Which one you like better?
GARMIN dude?
come on Garmin Roms rocks!
he should be up there..
Stuck on ROMeOS so far...seems the most stable for the things I use it for.
keep coming back to very first hyperdragon...
its by far the fastest screen rotation ive ever seen...
props to sakajati
garmin can be in others xD
V9 winning ummmm
Only used ROMeO's so far...It's okay, sort of sluggish on my phone. Possibly a radio issue?
Also, I heard for ROMeOS, it's a ROM more for speed and reliability whereas Dutty's is multimedia?
Jack's 2.1 is the fastest - proven on benchmarks
I currently have installed L26 V9 but it gets slow sometimes. I love everything on this ROM, but the fact that it get slow sometimes. Any fix for this? besides going to the ROMe3.5?

ditto that..except that i went for romeos 3.5..
i wanna try out the SUPA CLEAN rom..clean roms always seems faster..
well..atleast till i start cramming applications into the phone..
i used to like alex's and qmobile roms..until they paused updating it..
L26 gave me random resets + was sluggish.
Sorry, just my experience.
ROMeOS 3.5 is (imho) much faster, more responsive and is more reliable. All apps work like a charm on it, so I'm sticking with it even though updated drivers cab doesn't support it (i use original cab)
ROMeOS v3.5
For the moment, the stable one for me...
the TP2 is basically a cosmetic upgrade to the original TP... but now they have added the 800 x 480 resolution screen!!!
Does this mean if a ROM is dumped, it would be much easier to port? ya know, considering the x1 and TP2 will be sooo similar now?
There is a DIAMOND2 dump here :[ Link removed due to it not being a "real/official" diamond2 dump... ]
but don't we need a keyboard driver or something like that? or can that just be swapped over from existing roms?

It's not. I bet it's a rom dump from Dutty's HD rom but it does have a lot of goodies in it.
its a dump from duttys
People have no respect! The community really should reject anyone using this dump without explicit approval from Dutty
i see... thanks for clearing that up guys...
but for real tho, when a real dump is out, would it be hard to port? or will the ball get rollin pretty darn fast?
I've been googling for about 5 or 6hrs and haven't found anything that is legit.... If i find something i'll post some links.
good lookin out bxsteez! thanks man
I just know a Diamond2 was stolen in MWC2009....
isnt it early to find a rom dump?
i thought these usually show up when manufacturers have their build from HTC or whatever. These should be based on WM 6.5 no?
My information about the diamond's 2 are that there are wm6.1 Prof. devices. If you want, It is possible to make an offical update to 6.5, so HTC on a video on youtube by the WMC.
cemetry
So was Dutty the one who stole the device from HTC's CEO?
There has been a substantial amount of progress in the dump of the OEM packages from the touch pro 2. The XIP is out there too but there is no SYS so we are still waiting on that.

I haven't heard about that one yet. Let me know how it turns out. I don't wanna release my new rom till i can get everything working the way i want with the colors i want.

It looks like it's got pretty much all the obtained rhodium stuff in it, mixed with some kovsky and and HD.
For novices it's sublimely easy to build with, literally one button and choose what apps you want..
Does have many of the same bugs Itjes B1 had, (contacts etc) and a load of custom icons which aren't to my tastes. but overall it's very very impressive
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=483703 (the 1.5.14)
Nice i'll try it when i get home. It doesn't happen to have the 21018 SYS does it?
OH wow there are so many different kitchens. I wonder how tfl3d from touch pro2 will work on windows 6.5 better than it does on 6.1...
Guys,
Does anyone here have a plain, vanilla ROM. Essentially a stock ROM without the extras? I really like Miri's builds but I want the new interface, etc. Any suggestions? Tweats and registry changes are fine but I don't want any "extra" programs installed.
Me too, Miri's going to build new V19 build with 23519
Is there an ETA on this? I just want a plain 6.5.3 ROM, I'd make one myself if I knew how. I like optimistions but not APPS!

