I'm not sure if I'm the only one facing this problems but I think this is firmware problem:
Happens when the phone is not set to "vibrate" and the original Headset (with the mic and one button) is plugged in.
MusicPlayer
If the original Musicplayer is on "pause" and I receive a notification or a call it goes to "play" & random after playing the notification-sound (or the call).
Video Player
Receiving a Call/Notification while watching a movie with the stock Video-Player and heatset on the Movie goes to "pause" but after reopening the Videoplayer the Movie start at 00:00:00 again. Have to seach were I was...
Had the same problem with V10c. I did get an update to the V10d last week. I'm on Stock ROM, Unrooted.
Is anyone else facing the same problem?
Can this be fixed?
Will the firmware update to V10S bring any improvement in this area?

Greetings everyone!
I recently purchased a Samsung i9000m with Bell Canada. Thankfully I have not had any major problems with the phone, but there is one large annoyance I have discovered: Whenever the headphones are plugged in, pressing the button on the headphones cord starts the Music Player app. Additionally, removing the headphones also starts the Music Player app. Has anyone else experienced this behaviour from their phone? Is there a way to stop this irritating "feature"?
My phone is currently all stock/not rooted, except that I recently upgraded the firmware to JH2 (this behaviour also existed on the previous firmware).
Many thanks in advance,
Matt
The first feature is intentional. ( Why else would you press the button again? )
I don't get the second. ( It does pause when I pull it out, and it starts playing if I have that setting on, when I put it in. )
Thanks for the reply.
I'm not sure I was clear. Anytime the music player isn't running (i.e. after turning on the device), unplugging the headphones will load the music player. Similarly, pressing the button on the headphones (i.e. to answer an incoming call while I'm driving my car) will also start the music player!
Basically I want the music player to only load when I choose it from the apps page or home screen...I almost liken it to a weird version of "autoplay" from windows computers...I wish there was a way to turn it off with a simple check-box!
Can confirm that unplugging any cable from the headphone plug will open the music player app.

Click to collapse
Well that makes two of us....I guess that means I'm not imagining things!
Doesn´t open Musicplayer when plug out the headsetcable on my SGS. Maybe you have any other music player widget or app installed?
I saw that also. Better yet, even killing the app with autokiller, adter a few seconds... there she was again playing.
I was in transit that tine and could not investigate the problem. Didn't use musicplayer much lately so don't know if the problem still exists.
For me the trigger was the headset button. Click that sucker and you have an annyoing Musicplayer that returns from the deads.
yeah very annoying. i was just testing the tv out and it still starts it when unplugging the cable.
Just a FYI.
You'll get the same effect when using a Bluetooth Stereo headset
1 tap to wake up the phone
2 tap to launch the music player
double fast tap to skip to the next song
1 tap long hold to call last number dialed
... and there are more tricks, but that's usually what i do
I have noticed some background noice when I play audio files in the music player.
I know from this thread that other people have the same problem but I have not been able to find a seperat thread that cover this.

The problem is easy to hear if you play music through the build in loudspeaker and then turn the volume to 0 while the music is playing. I have notice that when I pause the music the noice will continue for about 2 sec followed by a "click" and then the background noice will disapear (probaly because the device is going to some powersaving mode).
The problem remains with all the headsets I have tryed and are pressent on firmware jm7 and jm8.
Anyone noticed the same problem and more important do anyone have a solution to this problem?
unable to reproduce
i do play music from the building speaker quite a bit, as i keep testing music for my alerts anc custom alerts for each contact
Hi there,
I had this problem also... was playing with the TV out. Once I turned this off the problem disappeared. Have you tried the standard issue headphones... this might also be part of it, Samsung is using a different pin setup
that makes more sense go into settings and make sure the TV Out option is disabled, if you leave it on, it can interfere with the audio output
i recall this being discussed on another topic a while back
try unplugging the usb cable if it's connected...
Hi,
I've been facing bluetooth disconnection issues with my I9000.
Setup:
Sony HBH DS-205 Stereo A2DP Bluetooth device which includes call/cancel, pause/play, volume +- and Fwd/Rew buttons
Samsung Galaxy S international version never locked.
Listening to music if a call comes through, I press the answer button on the headset, take the call and press again to end the call. 50% of the time, music resumes playing and 50% of the time the device gets disconnected from the phone. I am forced to press the button again to connect to the phone. In such a situation, if I am playing a specific album by an artist, I loose the now playing "album" and it goes into my entire library. So the next song is no longer the next track on the album, but the next track in the library!
This is very annoying and I cant seem to find a solution anywhere. Not sure if too many people have this setup but I am suprised to not see this complaint with other bluetooth devices.
Can someone help me identify the cause?
Thanks!

Seriously? No one???
Please help!!
evening all i have found two strange issues that i haven't resolved through the usually settings checks and tinkering, both issues are related to notifications and i think they are one in the same. when watching YouTube videos if a notification comes in during the video (in full screen mode) the video volume drops as expected for a split second so you know you have a notification however the sound never returns the the same level it remains very quiet? even when turning the volume up and down and back up again its still reduced somehow? if you exit YouTube and go back in to a video it works as normal at normal volume levels until another notification comes in. this is very frustrating and i am not sure how to stop this?
has anyone got any suggestions?
secondly i think this is related to the above but when listening to music (both via earphone or loudspeaker) when a notification comes in it stops the music and does not reestablish it? i am using poweramp as my music app and the only way to start the music again is to unlock phone and start the app? (not good when driving).
again both would seem to be related but i can not find a way to stop the above? if anyone can shed any light please let me know whilst i continue searching, thanks in advance.
I'm facing issues with Google Play music intermittently on pausing the track. Once paused, it doesn't start playing it. The app shows 'playing' (the pipe icon shown) but it actually doesn't play anything. To fix it, the app needs to be closed from recent apps and then has to he started again.
I downloaded Black Player and it also behaves similarly every now and then. Sometimes, the volume becomes so feeble that I can't hear anything below 8 or 10 volume units (of the total 15).
I noticed this after the January security update and am wondering if anyone else is also facing similar issue (on Stock Unrooted ROM)
