I read about BADA OS developed by samsung . Are we going to see it go to Samsung galaxy tab ?? Anybody ?
Bada is samsungs operating system for low end phone so they can have some of the same feature that high end phones do. Basically a real low end operating system. You wouldnt want it on your tab, although they do have alot of games i want noe avaioable anywhere else.

This has nothing to do with the topic...
But,
The kbd layout is not designed well.
Theres no GPU to speak of.
Display is sub par to the Zio.
Its $200 more.
This threads purpose is to attract some more cricket smartphone users to the Zio. Can we stay on topic please?
I think it's great that the Zio is only $100 now, maybe more developers can help OpenZio development.

For my Mom, her eye sight is getting bad. She talks and texts something fierce but lately she been struggling to see her ancient T-Mobile's screen. No data package or fancy extra's needed.
What do you guys recommend?
This is the problem...T-Mobile does not really care about people like your mother
they do not offer that many choices for near/far sighted people.
Your best choice will be to cancel T-Mobile and get her a Gitterbug phone . They offer phones designed for people with limitations and in need of big numbers and big screens without the fancy data packages
maybe the Galaxy Note i717 with xtra large fonts?
T-Mobile mobile for your mom? Sounds like a fair swap
Nah, seriously, has anyone tried the accessibility setting on Android? I've not tried it myself and just wondered if it may be useful in this case.
Edit: I just tried it - forget about that! It's totally horrible and useless. I was expecting something akin to the magnifier on Windows, but it just vocalising what you're doing and not very well at that. Clicking an icon on my homepage told me "Workspace 2 of 3" (obviously my 2nd screen of 3 home pages). Pretty pointless.
Either what MTM said or a larger touch screen phone hacked to show all apps, screens, ect on the, largest font available. I'm, sorry I'm not, more help.

Happy Birthday HTC G1!
4 years ago today, you changed the world, you were different, new, strange and unknown, now though, your descendants see 1.3 million activations daily, you made others be careful, others arrogant. You made the PC sit up and beg, and brought the laptop to the poor.
We love you for everything you've done G1, and some of us still have one of you, you'll always be precious to us that do.

I had the feeling....good call sir.
sooo.. what now? we say happy birthday to people here or what?
I'm not referring to the normal multi-window provided through jelly bean 4.2 for the s3.
I'm referring to the ability to minimize, maximize and re size windows as shown in the screenshot below(of the note)

You sure thats the note and not one of the galaxy tabs? The res looks a bit high, and it seems more impractical than split screen on a 5.5".
Definatly from the note, that image is actually from xda-developers home page. Link below:

Thanks. I just got confused cause I thought you were talking about stock roms and this is actually a mod.
I still think it's unnecesary for a screen our size, but good luck!
great, good luck
This is a mod. Not how the note comes stock so until someone ports it or checks if its compatible. Or even creates it from scratch we won't have it unless Samsung makes it.

Wow that's a nice feature! However, unusable on the GS3 imho, due to smaller screen size. I even struggle to find a use for the new dual-window feature, I find quickly switching between apps more convenient (thanks to the 2gb ram ).
I wonder if it even really makes sense on the note... Surely a must on tablet though!

And as a former Galaxy Mini and current Galaxy Wonder user, I can confirm that 4.4's ART is simply buggy and horribly laggy to use, as expected from an unfinished product. The next major version should have a "complete" one.
the difference of speed is on armv7 i dont think that it will be fast for galaxy mini + i have an galaxy s4 octta core but on ART it overheat to much enough to cook an egg over it
From source can be compiled .
