welcome back R2
OMGB and OMFGB are the two best ROM's I've run on my Incredible - and always the ones I go back to after I try others.

Glad you're here man. Really love OMFGB.

Welcome back bro.

Nice to see a gb rom with such a small size. Any chance on a gb sense port? I think you got the skills. Good to see you back dude!

[ROM] ShadowROM 0.2.2

Note: I am not the maintainer of this ROM.
Has anyone here installed and implemented ShadowROM 0.2.2 for every day use? I am curious as to how it performs, with stability and ease of use being two of the more important attributes. Please reply with your experience, and this post will be updated with any bugs or notable issues that appear systemic.
Download link: ROM Manager
Known Issues:
I installed it but didn't tried for daily use because (just like MIUI) the media scanner doesn't recognize pictures/music from emmc. It is based off CM6 so many of the features of that ROM are present here. The only "highlight" feature I noticed was an option to disable the bootanimation. They have a whole subforum at DroidForums so you can get more info here:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/shadowrom/
The announced they are going to split from CM6 source code, so it'll be interesting to see what stuff they come up with. Here is the thread where they make the announcement:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/shadowrom/93037-important-shadowrom-breaking-up-cm6-future.html
Cheers!
I ran this ROM for about 2 weeks strait and found very little problems with it. It has nice customization features like changing the notifications bar color and the drop down bar color along with the text color of notifications etc. It was very fast running Launcher Pro and great on battery (although I use SetCPU and underclock to save battery) running KK's AOSP BFS kernel.
Just like the above poster said tho about it not recognizing files on emmc is an obvious problem, tho it wasn't a major issue for me. Lot's of AOSP roms have problems in that area until they get fixes.
I'd say try it out, just nandroid first so you can go back if you don't like it.
So what's going on with this ROM now? Did it die or what?
The ROM Manager link for it doesn't work and the website offers no information.

Did they announce anything? Last I heard from them they were going to deviate from CM's code and do their next release from scratch with AOPS source code.

It works on my just fine. You just need to flash a custom kernel before boot up.

Same here. I ran this bad boy daily, on my OG Droid. Mos def was my favorite. They used to have a site, now it's just an index.
You can still get into the old forum even though its been delisted. http://www.droidforums.net/forum/shadowrom/110700-sooooo.html

Billygalbreath (one of the dev's of SR) turned his attention full time to application development jubefore Christmas. Shortly after Christmas InsaneNemesis (the other dev) informed me of his decision to discontinue further development of ShadowRom and that he would be returning the development phones to me. The reason being he wants to enjoy his last year of high school. Can't argue with that and I wish him the best. He was very absolute about unplugging and enjoying life. Insane used to idle in the Cyanogen irc channel but I haven't seen him there in at least two weeks.

They actually did get it working using one of Koush's kernels that had the required drivers. However, I'm not sure they publicly released that version.

[ROM] Liquid Nexusbread v.1.85 (please use the new thread for further comments)

hi,
first of all, i want to say that i am not the developer or related by any means to this rom.
I just accidently came across this rom and wanted to share the link to u guys.
Updates-
12.05.2011- v1.85 available through Rom manager.
06.05.2011- Liquid nexusbread ver 1.8
http://liquidsmoothroms.com/node/1
Been running this rom for several days and it's working flawlessly! Love all the options for changing color in the status/dropdown bar, etc. Not sure if these were implemented in CM7.0.2 or not. This rom is really nice, I happened across it on ROM Manager. Lot's of cool features/options and very fast.
I am downloading the rom as we speak. This is very exciting news!
EDIT: This is not the Liquid Metal Tom although I automatically assumed it was. This rom is very fast and the stock browser works almost flawlessly with flash content compared to other roms I've tried. I have my phone overclocked at 1440 Max with the performance governor and I am very impressed at how stable it is. The phone hasn't crashed yet! This might honestly be my daily driver.

I went to high school with the dev of this rom and it was originally made for my nexus s... until I swapped for a G2x. If you get a chance, send him some donations. He's unemployed and could use the support.

