I actaully had no dea. But hey ill take it =D
I live in a college town, so during the school year with the towers super crowded i get around 600kbps with 2 bars, but can easily get 1100kbps+ when everyone leaves for summer

I'm in Austin, TX and his speeds are way better than mine..his min speed is the Max I see
Edit, I say that and now I'm sitting in a whataburger 2 miles from home and my speed is double what it normally is at home. Everywhere I work and live my speed is usually pretty dismall at best.
~maybe I set it too high...

Thanks, let me know result if you remember.
I've tried police alert, it only tells you where police/stop lights etc. Have been seen. Not a really good program
not even, mine says this cop has been in same spot for over 3 weeks now :O but idk how this would work
I have something similar on the GPS in my car. With that service you get a visual and audio warning when you approach an intersection or reported cop hangout. With all that its borderline a waste of money, I doubt the G1 will be half as good, but even still, you never know until you try, especially if its free.
i used it when i went driving and it worked fine i founld about 3 cops

The point isn't to point out where a cop *is* per se. It is to show you where they like to hang out. Not really good for a drive around town (where you know their hideouts) but GREAT for road trips

You do realize the Mb signifies MegaBits not MB (MegaBytes) 1Mb = 1/8th*(1MB). So really 8Mb/s is roughly 1MB/s
Just yesterday, I used CWM and got Andromeda 2.1 on my phone. Just by playing around with it I saw SGS Tools. There was a thing at the very bottom of the list in the secret codes which was called "Switch 3G--- HSPA". I looked it up on Google to see what it does, then I started playing with it. Finally I chose the option that is usually stock, and I used the speedtest. I usually get low 3.00's where I was, but yesterday I was getting around 4-6 mbps. My highest speed was 6.07. So what did I do to make it so fast? Did I break the AT&T restrictions? Also if I did, will it make my bill cost more?

Try it on WiFi or even try a different browser. Network is more than likely the culprit. Only happens to me in weak signal areas.

one huge negative flaw with android.

People were asking you to test on wifi not as a solution but for diagnosis.
It's a network issue. Sprint has terrible 3g, with very spotty performance

Yeah Sprint's 3G is horrible. Its hard for me to stream a YouTube vid on HD without it pausing every few seconds to buffer. They're putting up more towers so it'll eventually get there

Sprint's 3g has a lot of jitter and latency so as everyone else said, its most likely gonna be the network

One thing shady with Sprint phones is that always displays your signal as 3G but that doesn't mean you are on 3G connection. The only way to know if you are on 3G or 2G(1x) is if you are running a custom Rom. When I was on Verizon the phone actually display if you are were on 3G or 2G. I bet of the page is taking forever to load and you do a speed test you probably are running 1x with almost dial-up speeds.
