will it work on My rogers captivate from canada? Its got a similar build...would anyone know?
I wish i can test it for free for 24 hours
Um... just buy it and if it doesn't work get a refund... they don't have that 24 hour refund button for nothing GL on your Audio!
his 2.3 version didn't work for me. his response was to install 2.4 I just refunded.

Okay the nexus one is a dream phone! If only it had a proper multitouch screen. How much would it cost to upgrade the screen to a multitouch one and pay a dev to make the drivers work total? $1000 ballpark? Considering this is even possible at all lol

Anything is possible but I don't think anyone would do it because you have better options like waiting for the nexus prime to come out because that will cost much less and be much simpler or you could just get some other phone.

Just wondering which MHL adapters everyone is using with there Vivid...just a FYI i bought this one...
http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0380508
and it does not work with our phones. Just wanting to get a list of ones that for sure work and dont. Would save time for others later. Thanks
My job (I sell cellphones at Fry's Electronics) carries a similar item... not sure if it'll work. If I end up buying it then i'll confirm it here.
Item: http://www.frys.com/product/6716385?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG
There are several on Amazon that work pretty well. You're better off sticking with an official HTC mhl adapter. I tried an mhl with a power pass through earlier this week and it was a no go. Its trial and error

I know. I would just like to make a list of known ones that work, to keep people from having to purchase multiple $15 adapters. It adds up fast
I bought the one from fry's a week or so ago. Works great.
I guess I'll let ya know after Christmas since it's all sold out since I put the link. Wasn't when I originally put it up. Oh well. maybe I'll spend the extra 10 to get the other one from fry's. The monoprice one was tested on evo 3d in the video I think.. can't rem for sure tho.

quality was decent, i didnt really do any extensive testing.. i downloaded a $.99 SD quality movie from the market and watched it, i wanted to make sure it worked. It was good enough to satisfy my needs. I will probably try one of the HD movies soon. Overall i am satisfied with it.

So did you had chance to try to HD video? How did it trun out when you play the 1080p?

I can only tell the playback of what I recorded with the phone's camera (1280x720) settings, the output is very clear and good quality.

It works great with HD content!
Is there a trick to getting the HDMI output to work or is it just really picky about the adapters. I purchased an Accell MHL to HDMI at Fry's (link in beginning of thread) and I'm not seeing anything.

isnt it dangerous for the phone even if it is only at 748Mhz? is there really a big difference?
Not really too big. But it will somehow reduce your phone's life.

just as I suspected. In what way will it be reduced?
Set it at 633 at most for usual use, only set it high when playing games.

IMO You will get faster new phone than it will damage due to overclocking. For how long You would like to use it? For one year, maybe two?
Lol... the phone still can be used in Airplane mode playing games and listening music in the future!!
Or I can give it to my little sister!

I am just posting that the on board speakers died on my phone. They aren't blown as headphones don't work either. I can only hear anything on a regular phone call as speakerphone doesn't work either. I have restored my one to stock as I am doing a rma on it. Anyone else ever experience this?

Possibly since it's only amped audio that does not work

Do you have bluetooth speakers? Try that and if it works it's probably the amp imo. If it doesn't it might be your audio driver. Either way your probably going to have to get a replacement or a repair.
Have you called HTC and troubleshooted with them yet?

Yea I contacted AT&T my provider and they are shipping me another one. I had cm10.2 on it when it stopped worked but even returning it to stock had no effect. I just posted here to see if anyone else had experienced this issue.

Not closely similar to this, but I'm about to claim for the SECOND time that the top speaker is junk. The first phone it blew leaving it distorted and fuzzy. This one, all of a sudden overnight it sounds like a crazy vibration coming from the speaker. Kinda hard to explain... But it sounds absolutely terrible. So I'm going to fastboot the RUU and see if that makes a difference. If not its going back for another

Hi!
When I bought my HTC One, there was earplugs included. They worked perfectly well for a while, then I tried to root my phone and failed, it still worked for a while, but then they stopped working. I figured it had to be the updates, so yesterday I rooted my phone successfully to 4,4 with a custom rom, but earplugs still not working.
Have anyone else experienced this?

do other earplugs still work? i highly doubt rooting your phone would break your headphone jack
Yeah, other headsets and earplugs work with my phone, and the HTC earplugs work with other phones and computers

Has the warranty expired since I rooted it, it won't help to send it in to HTC?

so other headsets/earbuds work with your phone, the HTC earbuds work with other phones.
But HTC earbuds dont work in your phone?
that seems extremely odd. can't really help you. Im pretty sure warranty is voided now that youre rooted. Why not just get another headset. the stock ones blow i used it for 1 call and gave them to a coworker haha
I bought some, but someone stole them after the first week, and I don't want to spend another $100 on new ones

You don't have to spend $100. And if you want to return the phone just put it back to stock. No warranty issues. Most don't care if you give it to them on custom roms anyway.

Alright, I will try. In Norway, quality ear buds cost at least $100