Has all the goodies of CM7 and more.
This is a really awesome rom. All of CM7 stuff, plus more. Definitely lots of good stuff here!
why is this posted in a droid/verizon forum? it also seems awful tiny for a rom that supposed to offer as much as cm7.....it's nearly half the size
Pics please
Can anyone post some pics?
Is this better than CM?

The dev had a Droid x and now has a thunderbolt. He made the rom for me but by the time he finished I exchanged my nexus s for a g2x. He's been doing roms for a long time now. Since the og Droid.

just got done with the CHANGES & CREDITS now i m gonna install it
I tried this a while ago. And it seemed nice. But it only had english as language. As i remember the download was only 57mb, so maybe the dev could ad the languages again. So this could be used.
THANKs
another GREAT ROM for Nexus S
Will this rom receive any updates in the future?
Sweet. Will have to try this out ... when I get my phone back from Samsung

This ROM has proven itself far superior to any i've used earlier. Its fluid fast with a exceptional battery life and so many options to mod the ROM.
The rom has been removed from Liquidsmoothroms.com. Maybe theres an update coming.
there are NO gapps included, just a heads up. I believe it said the latest gapps were installed

[Q] Looking for newer roms to flash

I'm currently running CM 7 on my HTC Hero CDMA, just wondering if there are any other current stable roms out there. Is the IHero or ICS currently stable right this moment or is it still being developed?
if you mean ICS, its still in developement, if you mean ICU, depends on which hospital you attend. just look in developement youll see them at the top of the list dude (if you are a dude) if not,,,look at the top of the list dude. theyre there, ive seen em... myself, i like the zerohero, very cool rom, very stable... later
zero hero is pretty epic, it runs pretty well, and teamheroc 7.2 is pretty good too, small and stable
Agreed sir on both accounts. If you like GB go with team hero, if you like Sense go with Zero. Later

New Roms
It all depends on what you like. If you want gingerbread go with team hero. If you like Sense, then go with the Zero Hero. There is also rom, Drew Faux ICS which isn't bad either. I personally like the Roms by Team Hydra.

(Teaser) State of Vivid Development...

While we have all (Dev's, Cooks, themers & tweakers) seen the initial woes of the newer ICS code & it's effect on easily porting mods over, things are starting to come together. Deodexing & decompiling was a bear, until you figured it out that is, & even then a bit more time consuming than usual.
However, In a few short days I will have a good piece of news for all, including developers & users regarding some of the most desired tweaks & mods.
I have been busy reaching out to a few of the really good developers & begging & bribing my way into getting participation & a really nice tool as well as several mods will become available in a day or two.
I don't want to say too much, I really want the dev to get the credit & honor of officially announcing the goodies.
I know as this post currently stands, it is not development. It will be though, & will be renamed to the Vivid Collaborative Effort & will serve as a central repository & wiki for modifications & tweaks that I am working to get done, either myself or through the gracious help of a few really great Dev's that are in other forums.
So, don't think I'm not doing anything
BTW, Wild Child may not know it yet, but he will be back & PG & BC are next. Then we'll all hold hands, sing Kumbayah, drink lots of KoolAide & get everyone working happily together, taking our frustrations out on SGS2 users instead of fellow Holiday thread participants.
ALSO, Please take a moment & let me know what mods or goodies you see in other sections & I will work on either doing them myself or work on getting some support from the mod/tool/theme/tweak creator.
Thanks!
Hey GSLEON, Homeslice made a kickass battery percent mod for the ICS rom that he has on Wildchild's site. Not sure if he has plans to share it here but it'd be cool to create a flashable zip for those that desire it.

Sense 4.0 would be great as opposed the Sense lite 3.6
The main thing I miss from the Inspire is the "tweaks" menu that was in a good number of ROMs. Like "RC Tweaks", "Virtuous tweaks, etc.
This is the kind of effort and leadership we need to get this development the momentum it needs. This is what XDA is about!
I would love to get the full HTC locations app as opposed to the footprints app. I like the premium navigation I purchased from HTC to work on Ics.
Can't wait to know what you got.
Keep up the good work!!!!

