Battery History app for GB - Desire HD Themes and Apps

Apologies if this is old news, but I've seen quite a few requests for a working "Battery History" app (i.e. from Spare Parts) for Gingersense ROMs. (Spare Parts+ from the Market seems to work okay on GB apart from Battery History.)
This port by ivcarlos has been working well on my phone:

It's not my work, so I hope it's okay to post it in here rather than General - if not, mods please move. I searched but couldn't find many mentions of it, except those buried deep in other threads, and I said the question has come up a few times.

Seesmic on Android - issues on CM 4.2.5 ?

I hadn't used the desktop app before so when I heard it was out for Android it piqued my interest. I downloaded it and although it has a few things missing (lists and hashtag searching I think is missing) they're not important to me. Anyway the purpose for me posting here is to check if anyone else using Cyanogen's Mod v4.2.5 has issues with notifications not happening. This, for me, is the second app that doesn't run as intended using CM ROMs and I don't like that one bit. Before I mention it to Cyanogen I want to see if I'm the only one having issues.
I'm having a few problems, too. Sometimes the program will crash when opening/closing the keyboard, sometimes it will freeze when switching tabs, etc.
I don't think it's CM's issue. I'm having a lot of FCs with it on Amon_RA's ROM as well, think it's just not stable enough.
I mentioned it to them via Twitter and they said they'd look into it. For an initial release the interface is really good I think but notifications are a must. To make sure it wasn't the ROM in general I've tried three separate ROMs now and ran another Twitter program at the same time, same interval updates and the other program (I Tweet) got all updates. Stupid thing is when I was reading them I got Seesmic telling me there were updates now. I'm sure they'll fix it but they better do it fast or the ratings will drop it.

[Q] Which items to tweak?

Hi. My SGN is my very first Android phone and I've been using it for only less than a couple of weeks now. I've familiarized myself with mostly everything that I plan to use in the settings, changed my launcher, steered clear from task killers, and other random rituals based on what I've read around here.
So I've been reading all night through the Development forum and I've decided I want to go deeper into customization by rooting, then maybe changing roms or kernels. (I don't understand so much besides what I've read as I haven't tried it.) Before I do anything though, I'd like to know what to expect from the custom roms or kernels. I don't feel comfortable with too much trial and error.
I'm not really afraid of the process, just of having to do it over and over.
Would you guys please help me set up? I'll try to be as specific as I can with what I need. I won't need to much instructions, just help me with the choices and I guess I'll look for them in the forum myself.
- the best possible battery life
- the best speed and performance
- the best display (if this varies between different setups)
- be able to use apps that require rooting (like play games like those that would require Chainfire3D, etc. - This is actually one of the reasons why I'm attempting this.)
- still be able to use all the apps prior to modifying the system
- outside of gaming, I like simple interfaces. I like how the menus on stock look, but mostly because I feel that the phone isn't being overworked or something.
- however, I like my homescreen and app drawer themed. I already like how my interface is; I'd keep it that way or close if I don't have to change it.
- keep all the good stuff, take out the bad stuff, add more good stuff. (VAGUE )
A brief outline of how I use my phone, which may also help with what I'm asking for:
- Lots of calls and SMSs.
- I used mostly stock apps, except for browsing, and playing videos.
- I play games, videos, and tend to sketch a lot, as well as browse.
- I changed my launcher and theme - GoLauncher EX.
- I sync my apps (that need syncing) manually.
- I don't use any maintenance apps (task killers/battery savers.) I just messed with the settings since I feel that's just what that one battery saving app did.
- I habitually turn off/remove/close stuff that I don't use or am not currently using.
- I get around 18-26 hours on battery.
SORRY FOR THE LONG POST. Please don't tl;dr.
Reading more [kernel], [rom], and [firmware] threads as I post.
Also, it'd help if I can get some info on ICS. Thanks so much.

[Q] conky for android

i am using sgs i9000 with gingerbread and darkys rom 10.2. i am an ubuntu user and would really like a widget or lwp just like conky.. i searched the market but couldn't find anything really like conky.. can anyone help me here..
Have not tried any of them myself, but market is full of these. As usual I highly recommend first to read reviews, then use antivirus and so on.
Searching for "system info live wallpaper" gives at least these:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=personal.jhjeong.app.batterylivewallpaper
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...llpaper.live.systeminfo&feature=search_result
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.disflux.android.infopaper&feature=search_result
Believe me or not, but you'll get some apps searching for conky: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=conky&c=apps
And widgets are so many that you'll have to find something that suits your demands yourself: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=system+info+widget&c=apps

Yes there are a few limpers, but you don't list the *one* that is most like conky. Here it is, but note it is a dysfunctional cpu hog. Keep your eye on it for future improvements. For a background image, copy and rename any jpg you want to use to "/sdcard/background.jpg" (internal memory).
Check out "AndroidSystemInfoLiveWallpaper"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jp.masaki.ACL
[Edit] Its is also a **battery hog** too!! Sucked out 36 hrs of battery life in 3 hrs.

Checking out Conky? for widget now. I think its the next best one I've seen.

[Q] Somebody tried and compared major 3rd party ROMs?

I need to refresh my N7000, rooted, using some philz kernel (don't know version), latest stock ROM.
Unfortunately the device has reached its limitations, I am constantly out of memory and (internal) storage space.
I tried every possible cleanup (without wiping the device).
Since I *will* wipe the device, I am thinking, why no try some (hopefully now mature) 3rd party ROM?
So... anybody that HAS tried more than one, can help me choose?
I do not have time to flash and reflash, I will choose one and go with it (possibly the last update of my N7000).
Requirements:
- Would love to be KitKat, but not a strict requirement.
- ALL hardware to work (so "fm radio is not working" or issues with the pen etc. throws out the ROM). (EDIT: FM working with 3rd party app IS an option for me, but I need to know compatibility)
- Light and fast, but not ultra-light to the point of me having to manually install vital "stock" apps.
- No issues with Google Play etc.
- In active development or at least "fresh enough" (I would prefer, not eight months old build).
...anybody cares to help me - point me to the right direction?
Please?
(mostly looking for CyanogenMod, SlimKat and OmniROM - as ParadroidAndroid makes clear FM doesn't work)
Hi,
It seems you have answered your own question.

Just take a look at the OP posts, as well as the last few pages of the thread to see if any major issues persists. The 3 options that you have narrowed down on are well established roms, so should not pose problems. You can also search around on youtube if you need extended reveiews on them.
That being said, we do not allow comparison (/best rom) threads on XDA as they more often escalate into arguments about people's opinion.
Thread Closed.

Developers not acknowledging bugs

I don't know where else should I open this topic. But this problem seems to be pretty consistent with all available roms for MI A2.
First post of rom topic contains section Issues/Bugs, however it's almost always empty or "you tell".
Few pages after there are numerous reports of the same bug and and even developer confirming bug exists. In most cases those bugs are not on critical components of device, but they could be on feature which some people use daily.
I for one couldn't care less if Netflix doesn't work and I would install rom anyway, but we see about 15 posts in a row people complaining about it. Developer responds 10 times with same message.
Couldn't you just put it in the first post? It would greatly reduce spam and save you some time explaining the same problem every 2 pages. Even many of well known bugs which did get fixed, screen bleeding for example were never mentioned in first post.
Please add bugs to first post after you confirm them. It saves a lot of time scrolling through 50+ pages topic that usually consist of posts from people that don't read instructions or don't know how to install roms in the first place.
