You can easily update the phone yourself using odin to flash the newest firmware version! You don't have to wait for your carrier to do it just go download the newest firmware for N950F and flash it and just do that every time a new one comes out.
Thx MrMike,
My mobile content will remain or i will lose all my apps...etc ?

If you're only updating you should be fine however I would still suggest you use Smart Switch from the play store and make a backup of everything on your phone so it saves the backup to your SD card so if anything goes wrong you still have everything and you just use Smart Switch to restore it all.. You never do anything to your phone without making a backup!

Hi,
currently I'm using the latest dev Firmeware fw_gemini_miui_MI5Global_8.11.22_c5d7ee6745_8.0 with Havoc-OS 2.3[9.0] and have a mobile internet data rate by around 0,03 MB/s - Independent from any locations.
My local carrier is "Klarmobil" as a sub-brand of Telekom (Germany) with H+ (no LTE). I tried a lot with APN settings. I was a bit confused as normally after installing a new ROM a APN setting SMS is received to apply profile - Not with Android 9. So I called the support and did the APN settings by hand - Nothing changed.
Same issue with Resurrection Remix 7.0.0 based on Android 9 with same Firmware. You have any idea?
Regards,
Georg

Hi,
thanks for you reply. 3 more (maybe stupid) questions:
1. I was thinking that a non dev version lock the Bootloader again?
2. I always read something about the latest dev Version in the Rom section - Is this compatible with any Android 9 ROM?
3. Can I dirty flash the Firmware or need to do a clean wipe?
Regards

Good stuff! Cheers
Is it normal for Oneplus to keep Beta builds alive, even after the OS Android 10 has been released?
Android 10 has been released and a maintenance release was posted seems weird to see Betas.

I have stayed with the betas since OB2 and have also used stable. Have never had any real issues with either.
Current setup is Base OB4 with a load of the latest Omni 10 over both slots and this is and update setup without a data format. Was previously using OB3 with Omni as well prior to the update. Galaxy watch and all my apps work flawlessly on this OB4 as they did with OB3. Planing on adding @pappaschlumpf kernel as I also have latest magisk running well on this also. Not sure yet as everything, and I mean everything works perfect... OOS 10.0.1 cam as well as latest Gcam together!
Cheers!

Very welcome brother! I figured somebody was going to reveal this here - but just went ahead a did it as I felt the update is a G1
avid_droid said:
Wouldn't that be considered as omnirom instead of base ob4? Once you flash the ROM over it's no longer oos. Not sure as to what you mean!?? All is being used from oos is the vendor partition which omnirom overrides the system to AOSP or LineageOS base. Therefore it no longer being an OOS base. So I'm confused as to what you are saying??
I'm currently on OB4 from crdroid, had to switch because of data connectivity issues. So far so good.
OOS can be used as base to get the right system and vendor in order to be compatible with the Custom ROM you are flashing. All features from OOS does not transfer to Omni just a fyi

Yes, yes, and yes, but I spose clarification helps. You are as you have been correct in most all of your post both here and the Tele CRDroid channel - meaning I respect and trust your steps/help/info you provide!
My "current setup" is as such with omni over OB4 - very aware once flash ASOP Rom from OOS we change worlds. My use of the word "base" is to the foundation or stable starting point prior to getting to my "current setup". I like very much OOS features and have found OB2, OB3, stable 10.0.1, and OB4 for a few minutes today to be stable, but I much prefer my ASOP flavor and the added access it gives for my type of mods. Do forgive me for not clearing a line between the two and what we are meaning to imply.
The main reason I have not tried CRDroid is because of the connectivity issues and that I very much want to give a Kernel a try. Hope this gets us crystal!?!
New to phone ,I just flash 21.0.21 OTA.
And this build 13.W is the latest ? Excuse the noob question
Edit: ok i understand now, stable release and beta testing.my question now is can I just flash the beta version now?

I just did a dirty flash then flashed TWRP, rebooted into TWRP, flashed Magisk, wiped cache and running fine. Still rooted and passing Safety check.
I'm so jealous of everyone. I have TMobile and I'm in the USA. I wish I had the latest upgrade.
Is battery life on Beta builds better than stable? I'm really tempted to use the beta 'cause the battery in my stable is pretty disappointing, speacially in standby.

I believe you can switch to the global version with the msmtool
So I updated to the beta 4
First I formated the phone in TWRP
Then installed the beta4 and TWRP
Then rebooted into TWRP
Then installed the beta4 and TWRP
Then rebooted into TWRP
Then rebooted into system
My problem is not music going through the car speakers
Again I can make phone calls and receive calls through car speaker
I have had this issue on all 10 updates
Then only way I get the Bluetooth to work right is either on Android 9 or the Pixel Experience ROM
The only difference I see in developer option between the oos 10 and Pixel Experience ROM is
Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload is grayed out turned off on the OOS 10
But on the Pixel Experience ROM Disable Bluetooth A2DP hardware offload is grayed turned on
I'm running the beta4 right now anyway to fix this I want to run 10 but need my car audio to work
HELP PLEASE ?
Sorry I thought I put the right screenshot
Cheers guys,
u all know android auto was always disconnecting from s21 phones since the launch, and its a great problem, they announced fix for september and I hope they fixed it.
what are your experiences with it? does it still happen?
Hey Kaluta,
I am using an Australian Exynos S21 Ultra with an Indian 4.0 Beta update on top.
Can confirm that AA works with my Kia Rio 2017. Ok google detection is can be flaky (could be my accent tho).
Haven't seen my phone disconnect so far (I work mostly from home, so further testing needed).
I see google promising fixes for AA every few weeks.
Given that the Beta is running Android 12, I feel AA would be more stable in general. but then again AA is updated over Gplay as well.
I suggest trying the beta and roll back if you have a bad experience.
Also have an Australian Exynos S21 Ultra, updated to A12 OneUI 4 Beta 1.
Android Auto works better than on A11/OneUI 3.1.
Europe version, AA is working

Changing CSC from XSA to INU
Hi all, I was just wondering if it's possible to change my S21U firmware to Germany firmware (DBT) since OTA updates come sooner.
forum.xda-developers.com
Long story!
At the time my xsa was not running the latest firmware ( I think the latest firmware is out now). Had to flash an Indian firmware first to be able to flash the beta zip. I chose India as 1) It's one of the only countries part of the beta program 2) They use the exact model as us in India. 3) A lot of devs in India, more XDA support if things go wrong

Working fine for me, even wirelessly with AA in a 2018 Audi A4 and AAWireless box.
Always worked flawlessly, cabled and wireless, Android 11 and now the 12 beta.
I've never had issues on Android 11 or the beta in my 2020 Hyundai Veloster N

I've had issues before with cables and dust in the port, even with my s20 Ultra (nothing to do with this beta) . I usually use 3$ cables (Ugreen or Baseus branded from Aliexpress). But for my car, I use a pricey 20$ Belkin cable. I suggest trying a new cable/Samsung original and maybe uninstalling the app/clearing data + cache...