Capychimp has done fantastic work on ICS including the first port, would love to see his APM and Setting tab for notification bar.
Oh and the music player that allows sound enhancements over BT.
Cheers
Jeff
Oh GSLEON you tease. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
The main thing I'm looking for is tethering unlocked. And extended power and quick menu. But I know you've been working on those. Oh yeah and a sense 4.0 port.

Please put the stupid Wi-Fi shortcut that newer Sense has deleted back into the Quick Settings menu.. jeez what a stupid thing to do, removing it.

+1, pointless idea.
How about some cool themes for ics like the ones made for the HTC Sensation by the Elagancia team...if im spelling that right. They haved themed the hell out of the HTC sensation...can we get some of that action on the vivid?...oh and of course above everything else a sense 4.0 port. I like the sense 3.6 but when you compare it to sense 4.0, it's like sense 3.6 is about 20 years old...LOL
+1 on the sense 4 port
Also lovely post ;D Glad to hear things are going to come back together !
And might as well ask... Does anyone have good links for me to start developing? Tutorials and such would be lovely Always wanted to start but never had time and i think it would be fun

I have the slightest idea what "s-off" means if someone cares to explain that would be great. Sense 4.0 port would be major for the HTC Vivid..."with everything working of course" That could even raise the value of the handset itself...LOL
I don't get it. This device doesn't get the respect it deserves. The few roms we have to choose from are outstanding. And the hardware is up to par with other devices its age. Yeah we don't have s-off but as of now it's not needed.
To the devs supporting the vivid keep up the great work. Everything y'all do is greatly appreciated.

Team VeNuM JellyBomb Domination port sugestion

When I flashed the [Team VeNuM] JellyBomb Domination ROM on a friends Note II I was amazed. Best custom ROM I have ever seen. After talking to the developer and asking him if he had any Sprint HTC ONE ROM's, he said that he would be happy to have someone port it if they wanted to.
If any dev's are interested in porting Josh's [Team VeNuM] JellyBomb Domination ROM he has given permission..
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957773
Very interesting.... Might give a shot this weekend. I'm not claiming this though. Anybody who's interested is welcome obviously. Might pump out a build this weekend, we'll see.
That being said this would probably be a pretty hard port, with different screen size and whatnot. Especially from Sammy to HTC devices...

I would definitely be interested in seeing this up and running here. I have no experience with porting as of yet, but I do have a pretty comprehensive tut on porting from Post #3 of my Project Rookie II thread found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2292018
It is technically for a different device, but I believe the process is the same. I may give it a whirl as a diversion from the frustration of compiling errors on my Beanstalk 4.3 build for the m7spr...........if any one wants to collaborate, or has any suggestions to offer, I'm all ears...
I could be wrong because I don't know anything about porting or being a Dev, in my years on XDA, I've never seen a touchwiz rom ported to a phone other than samsungs. But a sense rom that looks like that would be awesome.
Sent from my HTCONE using Tapatalk 4
It's possible to do, but I can guarantee you that nothing would work unless you first ported a Touchwiz kernel to this device
Doing these things isn't easy, but it definitely is possible. See picture below
And yes, that's Sense 5 on my S3
There is a EvoLTE version of Jellybomb may be easier to port
It's ICS though
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1968559&highlight=jellybomb
Update: I will not be working on this. I'm just too dang busy with other stuff atm (high school student and athlete..)
Sorry. I bet eventually we will get at least stock ported over from that device someday. Also, if we get one, we will most likely get others as well
would be great to have jelly bomb on my htc one but doubt it will ever happen.. i ran it on my galaxy s3 when i had that device.. but its a Touch wiz rom not sense.. maybe we should try and port a kick a$$ sense rom.. would be much easier maybe android revolation rom... or trickdroid rom.. insert coin rom... clean rom
