microsoft does not make an activesync client for the mac.
You can check out the Missing Sync (by markspace), or Pocket Mac. I tried both, preffer the missing sync.

Here is good news
http://www.markspace.com/missingsync_windowsmobile.html
New version of the Missing Sync will be release in June.
Personally, I tried both and did not like any
I hope the new Missing Sync will do the job
Hi,
I would suggest PocketMac. I've been using the app for just over a year, as I previously had a dell axim before my SPVM2000. THe software works great and just needs you to connect your pocket pc via bluetooth, usb or wifi and it'll happily sync and install software any time you want it to.

Driver for Internet Sharing for XP

Hi,
I have installed a modded WinXP version in my netbook that have many MS default drivers striped.
I'm on vacation and trying to use my Diamond Internet Sharing to access internet...But it ask for a "RDIS" driver i guess and dont recognize the device as a modem.
Do you know where can i find this driver to connect my Diamond as a 3G modem with WinXP?
Thanks a lot...

I think ActiveSync is the only way...
Not according to FinchSync.
FinchSync is a tool for synchronizing contacts, appointments and tasks from Mozilla email and calendar products with a Pocket PC or SmartPhone.
...
ActiveSync is not needed (and not available for Mac OS or Linux anyway), but the Pocket PC must be able to connect to the PC via TCP/IP. This can be done using a WLAN connection for example. If this requirement is fulfilled, synchronization can be done from everywhere, even over the internet. The HTTP protocol is used for the communication between PC and Pocket PC. This should work even in firewall-protected environments.

But does it include the Remote NDIS-driver?
Why don't you email the author ([email protected]) and ask him?

Hello,
You must install Zune software to connect WP7 to PC.
Without this you cannot sync anything.
Thanks,
Santos
I installed Zuna but it don`t sync e mails
Email sync is a separate thing - go to settings -> email and accounts, and add the details of your email config.
Use your live.com account to collect your emails. in outlook set up a "hotmail connector" account using your live ID and ta da!
I did this to collect emails and sync my calendar/contacts via outlook to my phone. This has the added advantage of not needing to plugged in to sync as your phone will just check the live.com account for updates every now and then.

^^^
its in your HD7 not in Zune
: )
Also, is this EXACTLY like iPhone where if I connect to two different systems, the data is wiped..>??
No, i connect my HD7 to my Home comp running win 7 & my work laptop running XP. My data is retained on both systems, and nothing is wiped from either comp or my phone

[SOLVED] Sync with Microsoft Outlook?

I've downloaded LG PC Suite and was going to sync my contacts and calendar with Outlook, but then I can't check the box where it says sync with Outlook. Anyone having the same problem?
It's never been a problem before, when I had the SGS or the HTC Desire HD.
Edit: It pops up with something saying that I don't have a email program that can sync with LG PC Suite. But I do have Outlook, and it's full of contacts and appointments that I need to sync.
Why don't you use the exchange sync with the email program (over wifi/data?)
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App
I don't think he have an Exchange server - might be a local sync on his computer he needs.

No I don't have an Exchange server. I'm was thinking of just doing what I'm used to with HTC and Samsung, transfer my contacts and appointments from Outlook through PC Suite.
If i'am not mistaken than you can do the following.
First start LG PC suite
Then select the Contacts
In the left bottom corner you wil see Settings.
If you select this you can check and oncheck your outlook contacts and calendar.
hopefully this wil work

Yes, I see the checkbox, but it's not possible to click on it. And PC Suite says that I don't have a email program and that if I do have I need to connect it in standardprograms i the control panel.
Edit: By the way, I have Office Home & Business 2010. I've read something about this "click and run" option. Don't know what that is though. Maybe that's why LG PC Suite doesn't find Outlook?
Edit2: Solved! I supposed it was because the "click and run" option. I uninstalled it and then it worked
Hello VistaX, I have the same problem. PC Suite (v.4.3.17....) does not allow me to check the outlook sync option.
??? Where did you find and then uninstal the "click and run" option from ?
Was it somewhere in outlook or in PC Suite or in a phone ?
Advice, please.
I have solved my impossibility of syncing Outlook 2010 via LG PC Suite. by using MyPhomeExplorer - it is free on the Market.
LG PC Suite is forgotten - and uninstalled for ever.

There is also another, and as I think more elegant way:
sync Outlook with Google contacts and calendar.
There is a great tool available, called Gsyncit, which will do this. It costs 20$, but I think it is worth it. When configured properly, it automatically syncs Outlook with Google, wich will sync with you phone. You don't have to do anything manually anymore. You don't have to connect your phone to your PC everytime to sync your data and you can alway access your data from everywhere via browser, even if you don't have your phone by hand.
And now, I am not the programmer of this. I only think these are some of the most useful bucks, I have ever spent
You have free tools from google to sync google account and outlook.
I am using mobisynapse, it synches tasks, notes, calendar, contacts with Outlook and it works fine for me.

[Q] HTC Sync Manager and Outlook 2013 64-bit version

Trying to sync Contacts and Calendar with Outlook, but it fails with the following error: Unable to sync. Please reconnect your device. [1016]. I must point out that I can sync anything else like music, videos, pictures and bookmarks, but not contacts and calendar. Sync completes normally if those are not included. Here's the system info:
OS: Win 8 64-bit
HSM version: 2.0.52.0
Outlook version: 2013 64-bit
I'm assuming that the problem is with the running of the 64-bit version of Outlook (the same as in iTunes), although the HTC web site is stating that the 64-bit version of the Outlook is supported.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?
yes, exact same problem. HTC say outlook 2013 not supported

I've contacted HTC to find out, but according to their web site below it supposed to be supported:
http://www.htc.com/au/software/htc-sync-manager/?section=Requirement
Same issue as well. I was hoping there'd be something on this.
Possible solution...
Ran into the same '1000' error after trying to setup my music, pictures, and files to sync to Outlook 2007 (albeit 32-bit version). When I was doing this one of the last things I tried doing was setting up the 'Files' tab to sync my documents over to my HTC One. I didn't like the way it put the files on the phone, so I removed all the folders from the application. However, I failed to turn off the 'Sync documents from the following locations on this computer' checkbox. The next time I tried syncing (a few days later), I got the '1000' error. I tried doing lots of things, searching the web, to no avail. When I turned this option off (since there were no folders listed in the display), I was able to sync without receiving the error. I turned the option for the Files back on (again without any folders specified to sync), I got the '1000' error again. So now it's off and I've had no issues syncing since.
Hope this helps.

The problem got fixed with the latest HTC Sync release (now 2.1.54.0). If it doesn't work with the latest release than it would mean that HTC does not provide backward compatibility with earlier versions of Windows OS or Office 2007. Check with HTC what is still supported.

I have checked with the latest software update and didn't help. On the internet you can find that it's not depend on a platform because to many various times and configurations happened. Finally I have installed and done what I want using the Android Sync Manager WiFi. You have to google for newest executable version because homepage download is not working.
