I'm having trouble. I was excited to have flashed the newest version of Cyanogen + gapps, as well as the most recent radio, but I can't seem to place or receive calls or texts...
I've tried many different radios, but nothing is working!
Please help me!
I had a few issues too. Try wiping data and cache from the dialer/phone app, and the messaging app...
I ended up doing a wipe and reinstall. Also, be careful when restoring apps with Titanium, because some of the older data may not be compatible with any newer apps...

My phone shortcut states: 'Application is not installed on your phone'
I reinstalled the aosp dialer but no love yet.
Same thing here... I was using CM 5.0.5.3, tried to flash Froyo (from Modaco), but there where too many FCs, so I flashed CM 5.0.6 first (everybody says you can flash Froyo on top of this without wiping; I dare not wipe), and then Froyo.
Everything seems to work fine after that, EXCEPT dialer app and contacts app...
No icons for these apps in the App menu and when tapping the new dialer icon of the launcher, I get the massage "Application not installed on your phone"...
I even tried to wipe the cache for these 2 apps with no result.
This cannot be happening to just the two of us, guys, please help!
Did you try clearing defaults? Sounds like somethings not compatible with Froyo, but it doesn't know to go back to the default dialer...
I have your same problem.
The default are clean, but no icon for contacts and dialer, and the button says application not installed....
fix?
Hey guys, I had the same problem after upgrading to MoDaCo r17 from r3.1. Full data wipe fixed this issue for me. (after nandroid backup of course) Hope this helps. Pea's
I have a Galaxy S I9000M, just came back from repair at the Montreal Repair Depot.
Had some trouble unlocking it to run on Fido network, but finally got that working using Helroz's unlock tool (so, phone is rooted) and unlocked).
Used it for a little while (about an hour) installed a couple of apps, and now, suddenly, I cannot install apps from the Android Market. When I try to install, the app goes through the process of downloading, but then it does nothing. I get no error message, no notice of install failing, the app download indicator disappears from my notification area, and the app is not installed.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
Any idea of a fix? I have powered off/on, no change. I would prefer to avoid having to factory reset, but will do so if absolutely necessary.
Thanks in advance for any input.
Having the same exact problem here...
same issue
Same thing is happening to me as well. It started after I rooted my phone using super one click root.
I also used super one click root on my phone, but the if that's the cause of the problem, then it doesn't cause it right away. I was able to install several apps after rooting, then suddenly I couldn't install anything.
I have read that for some people, unmounting the SD card will work. i had an external SD card installed, but i had that in before I downloaded apps that installed properly. For me, unmounting (and removing) the external SD card did not have any effect on my problem.
For what it's worth, I'm not running any special ROm or anything - just standard Froyo 2.2 (JL2) as released by Samsung for the Bell I9000M (I didn't upgrade, it shipped back from repair with JL2 installed).
Same here

let the market update the new version of maps and itll work. its workin now for me.
How can I force Maps to update?
Just some info guys: it seems to be a known issue. Checked the help in the main Market page: http://market.android.com/support/bin/static.py?page=known_issues.cs .
It's under download and installation issues. Please report it if you're having the same problem so they can fix it faster.
Ok the problem seems to be fixed by downloading/updating the Google Maps app. If it still doesn't work make sure to:
-clear data on the market app
-restart your phone
-update Google map and let it install fully
Galaxyluv, can you tell me how to force Maps to update itself? I cannot find any option to make it update

I am not really sure, mine showed that it needed an update. Maybe you can try to uninstall/install Google Map again and make sure to clear data on the market application FIRST.
After clearing my Market cache, and uninstalling market updates, market re-updated itself, and I can now install apps again (who knows fo how long, though). Hopefully, it will stay and i will stay happy.
Under Manage Applications I can't uninstall Market Updater for the above solution.
Any help?
im haviing the same issue guys, i have put a post up with same sort of problems

gonna try this now cheers
Sorry could I get some clarification on the suggestion jayisgod posted? Cos Im obviously missing something here.
I personally force stopped the market App, cleared the data in Manage Applications (btw the Cache button is grayed out) and then restarted the Market app (Agreed on the terms blah blah) and still get the same issue.
Btw in Manage Applications -> All I can see a Market Updater package but I can't delete it or force stop it (both options are grayed out).
Thanks
PS: I am using Darky's Rom V9.1 if that makes any difference