Building your own ROM isnt' too hard, and there's a reasonably large selection of kitchens available in the WinMo 6.5 versions.
Check out this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=515824 - Sparkienl has uploaded some great kitchens. Most of them (in the first post) are Kitchens, with a specific build of WinMo.
I'm using ervius' kitchen which makes it really, really easy to remove anything un-necessary.
Cooking / building is a lot easier than most people think and IMO that's probably one of the best threads to get started in.
Thanks! Can I use someone else's ROM as a base?
dont put garbage in your roms ! UNUSELLES STUFF MAKES EVERY ROM UNUSABLE !
well...it seems that after hundreds of tested roms,it is impossible to find nice and clean vanilla rom...
every cooker here makes a good ROM at a start....and then...puts a lot of garbage inside. It seems that they have contest "who will put much garbadge inside rom"..
reverting back to old good shipped Microsoft...
It seems it is only usable solution left.
i'm considering flashing a WinMo 6.5 rom with sense 2.5
which is the most reliable and the fastet one out there with GTX theme?
Should i go with Energy ROM?
sry but I don't understand the whole sense, MaxManila and Cookie home tab
so any help will be greatly appreciated
thanx in advance
I wouldn't go for Energy, the battery life is horrible, I even got a new battery.
then which one do u recommend??

haqhahahahaqhahahahahahahahahhahahhahahhwahwhwahwahwahwah
ROTFLOL
i downloaded Energy Gtx rom 21905 build
but i want to remap the volume up/down to adjust volume
i tried to search but i couldn't find any help
By the way, I use Energy ROM gtx aswell and my battery life is fine! Usually 2,5 days before I have to recharge.
@wesjeex3 Energy's battery is fine, maybe the problem is with your rom, or you're forgetting something running in the background?
Which is the best rom WITHOUT Sense? I find in not that usable and i'm not so much into eyecandy... Valkyrie was fine, but got some bugs...
I'm on Valkyrie Firestorm and using GTX.
i have been messing around with energy for a couple of hours and till now it works fine it impresses me most of the time with some features so i guess its fine except the volume control thing i can't control volume any help?
Ok, then I'll reflash it. The cause I flashed another ROM was because the one who wanted to call me, get my voicemail.
Jack V5.X
For me the best Sense ROM for X1 is the one from jackleung. I use his ROMS since Jack 3.X, that was WM 6.1.
SPIKY'S Roms, 1000000% fast and stable. flash it and you wont regret.

There was a member called WildKID (u know whom i am taklng about) he had a ROM that was superb..sense 2.5 with WINMO 6.5..i have a kovisimg.nbh..if u want it
Wild Child probably...
I don't really like these kind of threads, but I consider stickying one, best with a rather neutral title, so all opinions, experiences, feedback, performance hints,... to all roms related can be collected in one single thread and not in 200 as it is now, either extend this or maybe this here w/o restriction to sense and gtx
opinions pls, either as pm or post (which will be deleted later on to keep the thread clean and on-topic)
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
it'd be a great idea to extend this post rather every1 starting there own thread
if all reviews and info about ROMs r in one place, people will only have to search and read
Wild Child untamed v1.3 kikcs ass!!
Thumb's Up for Wildchild's untamed 1.3 ROM,it proven itself to be absolute rock solid for me!
** EDIT: Im sorry didnt read the title properly,
!No GTX on the rom, but if you need reliability go for this rom!***
Let's put it this way, I need a phone that is reliable to me, it should wake me up in the morning! So i really can't use those overnight freezes.
I need to be able to charge the phone whenever its needed without risking any unexpected SOD's.
I need it to have a fingerfriendly OS, so i really needed a WM6.5 rom.
with Htc SenseUI! All Sense2.5 Roms and most sense2.1 Rom's caused my phone to freeze while charging overnight, or leaving WIFI connected.
Flashing Wildchilds rom whas such a relieve(Winmo6.5+Sense2.1+SE Panels+plenty of storage to add whatever you like!)
To bad SE didnt build this rom themself as an upgrade. It revived my Xperia to a kickass phone and kept it that way for at least the last five months.
Good luck,
Jeffrey

I think that he does own a CDMA phone.
Not sure what is the reply about CDMA?
Anyway, can anyone help about figuring out how to choose a WM 6.5. buid, is there any review / comparaison out there?

To see if you have a CDMA device, look underneath the battery. There will be a model number in the form of RHOD100, RHOD210, et cetera. Tell us which one is on your device.
WM6.5.5 development is all but dead. There is some continuing development on 6.5.3, though. My advice would be to just pick a few that you like and flash them until something sticks.
I must admit I am dissapointed from those fantastic cooked ROMs.
I have tested a lots of ROM. Almost all of them look amazing but after short period of time I found important issues. Starting with cool themes - black icons and black wallpaper which could not be reader outside building and ending with super functionality, but very slow system responses.
Finally, I use stock ROM with two HTC fixes - one for SMS stability and second for speakerphone issue (all for S2).
Stock ROM is good. The only issue is speed.
Sorry I did not realize that you were asking about my phone, it is a CDMA.

Here's an entire thread dedicated to CDMA ROMs. XDA is ok, but PPC Geeks does more stuff with CDMA than XDA. XDA generally has more to do with GSM.
