After testing new custom ROM phone fall into eternal sleep.
how to resurrect?
card reader aslo in eternal sleeping : )
Mind sharing what ROM you used, so others wont make the same mistake?
Regarding your question, i've got no clue.
Maybe one of the guru's comes along to help you with your problem.
Can you get to the tri color screen?
Oh, yeah, thnx for response : )
But 3color screen appeared : )
So i download XPERIA Update ROM Utility, put *.nbh in that dir and run it.
After 3 next pressings it start to flash.
Better then from SD card because automatical reboot present : )

i think it might of been a custom rom that he was developing and testing - not one he downloaded. roms get tested pretty well before being released so nothing like this happens to regular users.
My own custom ROM. I trying to make it extra lite.
Now it about 84Mb instead of 160.
I still can't understand, why it freezed at once after SEMC1904.GIF, but now i make more testing levels between cleaning operations.... : ) ) )

How to flash without microSD?
Hi,
I've started reading the forum about a week ago and some tutorials mention a way of flashing by pc, without microSD, but most of the howtos are only for the microSD method.
KovskyKitchen has an option, like "flash a rom", but i don't want to try it without any howtos, tutorials or docs.
Help me out with some links, please.
Thanks,
taarzaan

I have problem with my microsd.
I can not format - Windows was unable to format the card
My card: Sandisk 8GB SDHC
The system detects its RAW file format, and the capacity of 32 MB - lol

Hi all
I am using HTC diamond P3700 currently with windows mobile 6.5 installed, but now i would like to experience Android on my phone, and I am going to install the following version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=780130
I noticed that I have to create an Ext2 partition on my HTC internal memory first, and it requires gParted which is under Linux platform. Since I am using Windows 7, so I used VirtualBox to create a virtual environment to install Ubuntu.
Now, i am facing the problem that my gParted doesnt detect the connected HTC diamond.
Could anyone please kindly instruct me to solve this problem?
Besides, the ext2 partition tutorial is in some language which is not english, so could anyone please write a quick english tutorial?
Many many thanks in advance!!
I changed from FAT32 to ext2 partition in Windows 7 using: Acronis Disk Director Home. and I was able to install android without any problem.
thanks, I will give it a try first. is it straight forward?
btw, so are you using Android on HTC diamond please?
May I know what ROM and android you are using please?
can you guyz tell me that where should I put my downloaded android file into:
I mean should I put it in ext2 or fat32................
did you mean there will be no fat32 anymore...............is it???

im using the original WM 6.1 rom on my diamond................
you can't use the auto boot android directly because you have to do the partition and then you have to install the android boot first.......... after this things step are complete then you can boot android from Haret...........
I used MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition v 5.2 for the partition step on windows 7................... but to see the ext2 partition you have to install Linux on your pc.
for the partition watch this.........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyO6DOS1leQ................
and for the instillation part and things just follow this steps............
1)Create an EXT2-Partition with a minimum size of 300MB (see video-tutorial in this article)
2)Download Neopeek Android Installer
3)Extract npkinstall.zip to the root of your internal memory / sdcard
4)Download Haret-Paket
5)Extract contents of Haret-Paket to the root of your internal memory / sdcard
6)Now Download latest CyanogenMod6-Port or any other Android (please have a look into our community. There are lot of builds available). Now rename this download to androidinstall.tar.gz and put it into the npkinstall-folder. There are several Text-Files in this folder like diamond.txt, raphael.txt etc. Just rename the one that matches your device to startup.txt.
7)Now run install.exe within the npkinstall-folder. Your device will reboot when it has finished installation.
8)Move to the root of your memory where you have extracted Haret-Paket
9)Locate Startups-Folder and copy the startup.txt which matches your device to the root of your memory
10)Now run Haret.exe from the root of your memory and Android should boot up! That's it.
this step are originaly taken from http://www.neopeek.com/en/stories/android
i hope I helped you a little
so let say I have successfully boot Android on my phone via HaRet, may I use Gen.Y DualBOOT later to boot into Android automatically?
or the only way to start Android is still manually start HaRet under WM please?

