Toggling Automatically Between Input Methods with a Bluetooth keyboard - Galaxy Tab Accessories

Hi All.
I have a Bluetooth keyboard for my Tab, which requires that the stock keyboard is selected. However, I prefer Swiftkey for my on screen keyboard. Is there an app that will automatically switch between them on connection and disconnection? I've looked at a few automation apps on the market but haven't found anything suitable.
Any of you lovely people got any suggestions?

Good question, I also would like this.
Sgs Vibrant ::
Bionix 1.3.1
Dragon kernel v5 1.4oc
Voodoo lagfix, sound, color
Sg Tab [Tmo] ::
Overcome v1.2.3
1.4oc kernel
Voodoo lagfix, sound

You would think the bluetooth software would do this, instead of putting up warning messages, wouldn't you!

Yes, doesn't seem very logical by samsung... Maybe use tasker on the market will give option to switch? I can't test on my tab atm as I'm getting my cracked screen replaced.

Alas there is no option in Tasker. Anyone out there fancy creating an app?
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App

Dang, I was really hoping that would work... As you said we might need a custom app

I'm using "null keyboard" with mine, gives you a blank kb and has a widget to change input. No sense in having a kb take up half the screen if you're usin a bt kb.
Sent from the Tab

Bluekeyboard its suposed to be automatic, but i heard bqd stuff about it and i went with null keyboard and i'm pretty hapy with it

Thanks! Will give it a go!

the dev of thumb keyboard said he would do this but hasnt yet

[Q] Galaxy S GT-i9000M Wake Delay

I've had this problem on pretty much any Froyo build I've installed (tried Doc's, Darkys, etc).
When I press a button (power or home) to wake the phone up, I get a 10 second delay before the lock screen appears. The only time I don't get this delay is when the phone is charging: in that case, it wakes up instantly.
I tried using SetCPU, but it didn't make any difference for me.
I've followed the install steps to a T, and I still get this. This never happened on my Captivate (I have both), and I've flashed numerous ROMs without any problems on the Captivate.
Any thoughts?
As a side note, the ROMs are usually very fast and smooth. I'm currently on Darky's Legendary Steel ROM, v4.0 and aside from the wake up lag, the ROM is very smooth and fast, and this is without having applied any lagfix (used his SpeedMOD version). This is what makes the delay I'm experiencing all the more confusing.
Its a kernel bug, although I thought all the devs had it fixed on froyo.
Try another kernel

Thanks I'll give that a shot. Do you have a particular kernel you know for a fact doesn't have that bug?
Try one from hardcore

Tried two from Hardcore, neither of them have fixed the problem. I'll keep trying others.
Does a stock rom do this?

No, stock ROMs work just fine.

I was posting from my Captivate, but this issue is with my i9000. I have both phones.

I'm stuck..please please help.

So I mistakenly installed the i9000 voodoo lagfix kernal.......problem is.no voice calls on my phone. I'll tell what state my phone is currently in, and where i'd like to be, and any help i can get would be greatly appreciated.
Current State:
Firmware Version 2.2
Baseband Version I897UCKB1
Kernel Version 2.6.32.9
Build number Froyo.UCKB1
Phone build 1006
rooted/shell rooted/market enabled with SuperOneClick
I disabled the voodoo lagfix but still have the I9000 kernel apparently (splash screen and no voice calls)
Where I want to be:
Stock Froyo
Rooted (which I know how to do)
Voodoo Lagfix built on captivate kernel, not I900 (because I like to talk on my phone)
That's all I want. Odin1click seems to not want to work for me anymore, unless I'm apparently doing something wrong in my method of operation.
I cannot seem to find a stock Froyo rom? Maybe I just don't know how to search the forum, because I can't ever seem to find anything very easily.
Please someone help me, this is my only phone, and I had to borrow a laptop for the night, to fix my phone.
well........nevermind, imagine, after a giant pitcher of amberbock and a shot.......
first thing i do when i come home is get the correct kernel with voodoo lagfix installed
wtf. no more I9000! So I think I got to where I wanted all by myself, well i mean I didn't make all the oneclicks but you guys know what I mean!
edit: i did a quadrant, I feel I have the stock kernel installed but not lagfix as my quadrant is only 900 something? doesn't seem right cosidering
i was close to 1800 before on i9000 *sigh* Still would like to find a stock ATT FROYO rom Just in case
Quadrant means nothing. I ran two benchmarks one after each other with the same setup and got 900 and 1500. It only looks big when you compare it.

