Selling my Note. Which ROM ?

I'm selling my Note today, which ROM does everyone recommended to flash before I sell it? It needs to be a full ROM so the guy can update. Thanks.

A Stock rom from this section:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
the latest stock rom
1.Keep as it is (why to take chance to brick)
2.As per choice of buyer
3.Flash with wipe a older ROM, so buyer get choice to update/Root it easily.
Yeah I think I'll just flash a stock ROM with root and call it a day. Thanks a ton guys, you Note guys are a friendly bunch.

Why are you selling? You won't find a better phone anyway!

I bought the Nexus. I prefer stock and an easier to handle size. Also the Rogers Note is coming out soon and my contract is almost up My girlfriend is gonna be a happy iPhone 4s user on valentines day though. I couldn't convert her so I had to trade it.

If she didnt convert then shes not a keeper bro... just sayin..

I knew there would be a reference to an Iphone in here somewhere...lol.
Note to a Nexus... I hope you get on with it. As for which rom - flash an early Samsung rom is your best bet, from the region you got it from.
Feel free to check out "our" forum as often as you want - you'll be most welcome. We're a friendly bunch as we have been around the block so many times, in search of the best phone available
What to do if I want to unroot and flash rom?
In dr.ketan's stock ROM post, he wrote...
"If you are not rooted n dont want Root
just flash with PC odin, (same as Older ROM Installation shown above)"
What if I am rooted, but don't want root anymore?
Can I still just flash with PC odin? Would it mess up because the Note was rooted?

yes you can flash stock rom with Odin on rooted note, without issue. It will make your next rom unrooted too.

[Q] ICS for my Galaxy Tab

Hi all,
I own a Galaxy Tab P1000 bought in UK and not sim locked.
I bought it in Carphone Warehouse.
Now I wonder if I can install ICS on my Tab.
I know nothing about kernels in general so please do not come up with install this kernel, that kernel.
I have a stock 2.3.3 ROM updated via Kies and I rooted it.
I just want to keep all my features working on my Tab (camera, data, voice and so on) after the upgrade so I am not interested if some stuff is not working.
If these requirements are met I wish you could come up with an upgrade procedure for dummies with the link to all files needed.
Again I know nothing about kernels so please try to explain what I am gonna do.
Thanks in advance,
Regards,
Federico.
Well, too bad.
Samsung won't make ICS for this tab, so no L
kies update for you.
And yeah, we all will tell you to install a kernel+cwm to flash it.
And no spoon feeding either...
Go to overcome site
Http://www.teamovercome.net
Read the guide,
Missing pictures can be seen here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20974872
Follow the picture step by step.
Basically to restock:
Download GB-stock-safe-v5.zip, unzip it and and flash with ODIN according to the guide.
Stop there and you will have Gingerbread JQ1
You can continue with the rest, and you will get Overcome 4.1 and you won't regret.
From there you can then try AOKP or CM9, all requires you to have Overcome Kernel with its CWM recovery to flash.
Links are easy to find in their individual thread.
Come back here after you have overcome rom, come back here and I am willing to guide you further.

The 2 roms you are talking about have all features working?
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda premium
Camera, data, voice call
Yes, both cm9 and AOKP can do that.

I am reading some information. It looks like there are stability problems with custom roms. Endless loops with one. Wifi disconnecting on the other. When I was using a sony ericsson x10 I used to install custom roms. Just all had bugs and I always went back to stock. Thing is that the tab is more complicated and I am not willing to brick it either.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda premium
P.S. Cwm is already installed on my tab. Just not the kernel.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda premium
You need cwm 5.x to be successful I think.
Btw, gtab is quite hard to brick, as long as you didn't screw up the boot loader.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Steps should be to:
- Install GB-stock-safe-v5.zip (Odin) (I have 1.85 is that ok?)
- Install Overcome 4.0.0 Kernel (Odin) (I have 1.85 is that ok?)
- Install Overcome 4.1 ROM wipe (via CWM, should I use wipe or no wipe?)
Once I am done with that I can use CWM to install an ICS ROM if I wish.
I think I got this correctly didn't I?
Ok, I am now lost about which specific ROM to try. CM seems more stable but is there any specific release (more stable) that I should be looking for? Could anyone please link a post to a stable ICS CM release for my tab?

[Q] Rooting and installing a customer rom for T849

I was wondering if rooting your tablet using Z4root is the same as rooting using odin? Also if rooting this way is fine, what steps can I take to flash from my crappy froyo to a custom ics rom and which in youre opinion goes well with this tablet? Thanks fellas!
Sent from my SGH-T849 using xda app-developers app
Restock to overcome.
There are plenty of threads where I responded to T849 (I own one)
Just search.
Edit: here you go
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1698596
BTW: rooting isnt equal installing custom ROM. In fact they are mutually exclusive.
And to install custom rom you will likely need CWM Recovery, and the easiest and sure method to do is by following Overcome method.

[Q] P1000 with version 2.3.3

Hello everyone i have Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 and i update android version from 2.2 to 2.3.3. I want to install 2.2 version because i have troubles with version 2.3.3. I looked on the internet but do not know which version to download.
Umm why would you want to go back to 2.2? Not many apps quite support froyo nowadays. You could go to www.samfirmware.com and find the latest 2.3.6 gb over there. Best one yet is the Hong Kong one.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
The smallest problem is the applications on Froyo.Tab works slowly and therefore I want to go back to an older version because less RAM is occupied and tab works better.
In Linux/android, RAM unused is ram wasted.
Not like Windows.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
A few days ago he worked with a small deceleration and today is too slow if you can not send me version 2.2. Tell me which version i install that tab will function normally.
The version in my signature. Overcome Series 7.
It is a GB 2.3.6 Samsung based but tweaked to run faster.
Follow the link in my signature and download the guide.
Sent from my GT-P1000 using xda app-developers app
Is there any possibility that I install this rom on version 2.3.3 and what will change as I install it?
You need to completely wipe.
Overcome feels like stock ROM, especially with stock theme patch.
But under the hood it is much more.

How this is used? Flash using CWM Recovery or using something else? thnx
All stock ROMs at samfirmware are to be flashed using Odin by putting the tar.md5 in the PDA field.
