Vodafone ROM on Cingular Treo 750

I downloaded the Vodafone NL rom update for the 750, and i put it on the memory card as instructed, however, when it flashes, which takes about 30 minutes, when I hard reset as I am instructed to do (in Dutch), the vodafone rom seems to have taken effect because of the theme and the different initial settings when setting up the device, but in the device information, it says 1.13-CNG instead of 1.15-VFE. I am trying to switch to the Vodafone ROM to correct some bugs that are going on with the Cingular ROM, and I used the Nextgen Server to unlock the phone (and supposedly CID unlock as well).. any help would be appreciated!

How is your treo now, i have got treo cingular, and want to flash it with vodafone one, did you find it better, or stay with cingular?

I flashed it on my cingular Treo 750, it work fine and more stable than before!

In treocentral a guy replied me that the following features are also prsent in vodafone one:
1- Direct dialing from the today screen (lookup field)
2- The customized right softkey (menu)
3- Photo today speed dial (I know it is present in 750v also)
4- when u missed a call, u get an option to callback or dismiss.
5- When u dial an unkown number, u get the option to add to contacts or copy and add.
6- Threaded SMS messaging
7- searching for contacts from messages editor.
8- keyguard program.
Did you miss any feature that was in cngular ROM and not present in Vodafone ROM other than those specified? and apart from the stability, what about the fastness, is vodafone ROM faster than the cingular?
Lastly, I noticed that the cingular ROM sometimes miss some missed calls ad i have to go to cal log to verify the missed calls, di u experience such a problem in vodafone ROM?

All of them are included in Vodafone Rom,It's faster than before, but the SMS restore feature, I still not success, when backup the SMS ftom O2 Hermes, it can success restore, but there are no any SMS in the inbox?

I am in the same boat as you. I think the problem is that the Voda rom is not digitally signed for our device. I'm not sure though.

Apart from the ROM version in settings menu, did you find your rom is tottaly changed to vodafone and all of cingular cutomization has disappeared? do you advise me to upgrade too? thanx

After flashed the Vodafore Rom, version is the same with you (TREO750-1.13-CNG), it totally change to Vodafore, but you Must hard reset after flash!
May I know is the hardware have any different with Vodafore?

According to Palm's Windows Mobile dev guide there is a slight difference in the radio between the Treo 750 and the Treo 750v.

What about Simlock after ROM flash?

Hy guys.
I have installed the Touch-IT Xperien 3.5 rom to my SE Xperia.
Because I don't have a simcard of another network I can't test whether my phone is sim locked or not.
Is the simlock active after rom flash?

Mine is..
I've also installed the Touch-IT 3.5 WWE (and many others before), but the simlock remains.

Simlock remains. It's a function of the SIMM, not the phone.

i got an x1 phone, put in my sim card, locked, please enter code ... okay, first of all i try to save all my contacts from my old phone (slooow)
so, in the meantime, i flashed a custom rom to my x1 (Dynamics_GTX_2.4.5_WWE_Kovsky.nbh)
and now i cant use the phone to call, but i don't get any msg regarding to the sim-lock.
i also cant find it somewhere in the menu.
i already bought the unlock code, but dunno where to enter.
can some one help me? i am completely nuts because i stayed up all night long...
sry for my bad language, completely exhausted
/edit/ i forgot to save the original rom, so i think i would need the original AUSTRIA A1-Mobilcom ROM.
but all links i found on google are down - could i use a rom for a X1i too?

Problem with Email

Hi all
Since i made a hardreset i have the following problem.
Normaly when you check your emails ,the phone ake a wifi(if connected) or GPRS/3G connection autmaticly.
Since my last hardreset the phone dont do this anymore and i need to change allways the seetings in the email accound settings.
Have anyone the same problem? it is a bad bug and one more hardreset doesnt repair it.

guys ...
few month ago i had instaled HTC ROM ... and it's working on my X1i ...
but i think it little bit slowly ...
then now i want to restore it into my original X1i rom ... i had download it from rapidshare ... i format my micro sd card ... then copy it on it ...
then i flash it ...
but i can't boot it ... just stop in SE logo ...
anyone can help me to turn my X1i back ...
please ...

