Ok I ripped this from my Stock Alltel 6.1 TP Rom tracked down the files and reg entries and cab'd it all up.... I installed the cab on my TP now using SilenceMighty Rom and it functions perfectly.
I don't have or personally know anyone on another carrier to test it so I don't know if it will work on other carriers...
City ID, an application from Cequint, features information on more than 20,000cities in North America, providing enough detail to be useful identifying numbers calling from both across town and across the country
City ID service will automatically display the city and state where an incoming phone number is registered, providing additional information to help Verizon Wireless customers recognize unknown numbers
Installed on Verizon Samsung i760 w/ WM6.1. Programmed installed - I can look up numbers in the app, but it does not show location on incoming call or call history.
Ideas?
Ok, I will look into it on my friends Verizon Samsung i760. Give me a day or so

I have a Imagio and it comes with this program, but it is a trial version. Is there a way to bypass that or will the above mentioned cab work without a paid registration?

Never mind.
I'm having some issues with my settings. Can a fellow Non-Sprint Hero owner help me out with some EPST settings?
For those who don't know, here's how you get them:
1- Call ##3282#..... The EPST Menu will come up.
2- Press "View"..... You will be given 3 menu selections: Data Profile, EVDO, Advanced.
Can someone go through those and let me know what their settings are?
Please, omit values you think are personal (like ESN #)
Thanks!
I in no way intend to commit fraud and/or try to connect to a cdma network that does not allow my phone to be connected. The is me asking someone with knowledge if you know how to or can point me in the right direction about how to change/or zero out my esn and imei numbers. I know the is illegal and i know some people on here dont condone this but i would like to know how just for educational purposes i dont see why it cant be permitted. I know it can be done so please dont insult me buy saying it cant be. I have done extensive research upon this matter i know you need the htc diag divers i know you need qxdm and i know you also need cdma workshop.I have all these My only porblem is i cant get the diag drivers to work and i cant get cdma workshop to connect to a com port. So i am stuck and if it helps i have a hero rooted with cm6 2.2 rom. Please Maybe someone can get with me off fourm with this if this really is a touchy subject. Just pm me. Hope to get some good news.
If you flash a 2.1 rom that has sense and dial a certain number into the dialer I think you view everything you want to. At least I think so. I don't know what the code is off hand.
Ok so my rom its the problem ok that's good I just flashed to a 2.1 rom and I think that number is ##3432# but it didn't work

Here's some codes for the hero that I know of. There may be more?
##786# <-- Forgot the name for this one.....
##3424# <--DM Mode
##3282# <--EPST Menu
*#*#4636#*#* <--- Testing Menu
##775# <---Update PRL file
i think the one you want is ##786#. There are certain apk's in the sense ROMs that are used to access these features.
Ok that ##786# worked but when I go to reset it says password what's that password?

the password is your MSL
How do I get the msl code
Sent from my HERO200 using XDA App
call sprint or follow this guide > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=689470&highlight=msl+code
Worked like a charm now if I go to the ##786# and go to reset and put in the msl code what happens? can I change my esn?

I thought there were these 2 options, View and Edit. You would want Edit. And I think you can Edit the things in there.
##3282# <--EPST Menu, thats the one your talking about unCoRrUpTeD i was talking about the ##786# press menu and it says reset but i found out that it just resets it to the default and nothing more
im only posting this link for educational purposes and what you do with this info is on you, i think if you follow this guide you can reverse the same process with other phones, well in my theory, as long as its 2.1.
NOTE- this only works for 2.1 so for now 2.2 is a different story and so on and so forth
This is your holy grail- please dont commit fraud or any other illegal activities i only wanted to know this to expand my knowledge of these wonderful devices and im pretty sure you do to because who wouldn't, i think if you wanna know something you should be able to. After all its about open source right? Thank you all for your support and xda without you i would be lost.
One more thing- in the how to guide below, it says to run cdma workshop for the msl code i personally would follow the method with alogcat as posted in this forum its just too easy.

PS-if this link goes dead for some reason, i have a back up and will email provided you pm me.
after i do this i will flash to a different rom like 2.2 and see if the zeroed out esn and imeid are the same or if it just resets to the original esn and imeid and i will probably end up re-writing this (how to) in the link above and in the coming future and it will be STEP-BY-STEP-BY-STEP trust me i got you all, and with pics too.
I've looked everywhere on this forum and google trying to find a way to get into the manual programming (like you would on any other phone, to edit the min, mdn etc) Just wondering if anyone knew the way to do this on the US Cellular Samsung Galaxy S i800 Tab? Thanks in advanced!
I am also looking for a way into the manual nam programming for mine.
Hi I am new to XDA...have been searching around for a way to "unhide" the MMS APN settings on the Verizon HTC m8 windows edition...have found a bunch of places that the HideMMSAPN=00000000 is to blame for it but am unable to find any tutorials or anything on what to do to get it back...can anyone point me in the right direction or provide a "noob-proof" tutorial for a first time Windows Phone user? Thanks in advance!!!