Is anyone else still having issues with the Market not showing all your apps after flashing CM7? At first I didn't have the problem, but after RC4 and the last couple of nightlies and, and now the stable release of CM7, I still can't get all my apps to show. I've tried just about everything I can think of - restoring from TiBu, wiping cache & Dalvik, unstalling update, rebooting more times than I can count. Am I missing something? Is there some setting I'm supposed to have checked or unchecked?
I know that this has been addressed in several threads, and I have tried everything that I've seen mentioned. I also know that it is not essential that they be in the Market since I obviously still have all my apps, I just don't want to miss any updates.
Thanks in advance.
Hi everyone,
I've owned a HTC One since 3 months now, and I started trying to customize it a little. So, I followed the different guides I found on this site, and successfully managed to unlock my bootloader, install TWRP and finally flash a custom rom.
I flashed the Android Revolution HD v12.1 , and everything worked fine. Then, I made a backup with Titanium Backup Pro, no problem again. So I decided to push a little further by installing the CM 10.1 nightly version for the One; indeed, that's a nightly, for sure. I then got back to my previous custom rom and used my TB's backup to restore my datas.
I did not notice the problem immediately, but it was obviously present from the beginning : it appears that I'm not receiving anymore any notifications coming from any app I installed from the Store. I tried to uninstall then install the apps again, did not work. I looked a little bit in TB's option and I found one called "Manage Android ID", TB told me my One had a different Android ID from the previous one; I tried to restore the previous one, but still, I don't receive any notification from my apps !
I have no problem with message, call, missed call... notifications.
So, how can I fix this quite annoying problem ?
Thanks a lot.
A little bump, I need you guys!
try formatting your phone and installing an app, then check for notifications.
Ideally before changing from ARHD to CM, you should format the phone. Also titanium backup tends to have issues when you restore across different implementations.
Currently, I have ARHD. I just tried CM but TB tends to bug the entire system while restoring, anyway that's not the problem.
Of course, even though I didn't mention it, I made a FULL Wipe with TWRP each time I installed a new ROM.
I think -obviously I'd say- that the problem is caused by TB, but I'd like to know if there is any possibility to fix it without wiping the phone and installing ARHD, without using TB; Doing it this way would solve the problem I guess, but if I could avoid to lose quite a lot of data, I'd be glad !
Thanks for trying to help me.
Hi there, i'm quite confused and desperate. I was on Computerfreaks stock rom for a while untill i decided i needed to change the flavor of my device a little bit and installed RR 6.0.
Sadly it came with a lot of bugs, one day it logged me out of my whatsapp account every hour and i had to do all the first-time setup again, so i grew tired of it and installed the flashable stock 6.0 rom zip.
Everything was good, but then when i tried to install whatsapp google play would tell me that it couldn't install, error code 504. It had nothing to do with the avaliable storage obviously so then i did the whole google account removal/ erasing cache, uninstalling, rebooting, etc. Nothing, the mistake keep going. I downloaded the apk directly, and when i tried to install it, it wouldn't pass the setup and just display "app cannot be installed" only gaving me the option to accept it.
This is when i realized it had to be a bigger problem, so i switched roms ro RR 7.1.2, i could install the app.....however it simply crashed at launch, and wouldn't even allow me to complete the initial setup. I've changed the DPI, governors, tried with beta versions and older versions of the app, and nothing. I've tried with AOSP extended, Kang, and the roms mentioned above without success.
It's funny thought, every other app works wonderfully, it just this annoying thing that i actually need to use, that refuses to install.
In twrp i've wiped everything. System, Data, internal storage, dalvik, cache.
I've tried using another google account.
I just don't know what else to do.
Fun fact, i've also tried to see if this was the app's fault and just for the lolz i've installed it on my tablet.....it worked at the first installation like a charm.

I'm sorry you are having issues, but it has nothing to do with the ROMs you have used. How are you restoring data when you flash the new ROMs, if you are restoring data? Are you using Titanium Backup?
My wife and I are on RR 6.x and we both have and use What's App. Nothing is wrong with it. It doesn't log us out "every hour" -- never logs us out.
RR 6.x doesn't have "a lot of bugs" -- in fact it's rock stable and that's why I've stuck with it instead of going to Nougat ROMs. And because of xposed modules, which I am loathe to give up just yet.
Considering LOTS of people use What's App on all the ROMs you mentioned -- including my personal experience with two XT1225 on RR 6.X -- it's not the ROMs at fault in any way.
I know it's not the ROMs fault, I've ruled that out since I've changed 5 times of rom and it keeps failing. Yet I don't know what I should do to solve this problem. I'm not restoring any data, I've done a full clean install everytime, no xposed, even no root sometimes.