My experience told me that,
First you have to create the FAT32, and the size doesn't really matter, but it is your Android internal storage, which can be shown in Windows.
Second, you create the ext2, size between 300mb to 512mb, this can NOT be shown in Windows.
Third, the linuxswap, 64mb (I think is definite, cant be randomly selected)
After all this, u should be ready to do the rest

I have windows XP SP3 and i am using Minitool Partition. Below were the steps taken,
1 - Formatted the Inetrnal Storage.
2 - Resized it to 3.20GB Fat32
3 - other unallocated 500MB changed it to EXT2
4 - and some 64MB under Linux Swab
Once this is done and when i try checking on the phone in file Explorer..i dont see the Internal Storage to run the files..its completely missing.
I reformmated the whole thing to Fat32 and now i am able to see it under File Explorer...Just wondering what did i miss out...as i know some of us were able to pass through this.
HI I am My htc touch diamond is not detected on windows 7 via usb cable. it seems to be some hardware issue.
can I still partition the internal memory? I am able to connect to Windows via Bluetooth(Windows Mobile Device Center)
Please help.
Dear all,
I have downloaded and run the hard_spl on my Xperia X1 and flashed the rom ROM successfully, and I have downloaded the 28244 sencity energyrom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562935 and copied it on the root of my SD.
when I enter the bootloader screen to flash from the SD I get the message
" No image file! "
I have followed the instructions and made sure that the image is on the root of the SD and made sure the image name is KOVSIMG.nbh as instructed.
please advice.
thanks and regards,
Solved.

Hello,
I have an problem about installing / applying the update for the kernel.
Im trying now for almost 1 week. Maybe when u read this u think again an newbie that tries android on his kaiser.
I searched the forum an couple of times and didn't find an solution thats why i make an new thread. My problem is the following.
whatever i try to install android or the kernel update i see this message before it dissappear to the install menu.
Installing:
tar: can't open 'sdcard/andboot/androidinstall.tar' : no such file or directory exist
My setup:
Phone: HTC Kais130
Bootloader: 3.34 HardSPL
Radio: 1.71.09.01
Kernel: 2.6.32 (also tried with the 2.6.25)
Mutiple micro sd cards (from 2 - 8 gb) formatted in Fat32 or Fat
Roms: i tried: Incubus26Jc's Super FroYo 2.2 Froyo[2.2.2]: My Modified Fresh Froyo
Flashing the kernel doens't give any problems. i created the KAISIMG.NBH with atools.
Does anyone know what to do? cuz im out of options. I got 4 Kaisers here with all at the same problem.

Hello Daedric thanks for responding.
Uhm these are the files i on the sd card at the moment.
/KAISIMG.nbh
/andboot/androidinstall.tar ( i tried also several times with .tgz)
/andboot/androidupdate.tar
with the option 1 install system i get that error and the same with option 4 install update.
I format my micro sd every time i try or change the files. What is following u the best way of format and which one?
edit:
I just saw the link of Kaiser android wiki and followed exactly the staps about the kernel with cache en scoot rs3. Still the same error. Sd card formatted in fat32 with 4k cluster.
Is there not an way i can flash it directly to the nand trough usb? This because i got 3 non working devices, and 1 turned back to 6.5.3
Hello again,
Solved the problem.
somehow the 3 micro sd's i used were corrupt, i bought one new one and tried the one on the kaiser wiki. And there it is it worked.
So for anyone else that have this problem and u find this with google.
Get other sd's

if you want a dual boot (WM + Android) can work on your device, you must first install Gen.Y_DualBOOT-v1.0.6.0-VGA-Internal
download rom android like FRX07.1 or XDAndroid GBX0C 2.3.7 and extract to a folder then copy to the root of your phone's internal storage
for more details, see the thread [BUILD] ** Complete ** FRX07.1 FroYo Bundle

looks like you need to reformat the internal storage to fat 32 system, then copy back android file's to internal storage phone (4Gb) and run Haret.exe

Well it worked, but first you must understand all too well from the guidance given
I suggest you should install android on the internal storage to be more safe, if you still get issue with internal storage ! read Diamond Storage Issues (Storage Card Unmounted) at this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6967730&postcount=4