Try to flash another official ROM, i.e. a previous version (R2AA, R1AA) or just connect to SEUS and let it flash your X1

i have same isue
after installing windows 6.5 i cannot use TOMTOM in my fone always hang and neeed to remove battery and plug it back again
and on right top task bar icon is not appearing and due to this i cannot close or end any application
want to roll back to original ROm and i didnt figure out on net
if possible can you email me the link on masimk3 at h o t m ai l. c o m

I'll try to help :
1. Unpack the file you've downloaded.
2. Rename the file (without quote) to "kovsimg.image" or "kovsimg.nbh" and make sure it's not "kovsimg.image.image" nor "kovsimg.nbh.image"
3. Copy the file to your micro SD card.
4. Turn off your device and release the battery for few seconds then turn it on again, bring i to boot-loader mode by by holding the "volume down" button on the right, and holding the power on button until you see the tri-color screen. Just follow the onscreen instruction. I believed you have known this method, otherwise you can read this.
5. If you don't have a plan to flash custom ROM again, restore to stock SPL. Find it and read the instruction here.
Just do search my friend, you'll find the answer.....

It is not the same issue. You have a compatibility software issue, that is normal since you are running a beta ROM or a software that was not designed to run on WM6.5. Knukle89 has a ROM issue, i.e. his phone doesn'e even turn on.

i have 6.5 on here but my mms does NOT work. ive been trying everwhere to fix it, i dont know how. im so in need to fix it please. i have tmobile. what to do?! i keep hearing about the mms.msg.eng.tmobile.com/mms/wapenc

Here are my working settings for T-Mobile MMS
First under Connections
Create a new connection named "T-Mobile MMS"
Under the Modem Tab press New
The name the modem "MMS" and it is a cellular Line(GPRS,3G) press next
access point name: "epc.tmobile.com" press next
press finish
now you can press ok and it should take you back to the connections settings
Goto MMS Settings under messaging
goto the servers tab
Make a new setting
Server Name: "T-Mobile MMS"
Gateway: "216.155.165.50"
Port Number: "8080"
Server Address: "http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms"
Connect via: "T-Mobile MMS"
Send Limit: "300K"
WAP Version: "WAP 2.0"
Now press Done
Then highlight the setting you created and then press "Set As Default" button
Click Ok
Now power cycle your device
That's All

are u sure? i think mine doesnt work bc i have the original. not a custom rom. europe 6.5 version...it still will work..ive been trying all not. i greatly appreciate u writing back thanks! what version do u have, im so confused with all this cook rom stuff. idk what it means. just that i got 6.5 on there. but ima try now and tell u what happens.

Those settings will work just fine. I use unlocked Windows Mobile devices all the time with T-mobile and never have a problem. Also you can substitute wap.voicestream.com for epc.tmobile.com. Some people find it works better depending on the data plan you have. On my Rhodium I'm using 28014 Energy ROM with MaxManilla. Also please stop posting in the developer section. You will get an answer just give it time or ask the question in the general section.

Go back under the connections under settings then edit the T-Mobile MMS you created
go back to the part for the modem
then edit the access point to "wap.voicestream.com"
then save, restart the device and try again. Chances are you have an older data plan that does not support the new access point properly.

After you install it then soft reset your device.

k all i did was downlaod that cab u said and when i installed then rest and tried to send the pic again it didnt even try..it went straight to unable to send. now what?

OK now go back through and check all the settings and make certain they are all correct. Also make certain that no new settings have arisen. If you find some new settings let me know what they are and I will see what I can do.

so i installed that and reset and it must have changed my stuff..

Also did you configure your device for internet? If not then make a new connection and set the access point to "epc.tmobile.com" then use that instead of "T-Mobile MMS" for the connect via part. It will eliminate the need to switch between access points when you have an open data connection.

still unable to send it says, after i put that cab in,installed it reset my phone..told u my settings were changed when i reset it..u said change it to tmobile mms...then reset tried to send again and got the same dumb message lol..whats going on...i had the wap.voicestream.com in there and it didnt workthen triedthe epc.tmobile.com and sent a pic and it didnt work..whats wrong with it? is it because i have a europe version 6.5...everyone has these custom roms...my energy and all this other stuff...idk...

I'm not really certain. I can do a little research in the morning and see what I can come up with. I may just have to flash what you have and see. I know that the energyRom series works very well if you want to try a custom rom. I use them on my personal Touch Pro 2. Now with them I have found that after it does the automatic configuration for T-mobile you will have to apply that cab file to be able to send MMS properly.
Use the search tool and see if you can find a similar situation to what you are describing under the rhodium section. I have not come across this situation but someone else may have.
Here is one solution I just found using the search. Give it a try it may work for your situation.

ok well i just dont know how to flash ones that are custom again..i wa shaky trying the 6.5 in the first place...can u tell me step by step again what i have to do..id rather use them and use the cab file and it work then have this europe copy that no one has cab files for bc everyones using custom ones..idk which custom energy rom to use...whats the differecen in them..i seemthem all on this forum. which should i pick..ima girl so i wanna cute one ...lol if u can help me..and do i needa hard spl again when i already did the first time or can i just flash the rom without hard spl.
