Do not install themes over the top of GummyJAR 2.0 unless they were made for 2.0, you will get stuck in a bootloop if you do
Note: If you are having issues with GPS on 2.0 you will need to do a wipe install of 2.1 to fix it!!! Sorry
GummyJar is built for and only tested on 2.3.320/340 based phones.... If you are running 2.3.15 you might have issues Don't worry D2users you are good
GummyJAR is an AOSP like rom, yes it is based off of a moto rom (2.3.340)
99% of all apps were compiled by me from source (a few needed to be there from moto... like three or so provider.service apps)... This is a first and I was able to accomplish this though modifying the framework in both cvpc's and cyanogenmod's source. All source changes will be available to anyone who requests them after GummyJAR is released.... So yes this work will work its way into other Blur based ROM's
The look and and feel of this rom is AOSP + Gingerbread with a few tweaks If you are a themer and would like to release themes for my rom PM me...
GummyJAR is really as close to AOSP as we are going to get until cvpcs and Matt get things figured out and the bugs cleared up!!!
Thanks:
Thanks to Droid2169 for his patience with me when I needed help or just a question answered. GummyJAR will also be using his busybox and script which is greatly appreciated!

Existing themes will not be supported although they may work.. This framework is highly modified and I would prefer it if people created themes directly for GummyJAR

Didn't even realize there was a download link, downloading now.
If we are coming from a different rom, do we need to SBF back to 2.3.320? Or are we safe flashing directly from the rom (still factory reset/wipe cache etc)?
There should be not need to sbf.... as long as you are on 2.3.320

when your all done, could you please post up and let me know how this compares to Apex?
I've been eying up this, plus Obsidian (whenever it's completely finished) and I'd like to know a "real world" opinion on how these roms perform vs a slightly blurry rom like ApeX
Just wanna know if it's really worth the hassle of switching ROMs

Watching it boot up as we speak.
I've decided that switching ROMs isn't that big of a hassle with Titanium Backup. I mean it'll take 20 minutes or so to get everything set up like I like, but it should be worth it. Check back in a little bit, and I'll let you know what I think. Should be awesome .
Hey Kejar,
I have suggestion. How about including the new swype with next build. It plays pretty nice with Gummy and Rubix. I have been using it for a while now but every time I have to do those hacking to install it. Its better than the original one so I guess no harm in putting it in by default
Installing new yummy gummy as I type and it just booted
OOh yea, rotary lock screen and music control working gr8
diggin it.
Installed right on top of rubix 1.9.5 no prob so far
So far I am completely loving it. However, I'm having an issue:
When I first installed the ROM, my background was the same as the one I had on ApeX - this is because I have the background on my SD Card. Not sure how it carried over since I wiped data/cache, but whatever. Now when I try to change the background, it won't change. What should I do?
Also, how do you replace the 3 dock icons at the bottom?
how does this compare to fission? thanks

GummyJAR comes with the very basic Launcher2 launcher.. I do it this way with the expectation that people will find and install their favorite launcher such as ADW or LauncherPRO from the market.. I want to keep GummyJAR out of that decision making

I seem to be having a problem with Facebook integrating with my contacts. I have the settings inside the Facebook app correct, but it still isn't syncing information and won't let me link contacts with Facebook accounts. Was that a blur thing?

you will need to download the facebook app. After the install is complete the first time you log in,the app will ask if you want to sync all/existing etc.... contacts. just make your selection and give it 30 min (may take longer if you have a ton of friends on facebook) to get updated all the way..
Just tested everything and all good. I even just got the (Nexus S) Nexus LWP running, and OCed to 1.2GHz.

Still not working like it did before :/ I guess it was a blur feature. Does AOSP give you the ability to link Facebook Contacts with Google Contacts?

Note: It is Highly Recommended that you Wipe before installing Liberty 1.5 even if you have 1.0 installed.
Liberty is tested and supported on only 320/340 droid X’s.
Liberty is the result of a collaboration between Kejar31 and Jrummy16. The base and apps from this ROM are the continuation of GummyJAR’s base while the scripts and toolbox are the continuation of Rumm’s tools. Together Liberty is a evolution in the DroidX/2 ROM scene.

Glad to see this out and about in the open. Quick question though; did you make it so you can manually set custom overclocks at boot?
Bugfixes are always a nice addition to see in as well.
What is Cytown Phone? I saw the application for G1, but never found a droid x version.
Yay!

