[Q] Office Version in Energy ROM - Touch Pro2, Tilt 2 Windows Mobile ROM Development

What version of Office Mobile is supposed to be in the Energy ROM? I saw several posts that mention Office Mobile 2010, but when I check mine I have version 12.0.4518.1155. Isn't that Office Mobile 2007? I checked a Samsung Focus Windows Phone 7 and that has Office Mobile 2010 version 14.0.
Thanks.

12.x means Office 2007, you're correct.

My EnergyROM has Office 2010 on it. vs 14.0000.24618

Mystery solved. I only checked the version of One Note, which I use most. One Note is 2007 while Word and Excel are 2010.

Flash lite 3

I have searched in the forum for flash lite 3 I haven't found it. I read a post that mentioned that it is compatible with Windows devices.
I am trying to install flash lite with the new W6.1 and I don't know which version will work?
sorry if I am asking after I upgrade my rom Sprite backup is not working and I have to install everything from scratch I know is a pain in the ass but at the same time I am upgrading my software.
Thanks
Flashlite 3 is not currently made for Windows Mobile. From what I hear, the FL3 browser technology will be a part of WM7 & there is talk that Opera Software will also license this technology for the official Opera Mobile 9.5 release.
Don't expect to see a full Flashlite 3 plugin for Windows Mobile though, from my corresponence with Adobe, there are no plans for it.

Is this WM edition available for the diamond? (sliding panels)

I found this on 'the internet' http://www.multicellphone.com/how-to-customize-“sliding-panel”-home-screen-in-windows-mobile-61/
I was wondering, is this version of windows mobile available for my touch diamond? If I'm correct, it is windows mobile standard 6.1?
it is software running in WM, its not a 'edition' or 'version'

Windows Mobile Standard is for non-touchscreen devices.

I think the OP is correct, that is a standard feature of WM 6.1 Standard.
No, that version is not available for the Diamond.
from the original blogpost:
Although we're excited to see developers interested in taking advantage of the new home screen, any code samples in this blog post apply only to Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard devices. We do not expect this code to work on previous or future versions of Windows Mobile.

As said before diamond uses Profesional..
Would be nice though, looks kinda cool, but I doubt that that one is portable to the professional version.
That really looks close to the Windows Mobile 7 "previews"

Pocket Fritz 4

Hello there,
this may be a little off-beat, but does anyone know if you can install and use pocket fritz 4 (or another top program, like shredder) on the Hero?
I have no idea!!
FRITZ?
...i wish i could take FRITZ with me wherever i went...although the only FRITZ i know of is the Gentlemens club down the street haha.
...sorry couldnt help
Hahaha got me there. I could have been a little more specific. There's more info on the program here:
Link
It says on the page: System Requirements: Pocket PCs or mobile phones with Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5, 6.1, 6.0, 5.0 or Windows Mobile 2003 with Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. Touch screen. For installation: Windows PC with DVD drive. For activation: internet access (from the device or through your Windows PC).
So I guess you really need a windows mobile? Thats a big bummer! Is there a way to get a .cab working on a android-phone (thats not too complicated, so even a noob like me understands?)
Why wold you want that. The graphics are not that good. I have a Windows Mobile HTC Touch Diamond, that runs the NEXUS ONE Android(2.1)(the live wallpapers version) and on the A. Market there are a lot of chess apps that have a good user interface. But I was just giving you an idea.

Hiya!
Yup, I know there are some other chessprograms, but if you want to analyse a game on the go, I don't think there are much alternatives. Pocket Fritz is simply the best, and maybe even the only one that can analyse a position
the best
hi all ,
yes ! of course pocket fritz 4 is the best and ultimate, and hero of chess in ppc land !
with an elo perfomance near 2938! super grand master ! this means it playse and analaises
more powerful than Gary kasparov !
only for that ,I have stuckked with
windows mobie yet !
Shredder Chess recently released an Android version of the Shredder application. While I don't think it's quite as powerful as Fritz, it does offer you game analysis at a pretty strong level on your Android. It's EU5.99, so about 7 or 8 dollars, which isn't too bad. I've paid for it and it's a very high quality application.

Bloomberg on Windows Mobile 7 / HTC HD7

Is there a Bloomberg application for windows Mobiles 7 ? If so has anyone tried it out on the HD7 ?
Does IB work? I know it doesn't (or didnt) on the iphone app but works perfectly on the windows 6.1 version and blackberry.
screenshots / usability info would be appreciated.
update
I mean the actual bloomberg anywhere programme not the website in mobile version that you can get by visiting bloomberg.com/mobile/ in your mobile browser.
spoke to bloomberg today, apparently it has been requested but isnt available yet. I guess I will have to wait before I get the HD7

Excel on nexus

Anyone have any solution to use excel on nexus 10 ?
Wrong section, this is for accessories.
You can use excel on your tablet if you have an Office 365 Subscription, or if you dont have that you can use QuickOffice to make Google Doc spreadsheets.

I'm not sure that MS Office is supported on Android tablets.
Depending on what the OP needs, finding the right app could be trial and error. Quickoffice is good, I've been using it for quite a while back when it cost $20. I also use Kingsoft Office. Once you start getting into sheets with formulas, that's where compatibility starts to be an issue. Some sheets would open in both, one or none of the apps.
I've used Kingston office with no problems but I've heard it gets a little iffy as you go more in depth with the functions as mentioned above. I say give it a try because its free!
Sent from my G2 using xda app-developers app

Not the best in my opinion, but certainly there.