Just look for the voodoo folder. If it is there then it is installed. As for your scores that seems about right for a stock Tom, the i9000 Tom's will always be faster as they are more updated

Well its there just dunno if its from before. Also before whem I rebooted into recovery I would go into a 2nd screen that was red that would let me enable or disable lagfix.....doesn't happen now.....dunno if I really care though cuz at least I can talk on my phone now lol....anyone know if supercurio is working on voodoo sound built on captivate 2.2?

Yeah that was for the universal lag fix. Not voodoo. As long as it is there and no disable lag fix folder then you are good. It would not have carried over as the stock flash wiped it when you flashed the update. Not sure if he is as he doesn't have the device. And they are building kernals on more updated stuff then 2.2. Only time will tell if he does. I am more looking coward to the 2.3 port lol

(Q) I897 Cognition 4.1.1, can I have KB1 modem and voodoo sound control?

Ok. Running stock Cognition 4.1.1. The KB1 modem is da s**t on my particular phone/network. Added 2 bars to reception, dl increased ten percent, gps takes 25 sec or so to lock, but tracking is perfect and accuracy consistent 16 ft (in a thunderstorm!)
Question is what other kernels and/or roms are FULLY compatible with this modem, and specifically are there any compatible kernels that allow the sound control portion of voodoo app to function??
Thanks in advance and especially thnx to ALL the devs for their more than awesome work.

Voodoo sound works on this...
Thanks for pointing me to the right thread. After reading that the kb1 source finally dropped and designgears is hard at work again, maybe I'll wait and see what's up with sound in cog 4.2 when it drops. Anyway, whatever I decide this is just the info I wanted. Thanks again!!!

Gingerbread differences

I upgraded to gingerbread but dont notice some of the gui visual differences. Anyone else notice this too?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA Premium App
Theres not much changed in the graphics itself. More underlying stuff has been changed.
For me the most important things are greatly improved battery life and properly working gps (quick fix). There are others reporting faster and more responsive overall user experience.
Its really worth to upgrade to 2.3

Mines a hell of a lot faster with Gingerbread... Love it, would recommend the upgrade...
Mines a p1000t, aussie telstra version. Has same modem as the A,T&T version in the states...
Rogers sgt p1000. I waz hoping for alot of the gui graphical updates in gingerbread.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA Premium App
Search tab forumn gingerbread has ALOT of bugs. Threads and threads with pages and pages.
Wait till oc/uv and a more stable kernel. Current kernel is a mix between tab software with a sgs driver. Because samsung hasnt released source code yet. Gingerbread isnt officially out in the us or most of the world for the tab.
An interesting note on gingerbread. Drop your lcd density to 165 and some stock icons upgrade to a totally different icon. Example is phoneicon.

If you want to change the GUI of your Tab, I suggest that you try out some launcher apps. LauncherPro for example, you can easily change how the homescreen looks.
Or if your open to custom ROM's, I suggest that you keep a close eye to the development of Overcome ROM. They are beginning to customize the GUI of the ROM, as well as optimization tweaks for the whole device.
Thanks for all of your answers

[Q] Voodoo APP

Hey!
I installed this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959282
onto my Nexus S and I liked it VERY much, such a different from the original one.
But then I saw a thread on XDA-forums, this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002090
And I want it like that!
But I can't find that app on the market, so that's why I'm asking here!
I got one app called Voodoo Control on my phone, it was preinstalled when I installed the CM7.1, but it's not that app I meant because I can't change colours!
Btw, I'm a total NEWB to phones, it was such a struggle to even root the phone until I founnd that one-click root
I'll appreciate every answer I get!
You have to flash a kernel that supports the voodoo color control. Matr1x, Trinity, and Netarchy are some of the kernels that support it.
Flash one of those kernels then use that same pre-installed app and you'll see the option to change colors

As I said in my first post, I downloaded and installed this on my phone:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=959282
It got the matrix kernel 2.6.35.13
And I got a voodoo app pre-installed, but it's just for sound!
Check the voodoo app setting SMS make sure the kernel modules are loaded.

Are you using the i9023 Nexus S (with Super Clear LCD instead of Super AMOLED)? If so, then you can't use VOODOO color. The app recognises if you have LCD or AMOLED, so it removes the options for changing colors, because that's only available to AMOLED users.

Why didn't you import it? T_T
I wasn't aware of that when I bought it, otherwise I would've done it
Using Korean Nexus S, SHWM200S(aka baseband i9020kc1) with Super Amoled. Having issues with Voodoo control, it doesn't show color setting. Any suggestions?
