Hey guys after installing 2.2 I rooted my phone again and put the lag fix back on for obvious reasons.
The problem is the lag fix party didn't go so well and completely messed up my phone. I tried taking the lag fix back off but it kept saying it failed...
I went into recovery mode and wiped my sd card and did a factory reset. The phone started working right again and my su had gone.
The thing is though that there was still a folder in my files called templagfix. I deleted this folder and did a battery pull.
so... Will the sd card wipe and factory reset in recovery mode have taken the root and lag fix off properly?
i think you should normally do a Re-Flash of the Firmware you use to made a clean Build

I used the kies registry hack so it just says latest version already installed.
Hello There...Im new here in xda so I hope you can help me with my problem. I upgraded my i9000 last night through Kies and I got a pop up for available update of JM1 for my i9000.I follewed all the instructions, when my i9000 reboot, these things keeps on popping up on my screen every 2 sec, tw launcher has stopped unexpectedly and so many other applications. Before I started the update,my phone is on Ryanzas One Click Lag Fix, obviously I can't enter the home screen and no menu icons or anything seen in my device except for applications button which I cannot access either. I can do the 3 buttons recovery mode, but I dont know what to do next. How can I reset my phone to factory settings?? any help will be greatly appreciated.
BTW: I already tried wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition but no use. I still come up with same home screen and annoying pop up.
Help me please with this problem.
Can you please give me ways and steps on how to return my device to its factory settings, including the firmware. Thank you so much!
Hi
I got a rooted Samsung galaxy plus 9001.
I installed font changer and busy box.
With the font changer i chose a ttf font from the internal memory card, and after applying it, i got the pop up menu reboot now.
After clicking on reboot now my phone stuck in reboot loop.
I can access android recovery menu, i treid wipe all user data but still stuck in reboot loop.
Please help me guys.
You'll have to reinstall the rom you were using... that should get you out of bootloop. If that doesn't work, do factory defaults (you'll lose all apps and settings!) and install the original rom again (or for instance XXKPS).
One more tip: always make a (cwm/feamod) backup before changing system defaults
Regards,
Nika.
Thank you.. Thanks alot

any link to step by step instructions on how to do this available anywhere?
i have similar boot loop problem.
I doubt anyone has created that. How did you get into the loop?
Sent from my GT-I9001 using xda premium
Boot Loop
When you are stuck in the boot loop:
1. Take out the battery and re-insert it.
2. Put the phone in download mode (using 3-button combo - down+home+power)
3. Open Odin, and reinstall the stock firmware (using all 3 md5 files: PDA, CSC and PHONE); you will be able to find the files in the stock firmware 2.3.5 from the post in XDA-stock gingerbread roms for i9000.
4. After you have done this, root your phone, install custom kernel, and then install custom firmware through custom recovery menu.
Thats the way i did it....i dunno if there is a short cut to it.
Hope it helps!
I also find bootloop can be resolved by going into download as stated by puneetgandhi and flash a VOODOO KERNEL using ODIN (it goes on PDA).
Then booting to recovery and turning off all lags.

No idea, it has been going in and out of boot loops a few times already for last few months works fine for ages. All of a sudden it would starts lagging on an app or when texting and reboots into a loop
although i never had the problem on froyo only in gingerbread (a few week or so after i got my phone back from repair shop, they upgraded it to gingerbread without my notification, but since i had voodoo on before on froyo i don't know, maybe they updated it wrongly ).
First time i fixed it with a fix on here about transferring a system file through odin.
second time it fixed itself after i left it for a day as i didn't have time to fix it .
this time i finally fixed it with a factory reset for the 4th or 5th time in a row, after wiping cache and so on, didn't work first few times.
So not sure whats causing it, could be a failing internal memory card i suppose or overheating corrupting the memory, hoping its a software issue that the factory reset will permanently fix (but doubt it).
If you were on Froyo, please look or create another thread for I9000 Samsung Galaxy S. This thread is about Samsung Galaxy S plus I9001... That's the device I own, and stuff like Voodoo and Froyo do not exist on SGS+ (and I have no experience with - probably other with an I9000/SGS do).
Not rooted, stock ROM
The Note is freezing on every app/game after few seconds/minutes, the screen become higher intensity and reboot
(kind of reboot it goes back to the lock screen is not rebooting from the start).
Then it loads, when try to use some of launchers he load it and reset again or when I reach to launch launcher and try to
open some app it blocks and reboot again.
Can to many installed app/games be a problem?
I have seen that some of icons are b/w for those app which was moved to SD card.
Can moving app to SD card cause such problem?
If I do wipe data factory reset can I brick the Note because it is not rooted/stock ROM on it?
What wipe data factory reset is doing, will it help?
In your first thread you described that you already played with supersu etc and tried to root your Rom.
And you had already some of the problems describe here again.
So I think you should install a ICS Stock Rom with PC Odin. After root it with PhilZ Kernel.
And do not install so many apps - only the ones you really need and use.
latest ICS have issues with apps disappearing .. if moved to SD card.
Hi,
why does my n7000 randomly reboots and there is this sd card removed error ( displayed quite frequently all the time when i turn the display back on) in the camera app, i cannot access previous images taken as it says " not enough space. delete unnecessary items...." and also the only app that hangs all the time.
and i am on stock jellybean, noticed all these problems only after upgrading to jellybean after a few weeks of up-gradation. . Never have i flashed any rom till now. Tried factory reset numerous times, wiped cache from recovery. These errors became too annoying that i just installed ' Root_SuperSU.0.95.Only-signed ' app and used ROM manager to reboot into recovery and wiped Dalvik cache. is there any possible way to stop with all this madness?
searched for a few days to find a fix. should i downgrade it to stock gingerbread and then upgrade it back to jellybean? oh, and i don't understand the procedure to downgrade/install custom ROM (used only a windows mobile asus p320 and that was too easy to format, just copy the ROM and poke the reset + volume, pretty easy) new to android(tried to read how to root/ install custom ROM's . my mind is too dense to get all that info)
Oh! and mine has the emmc bug though.
Help would be appreciated
thank you!
