[Q] Install ROM from SD V: 2.1 Eclair - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello guys, im just wondering if it's possible to install ROM from an SD card without the use of connecting phone to PC via USB as i think my USB port in the phone is broken, it can only charge and not function properly, PC doesn't recognise the device.
Thanks

Copy rom to sd card
Copy rom from sd card to internal sd card flash should work .
Build rom in rom kitchin.

[Q] External SD card not visible on PC Voodoo-stable-5.1-Froyo-2.2.1

Hello,
I can not see the external sd card on my windows PC.
I can see the internal sd card as a drive and i have read write access on my win PC (XP/ prof and win7 prof)
I can see the external sd card as a drive but cannot see any files or folders.
connected USB cabel
select mass storage device
not possible to connect USB to PC via dialog (no notification is vissible in notification bar)
reconnect usb cable
Now it is possibel to connect USB to PC via upcoming dialog on phoneselect mass storage device Message box comes up telling that some apps may not work because they have access to sd card
After disconnecting the phone from PC I cannot access the external SD card on my phone until reboot of phone.
I can access the the external sd card using a card reader on my PC.
I think I got these problems since flashing Voodoo-stable-5.1-Froyo-2.2.1-GT-I9000
Firmware Version 2.2
Baseband I9000XXJPP
Kernel 2.6.32.9
I tried to format the sd card with the phone - no changes.
Best regards and thanks in advance O
I have the exact same problem, when I connect with usb cable to my win 7 x64 system using the mass storage option, at first I do not connect at all, then I have to remove the usb cable once, after that I can connect but only see the sd card on the phone itself, the external sd card is invisible.
When I remove the usb cable I am also unable to see the external sd card on the phone itself and I have to restart my phone in order to see it again.
My proplem is solved. By error I installed the voodoo 5.1. on Froyo 2.2 . But it should have been installed on Froyo 2.2.1 as mentioned in the filename of the zip file. I thought froyo 2.2.1 is included in the voodoo update.

[Q] After flashin miui rom for my galaxy s,It says Sd card damaged

Hello,
After installing the miui rom 1.6 for my phone,i can't access my sd extern card,so i flashed the last rom from darkyrom the 10.1 version,it work excellent but still it says sd card damaged, what should i do?? :'(
i have so many data on it :'(
Pleaaaase help :'(
Well, have you tried it in an external reader? If you have none for microSDs, ask someone to lend you his / her adaptor.
If it can't be read by your reader, there are special SD data recovery tools you can find online - they will acces the card low level, and can probably read at least some data.
