I was wondering if theres any way I code enter a code or something to change how the battery in the status bar looks like for MLIGN's 2.5.7? Someone please respond!
theres no code you need to edit the image files in the framework-res.apk

How do I go along doing that?
open up the .apk then click the res folder then find the files in one of the drawable folders

Well its to change the battery status for MLIGN's 2.5.7 cus I prefer the stock battery instead of the one included in that ROM, so you still want me to send the file?

ok, just the stock battery from a hero rom, will be back with it. i assume with hero roms you can still just flash a single .apk and it not mess the whole thing up, i really don't need to upload a hero rom.

Ohh so try and flash the frame-work res apk.? Sorry Im a bit of noob when it comes to stuff like this
i don't use hero, and therefore have no way of testing it (really don't feel like going through the hassle of setting it back up on my phone) but i imagine you can just flash a single .apk file and it will work. the file i am going to upload, you should just be able to flash it, since all it will be is the framework-res.apk file along with the necessary files to make an update.zip flash.

I agree, XDA has changed, but a lot of people are still dedicated...jcase, ivanmmj just to name a few.
I will try this tonight...
My initial guess is it SHOULD work... I have root and am running a custom ROM... so I will update and let you know tonight.
UPDATE: it installs, launches, but when I select "Start checks" it wont execute the system check... I might try a different version and see how that plays out.
thank you very much android!
i appreciate u comming in and making the effort here.
Got it to pass the System check, after updating to ROM 2.1 V.5.5.. works so far...

Oops. I meant sens-able ROM...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654315
it runs pretty good... I did have to flash another radio on it though because I had issues with the one that came with it.
I just remove Sense for every ROM I install because I like nexuslauncher so much better lol.
Whcih Radio do you recomend if i have the sense able rom...

I had issues with the Heroc.zip radio so 2.41.04.02.02 is the best choice [it was for me]

As for me. Works great!
Eh, I tried using metamorph on jamezelle's Sense-able 2.0 rom as well. I couldn't get all that I wanted to apply. Going on Stericson's post about metamorph (if you can't tell, this is the first time I'd ever used the program ) I assume there's not enough room in the /system partition. I have no idea how to fix that so I could do an entire theme (noob alert!).
but I did manage to change some images.
I'd love to see some themes for the eris

Lol, yeah. I have been giving it a good try, but I just don't understand enough about the process to do it well..
would any of the themes already made for sense ui be able to be ported over to the eris?

1)DO NOT UNZIP anything(browse while zipped/edit while zipped)
2)Use autosign.bat or exe.
3)No offense Flipz,LEARN ADB FIRST(NO KITCHEN)
4)When youre done editing resign the rom.
5)Thats IT!!! GOOD LUCK
You can't sign ROM's with the Kitchen. Only themes. And learning ADB commands is cool.

I would love to see Linux mod for 4.1.83 with HSUPA (or did I miss it?). Maybe the old versions work, not sure if I wanna try.
Thanks for all the devs in this community and their great help!

I was running 4.1.83 and after installing the debdroid zip with tenfar I no longer have data. I am at work and unable to do much with this so i will try to fix it later.
The zip does not work with Tenfar's recovery.
Extract the zip and place all the files in the corresponding directories on your phone.
oops, totally my fault for not reading ANY of the directions. I was in a hurry to get it on my phone and play with it at work. Now my APN wont stay for some reason. I can send and receive texts but i have no up/down arrows under my H+ icon. I am sure an sbf flash tomorrow will fix it.
Can someone PLEASE post the Verizon visual voicemail app for me? I need the apk.
Are you not able to share system apk files yet?
I was hoping you could send me the Voicemail app by just sending me the zip file that ZipMe creates. Its FREE and shouldn't take too long.
I'd even be willing to offer a reward!! Ha...just PM me if interested and you are willing to help.
Thanks!!

Hey!! You're the man! I'm having an issue with installing it, so I'm thinking there's possibly an ".odex" file in that same directory that I would need. Do you see one? If you're willing to try another method or two in order to help me to get this working, I will certainly thank you with a small gift

Dooh! I missed the .odex file
I guess I was in a hurry and didn't see it...
Well... here you go! (I had to rename the VVM3.odex to VVM3.zip. It wouldn't let me upload as .odex or .ode_)
And don't worry about giving anything.. I'm just glad to help!
Out of curiosity, why do you need the Verizon Voice Mail app? Since we don't have root, you couldn't have possibly deleted yours.. (or maybe you don't have a Verizon phone??)

Ah, sweet!! Thank you for doing this!! I actually have a Verizon HTC One M8. I'm rooted and all, just have had a stressful few months trying to get VVM installed on anything that's not Sense (stock based). I'm running a CM12 ROM at the moment and am doing everything I possibly can to get VVM on it...need it for work.
I had no idea you didn't have root yet Damn! Well, I'm sure one day soon you'll wake up and see the Droid Turbo thread flooded with people celebrating the new found root method! ...just sayin
Yeah, seriously... THANKS again!! Save me as an xda contact, and if I can EVER help you in any way, you can bet I will try!

Hey, glad I could help! I was on CM since CM7 (and still have CM for my Nexus 10, Moto G and Galaxy S3 (both are my test phones)...
But I never thought anyone would actually want Verizon apps running when they have root already lol..
If I could, I would purge them from my Droid Turbo... I HATE seeing the VM service running on my phone, so I kill it manually every time, since I can't disable it)
Well.. again, if you need anything other VZ apps, just let me know.

Sorry for the noobness,,,,,but could guide me as to how to install files both onto my N6? I have a N6 bought from T-Mobile that I'm using on Verizon. All is good except that my Visual VM is not working because the Verizon VM app is not there. Hopefully if I can install this I can get it to work.
Thanks

The easiest way for you would be to save the 2 files (rename the .zip to .odex) and click on the the .apk file with a File Manager and select "Install" when asked. Make sure you have the "Install from Unknown Sources" enabled (from Setup, Security).
Good luck!
Hi. Wondering if this will work on pretty much any VZW phone. And do you just rename the .zip to .index and place in appropriate directory? Thanks.

It should...
Rename the .zip to .odex and place both files in the same directory and use a file manager program to install. (Make sure you have the "Install from Unknown Sources" enabled.
Or if you have root, you can place them in the /system/priv-app/ directly (no need to install)
Wondering if you go this to work?
