Hello guys ,
When trying to install a theme i got bootloops . Hence i tried to restore my backup using CWM . I was on 2.3.3 . But the backup did`nt get restored , hence i downloaded the xxjvq 2.3.4 firmware , flashed it with odin , and the fone booted fine .
Now i wanted to root the 2.3.4 , i downloaded this file "CF-Root-XX_UNK_JVQ-v3.7-CWM3RFS.tar"
Flashed this with odin , and now the fone is not booting up :S . I can go into the download mode . I tried flashing the same xxjvq rom via odin , but now odin is giving me Fail .
Please help me out here
Hi,
May be the downloaded firmware is corrupted. That could be the reason its failing.
Try this link out (GingerReal - V7.1.4 JVQ) It has clear instructions how to flash a custom rom and all the downloads.
Here is another link (Martux ROM V3) as well, with JVR base rom link.

Try reinstall your USB Drivers or Download a JVR from Samfirmware and check, if it will be pass its corrupted JVQ, if fail, you need reinstall USB Drivers

But there is one prb ! ..i cannot see the Clock work mod now , how am i supposed to boot into recovery now ?
Ok got into the recovery mode now ! . But there is one more problem now ! i select the install zip from sd card and press the home button , it doesnot select it . It got back , like the home screen button using acting like the volume button .
Any suggestions ?
Got it once again seems like the power button was the button for enter function ! m learning fast !
hey , i have galaxy s i9000
it was running darky 10.2.2 EE n i planned to flash stock ddjv9 rom ,
so i disabled all the lagfix n using odin n 512 pit flashed ddjv9 ,
but after flashing it gets into 3e recovery saying unable to find Db_file , n when i select reboot , it gets into infinite bootloop ..
plz someone help , i want to go into stock ddjv9 rom .
i can go into download mode . n also i have flashed ddjv9 3 times but same results
in Odin must put bootloader

n wats its extension ?
i have one .dll file in dat folder
ddjv9 it's for Asia?
you can try to download other 2.3 from sammobile (ex DDJV6... ) maybe have bootloader in archive
I don't know if europe bootloader it's ok for you

i downloaded ddjv9 frm sammobile only , n it contains two filles one firmware with .tar extension n one more file with .dll extension ,
is the other one bootloader???? n do i have to select bootloder update in odin??
yes ... in odin have: bootloader + pda + phone + csc
for my phone for example I have:
APBOOT_I9000XWJVZ_CL762604_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5
to put in bootloader case
flash another rom with odin
you solved the problem with your phone?... how?...
Get a rom from ramads thread in general. If it has sbl in name it has bootloader built in

Have questions abt downgrading to GB from ICS.Currently i'm running the N7000ZSLPF stock rom.I installed it via PC odin as dr'kitan's method.There i had to check all 3 option Re-Partition,Auto Reboot n F.Reset Time.As the N7000ZSLPF rom has the bootloader too.But now i want to get back to GB N7000XXKL3 Rom.So my question is now in here do i have to select the Re-Portion again or i should just select the Auto Reboot n the F.Reset time? N from where i can get the mobile odin?
Anyone can give me answer plz?

i was on jb lsa with philz latest kernel n tried to flash jb lsa again n also succeeded,tried to install philz kernel again from stock recovery (before this always used pc odin to flash philz kernel n get root later)..it was flashed successfully..instead of eoung wipe cache n wipe delvik ibdid complete wipe llike wipe preload n all as done for new rom..tried to flash jb lsa again but got stuck on factoryfs..tried go to cwm but got msg firmware encountered issue..now i am confused whether to follow this or this pit method..i can go in download mode though... i am not in warranty n once in the past have already tried this pit method n lost 4gb space...i will appreciate ur help

I just got myself a sgs, with an old ROM, i've wiped it and tried to install a new one.
On evry ROM i've tried to install, says installation aborted... error "0"
What are the stept to make a complete and clean installation.
Shoult i flash before rom, a new boot image... or what ?

more info on ur fone. take a screenshot of ur build number. n necessary fone info,kernel
its becoz a 3e recovery. u need to change it to 2e recovery first. find ur own cf root n flash it thru odin.
but really...please giv more info on ur fone ver. build n kernel,android version also. N make sure its i9000

I have an error after trying to install a ROM

I had Gingerbread 2.3.6
and I flashed it and downloaded rom from the following link

And i did the WIPE ing etc and then i selected install from sd and selected the file
after few seconds the phone started to keep on restarting
Now i am not even able to go my recovery mode to wipe ... i am in great trouble ..
of course u will bootloops, looping while changing partition from GB to ICS, no panic, juz keep pushing da 3 button for recovery, da main point is when u releasing da button, release da button RIGHT AFTER u see da sgs bootsplash (first logo). da matter of releasing was important. and if u still cant, juz go back to 2.3.6 firmware using odin.
And remember, upgrading to ICS from GB needed twice flashing, first flash will install da kernel only as partition are changing, go back to recovery by 3 button combo and smart-release da 3 button will get u back to recovery. but if u wanna safety measure, flash cm9 stable, not custom at first flash, then after flashing cm9 stable, flash custom rom

After that restarting trouble (before sseing ur post) i just tried the recovery mode and it was not coming (vol up + power + home)
then i tried to bring it to downloading mode .. and the downloading mode came .. and then i flashed the phone again
Then i was able to go to the recovery mode
Then i did that two wipes and then selected install zip from sd card
then choose zip from sd card
then an error showing (see attachment for the scrren shot of the error screen)

did u try tick repartition on odin? using pit file? n dbdata?
What n how method u use when flashing with odin?

juz wanna make sure, every vers. got its own way to root n flash. there is i9000b/m/1, anycall n more.
