make this happen. Why? Because that's part of their strategy to help sell their phone.
Thanks, Robrecht

Its still a 4G device.
im dying to flash to gb just for this app... i can run away and hide at lunch and watch a good show
This whole thing has the smell of an "exclusivity" type of thing to get the LG Revolution off to a good start in terms of sales. Correct me if I am wrong, but the LG is the only 4G phone that has Netflix right now. I assume they did this so it can get a decent jump on sales to compete with the Charge and Thunderbolt... and then when the aura of it wears off, they will make it available for other 4G phones.
If I guessed, I'd say this is why its on lower end phones and older models... but not the Thunderbolt or Charge.
Just notice that the netflix app is in the market place on the thunderbolt and it shows up under supported device...I tried to run it on my stock thunderbolt and I got a drm error...I just hope this means gingerbread is almost here

Haha, yall should use Droidsheep in conjunction w/ Wifi kill. Droidsheep allows you to hijack peoples profiles on sites that are not secured by SSL. So you could hijack their facebook profile and then use wifikill and punt everyone off the net, and then profit haha. The site for Droidsheep is http://www.droidsheep.de

Hey, I was just letting you know what the app can be used for. As long as you don't do anything illegal with the app, it's not illegal to use.
I have both apps already! :O How do I keep forgetting to boot people at school!? Someone magically acquired the 64 character randomized WiFi code, which as since spread like wildfire since 3/4G is less than reliable in our huge, brick triangle of a building. I can't wait for tomorrow! This should make a classroom of 30 laptops interesting...

I don't think I even know how to do that! But I did scan the network...700+ devices at any given moment. That check all box was tempting, but that would surely land me in $#!+ about 20' deep. Not worth it. I did test it with our robotics CADD teacher (with permission) and it worked great. Although, the only thing I don't like is that it shows only the manufacturer and IP/MAC addresses. I wish it would display the computer name.
I had to go cmd -> ipconfig to get his IP and then locate it in the list to block it. Also, a sorting by IP would be a great addition.