Which theme can i used with 1.5?
Themes that can be used with 1.5 will be in the toolbox.
I am so excited and depressed at the same time. I am so excited to see the next update for Liberty and I am depressed because I gotta wait a couple of hours until I get home to install the latest version. I might try and download it over 3g but for some reason I don't trust doing it that way. Would much rather download over wifi and we don't have that here at work.
just installed 1.0 last night, for my buddy. i have an evo but he has droid x. how do i know wat resolution hes got and why did it fc wen i tried to get into his liberty settings?
another question: i rooted his phone last night, whats the best recovery to use on droid x?
rooting n flashing for evos and droid x are basically the same process right??

I did it over 3g and it worked fine. I made sure to do a backup first. Not sure how much work you'll get done after you install it. I couldn't put my phone down last night till I passed out in my recliner.

Easy update over 1.0. No wipe needed. It's all good! Thanks JRs!
HRm.. seems like LP keeps FC. 3d gallery seems to be slower on 1.0 but i'm gonna roll back to stock .340 rooted and load this again. then restore all my apps and data and hope this fix's it. eww... as i was typing this i tried to remove some widgets and my phone re-booted.
I keep getting a force close on titanium back up when trying to restore apps (in batch mode, manually it works fine, but still force closes on some occasions)
You can get the correct size gingerbread keyboard from the market. It works like a charm.

well restored rooted backed up and reloaded liberty 1.5 smoothly be patient it does take some time when restoring apps/data once liberty is installed. but i hope this stays stable.

Yep worked for me too! so glad i didnt have to go through installing and setting everything up all over again!
Ran into a small glitch after updating from 1.0 to 1.5 without wiping:
OC with JRummy's app did not work on boot. I toggled the module on and off and it's now working.
I factory wiped then installed Liberty 1.5 and I'm getting reboots every minute after booting. All by itself reboots. If I try and use an app...reboots. going to wipe and flash again.
What really sucks is that it doesn't even give me enough time to download and install bootstrap! I'm just stuck in bootloops and not around a PC I can use. Any suggestions?
Sweet.
Glad Ringtones are finally fixed. Was driving me batty!
I'm also getting FC's on LauncherPro. I wonder what's causing the incompatibility.

Put my phone in airplane mode and that stopped the reboot issue. Now going to try WiFi or Titanium to get my bootstrap back.

Recommendations:
Wipe EVERYTHING before installing, or you WILL have problems.
Give the ROM time to run, before judging it. It will be slow to start, but speed will increase as things settle in. Wont take long, maybe a few minutes!
As for the Market, you need to sign into your Google account FIRST, and then the icon will appear.

Wondering the same thing. Has anyone tried this rom?
I'm an Evo user, rooted of course, with a nob question. Got a hold of a droid x, rooted it and want to flash this rom. Nob question. Can I boot int recover via rom mgr and flash or do I need to use boot straps to do this? I'm not well versed in cwm as I use RA for my evo. Thanks in advance, and take it easy on me please.
Also Can2t install
I just fresh sbf'ed back to 0.602. When I try to install I get Error 7 from clockwork....anyone else having this problem? Do i need to flash 2int recovery to install?-AT

What's going on CHEVY? I was wondering if it was fine for me to just install this on top of MIUI 1.10.21?
besides wiping dalvik if I do, will I need to format system as well by any chance?
Thanks for this awesome rom. Miui got boring after a while. I've been using it since it was released for us Droid x users.
Thanks for nice work but I have a question, what about the camera as I test in CM7 is too bad ? did you solve it in your ROM?
Looks great! Nice work
Wifi Issues
IS anyone else experiencing WIFI issues with this ROM? Sometimes I cannot get it to connect; then if I reset the phone a bunch of times it eventually connects....I wiped everything and reflashed twice; still having the issue.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Thanks

I'd also like to know if this is Safestrap compatible. Also, does this update include any fixes to the "Cell Idle" and "Cell Standby" issues? They were drastically high in comparison to Stock 5.6.890 Blur. I loved the 1.0 version, but I had to stop using because of the battery drain issues.
Thank you so much for the work you put into the D3.
I just did the install via SafeStrap with no issues outside of the fact I cannot locate the lock screen options. Safestrap is still working fine so rollback is possible.
On that note: I cannot locate the lock screen options and every time I try to access the status bar options the process crashes.

FYI To the Devs... Flashing the Blur Email/Calendar seems to be what puts the "Hack" in the settings menu.
Is there any reason I can't select any ringtones for ANYTHING in this ROM? I had the same problem with the previous version.
I have even went so far as to install some custom ringtones on to interal sd, sd-ext, and in /system/media/audio but yet when I go in to the settings to select either a ringtone, or a notification sound the popup is blank.
I did wipe and clear cache before installing the newest 2.0, but as I mentioned earlier I had this same problem in the last version.
**EDIT**
Also the Blur Calendar widget is still force closing upon trying to add it to the desktop.
Just flashed and I'm liking it so far but I noticed the touch screen doesn't work that well with the app drawer open
