Hi,
Is it possible to remove the clock from the taskbar on the Gsm Hero?
Thanks.

If your using a custom rom, most of them have the new CyanogenMod settings.
In CM settings go to "User interface/Status bar" and un-tick "Show clock"
If you don't have a custom rom then I don't know how you would go about it.

If you are on android 2.1, I'm not sure if it is possible, but if you are on 2.2, there is a option in setting named 'villain settings' or 'crayanogen mod settings' , then go to status bar, and deslect the clock..
I think it helps you..
Thanks for replies, unfortunately I am on 2.1 (because I like sense), so looks like this won't be possible.
yes, it's not possible I think
If you can always look forward, and ask developers...

I have a damage control rom that used to show weather on the main screen. The rain drops and wipers. I installed the live wall paper and it got rid of my weather animation. I couldn't figure out how to delete them so I disabled them in dconfig but still have no clue how to get my weather animation back?

Reflash the damage ROM?
On your home screen, select the clock widget and remove it (long press on it, then drag it down to the trash can).
Add a new Clock widget. The first screen will let you pick between which of the 12 clocks you want -- I'm assuming #3 is the one you'll use with the weather pics/info at the bottom. Click Select, then the next screen gives you the chance to select your city -- you'll probably choose "Current Location". Then the next screen after this will show you a checkbox: "Show full weather animation." Leave that one checked and click Finish or Add or whatever the button says at the bottom.
That's how you get those weather animations with that HTC clock widget.
If this doesn't work then something else is wrong and you may need to re-flash the ROM as the previous post mentioned.
(BTW, this belongs in the Q&A forum)
Sorry about posting in the wrong section. Removing and adding it again didn't work. If I reflash a rom would I lose anything?

You need to flash Fresh's Open GL fix. I have the file at home and will post later for you. Fixes the issue so you can run LWP and have the animations too.

Ok...I know I can go to the settings and change the icon select and icon pressed colors (whatever the real name is)...however on doing that all that changes is when I tap an icon...go figure. It doesn't change the contacts highlight color, the settings list highlight color...basically nothing is changed but the icon color. Everything else is still orange. Does that make sense?
What I want is to change all colors from orange to grey. I can't imagine this isn't possible, but for the life of me I can't find it...just to reiterate...it is NOT the setting in ADW settings as everyone suggests. That only changes the icon select color, not a list highlight color
Thanks in advance

The highlights you're trying to change have nothing to do with ADW - they're built in as part of the ROM/app that you're using.
In order to change those you'd need a theme.

You should check compatability before linking to other device forums, this isnt compatable with the HD2. You completely lose your status bar & all associated links, even the windows button menu link to notifications wont work.
The creator has said that they are working on versions for other devices so keep an eye out.

not sure witch home luancher you have/use but i have it on my hd2 and works fine with adw ex, you have to do as first post says to do with whatever launcher you are using. the only thing i didnt like is it changed my bar icons and can not get mine back. maybe ill get this fixed but it does still work on my hd2 using Gregarious Greyhound (HyperDroid-CM7-v2.0.1).

Well it worked perfectly for me, what ROM are you using?
Using stock launcher on Cyanogen HD2 Gingerbread v.17 mod.
Based on Mod/Theme for Hyperdroid GBX 07/06/11 - By ElephantStone82
I used his work to learn and modify my own homebrew.
This is for those who like the look of MIUI but the speed of Hyperdroid and hopefully this should work when there is finally an updated release. * I do not recommend 167dpi - I myself use 220. No idea what it looks like in 167. Don't forget to disable "wallpaperhack" in adwEX.
Modifications:
Transparent Pulldown Menu
Modified power widget icons (nearly all modded)
Stock gingerbread wifi/cell/battery ! Looks awesome w/ transparent and works.
MIUI clock mod included
CWM update patch download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/m4le68b60clveyd/CWM-Shael-Transparent-Hyperdroid-MOD.zip
Is Status bar transparent too?
EDIT
Oh i see it is, but which launcher did you use?
Using adwEX (quite customized) finger up = brings up hidden dock, finger down =app drawer. I could share my setup files if you like.
My mod worked well for you? I haven't had feedback yet.

Hey guys!
Well I got a little confused... do we need ADW launcher to have this mod working? Or it will work in an Hyperdroid GBX stock rom?
EDIT: this is a patch correct? The only way to undo it is reflashing again.

will try it indeed. Thanks
this is stunning

Hey, did you get it working ?
It should work with no launcher, with launcher pro and with ADW.. but with ADW you must remember to un-check the box in the settings "Enable wallpaper hack"..
otherwise you should be good to go, i realized i ****ed up the gps icons when it's searching for satellites ! atleast for me it flashes a battery / headphone symbol - (and then finally the correct symbol once it locks) so i'm gonna fix that soon and re-upload, but other than that - yea it works great and i finally got my phone to look the way i wanted.. if anyone has any recommendations on how to improve it, let me know.
Cheers

Hello!
No I haven't try it yet but I will as soon as I do a backup. Don't want to mess up things without a backup just for the case that I don't like it, and then reinstall everything again...
Other question: This mod changes not only the opacity but also the task bar icons?
I know that i can click and hold the home button to show recently used/running apps but I would prefer to just drag down the statusbar and see 8 icons of recently used apps.
I have tried different apps from market but most of them show a button that mimics holding down the home button instead of showing icons directly in the notifications area.
Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tried both but like I said in the original post. I'd like it to show icons of recently used apps horizontally. The second one is a full status barcreplacement and I don't want that. Appreciate your help
Use an HTC device? I'm not sure, but check out UOT Kitchen and see if they have that option. Basically you build your own status bar from scratch. I haven't heard any methods of using recently used apps in the Notification bar except for HTC.

UOT Kitchen doesn't seem to have this option.
About HTC, can't we have that implementation as an app? I would love something similar. thank you for the contribution!
Quest continues
