[Q] Bell MMS problems - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've been trying to come up with ideas in my head as well as searching for an answer online and on here and I haven't found anything that has helped. I have been trying to get the correct apn settings for my i9000m to send a receive MMS messages. I found apn settings for the Nexus One on Bell's site that let me send them but I still haven't been able to find out how to receive them. Does anyone have any ideas or can help me in any way? Any Bell users that have gotten it working? If so, what did it take?
P.S. I'm running stock JH2 with no tweaks or lagfixes other than root.

I have a data and phone plan with them so i know i get to send MMS messages, as I have already sent them before. All of a sudden I cannot. They sit trying to send and then just sit in my outbox. Any Ideas?

[Q] Can't send text messages on vibrant? please help

I got a new galaxy s bell vibrant today because i lost my old one :'(. After unlocking and flashing for hours (it was difficult because it came with froyo 2.2 and was hard to downgrade), i finally got it running darkys extreme 9.something and I've got data, calls... everything working well with good reception.
The Issue: I cant SEND text messages, but I can receive them
i've checked my APN settings and they seem to be fine.
Any ideas?
Edit: I've noticed that my phone does not know its own number (shows up as unknown)
Put A ROM ON that does not break your phone .

I encountered a similar issue just yesterday after weeks of no issues. After some digging, found that the SMSC number is missing.
Which provider are are you using? Once you know, do a search for <provider> smsc number.
I presume you may be using the stock messaging app. If so, go to Menu, Settings, Message Center. Enter here.
When I tried via codes option, it would not work.
I hope this helps.
resolved!

MMS Problems

Hi,
I have a Samsung I9000 Galaxy S device running Gingerbread 2.3.3 (Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVH-CL184813) and I can't seem to send or receive any MMS.
I don't really know exactly when this problem started because I just recently had to use MMS and noticed it was broken. I'm sure at some point it was working correctly.
When I receive a MMS I get the notification and in the message there is a "Download" button. Touching the button it give me a notification that the download failed.
I've checked the apn settings over and over again.
I don't have any other issues with my phone.
Please let me know if you had encounter this problem and if you have any solutions.
late reply - saw this while trying to find a solution to my new problem.
could not send or receive mms on my i9000m without using telstra wap apn (not ideal as not on a data plan, only prepaid talk/text).
finally got a prepaid data plam\n so all was good til today when suddenly lost ability to mms again - send or receive. trying to play with apn options again but now also find that i can't delete all the existing apns and start from scratch. the 'default' telstra ones...mms and internet, obviously not working and i can't get rid of them...but can start a new one.
wonder if i can delete them via root explorer, but don't know where to find them in there. will keep looking and update if i resolve this issue.
bummer.....

[Q] Problem with MMS on CM10 and CM10.1

Hi gang
I can't make MMS work on CM10.1 (had same problem with CM10), I installed the correct APNs and I know I didn't screw them up since I've restored APNs a lot, however i just can't receive nor send MMS
I read about a lot of other people with same problem across different devices on CM10 and CM10.1, however they use different mods that aren't available for our device in order to make it work, like MagicMod options etc.
Any ideas?
I'm on Telenor DK
Kind regards
Neefy
Any luck on this?
i'm finding the same issue with 3 different networks here in ireand,
all settings correct. process of activating mms on each network is to send one to yourself, but thats not working either. customer services dont have any clue either.

[Q] boostmobile mms discontinues MMS & GPS?!

the guy that flashed my phone told me that as of april 30, boostmobile is phasing out mms and gps to many 3g phones. unlucky for me the rant(my donor phone is on that list) i contacted him after i havent been able to send or receive mms. my gps works fine. i searched google and here for any info on this, and couldnt find anything he also said the only why to get mms back on is to get a new donor(incognito). i would like to know if this true.
2ndly can any one help or point me to info that will get my mms working again. i have tried the ##3282# to edit advance method. but i cant find mmsc(or anything close to that) to change to mm.myboostmobile.com. I went to my stock messaging-mms setting and it has the mm.myboostmobile set already. also went to mobile network setting but "access point names" cant be selected. please help anyone.
so i spoke with customer service and its true they have discontinued multimedia for the rant and other nonandroid/smart phones. he gave me 50% off on any smart phone on boostmobile.com but he said the incognito is nonsmart and cant get mms either. anyone have there htc one flashed? does your mms still work? is there anyone with input or suggestions? help
