Hello all.
I have a canadian Incredible S
I used the alpharev to get S-off (is this the same as radio s off)?
I flashed the ROM Android Revolution
I then realized I had no sound during calls, so I installed
enghboot according to this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1070348
it worked great, so i rebooted into fastboot, flashed the reccomended radio
Radio_20.2808.30.085
Rebooted, and now im stuck on the white HTC Screen. No idea what went wrong
I can still access the bootloader menu (recovery etc..)
Someone please help me kindly
Sam.

Hey all... I have a problem.
I have a bell htc incredible s, it's stuck at the htc splash screen, there was apparently an issue trying to ruu, I've tried 6-7 times to reflash and in the process lost my recovery. One ruu indicated a successful completion, but returned the same issue upon rebooting... HTC splash, and then either reboot or lock... I have no recovery only bootloader unlocked via revolution... I am in a huge bind... Please reply asap...

Use the official HTC program to do full recovery. if it says okey but boot stuck still, you probably in trouble, the hardware may fail or flash chip blocks could abnormally wear out. it happens.

Which RUU were you trying to flash?
Sounds like he might've flashed the wrong RUU.
Yeah you're also in the DEV section here. Doesn't seem like there are mods that care till you PM them though.
Sorry for the wrong placement for the thread, I'll try to get it fixed... Just figured that developers seem to be most knowledgeable about the workings of the device...
I have tried any number of ruus originally the bell ruu and it said it completed successfully... but i turned on the device and still the issue persists... I feel it may be an issue of hardware failure and that spells disaster...

What version of Android were you running before? If you were running Gingerbread 2.3.3 and you tried to go back to the original Bell Froyo 2.2 RUU that is your problem. Once you have flashed a Gingerbread radio you cannot downgrade and flash a Froyo radio.
You should try the this RUU
http://www.filefactory.com/file/c0a...5AU_3805.04.03.27_M_release_199657_signed.exe
Go to the main android development page for incredible s, over there you will find a thread for all the roms grab the official bell ruu and flash it. If that does not work install a recovery through adb flash a rom from the recovery that should sort your problem

Hi,
Okay, I know how to root the GSM HTC One, as there are many tutorials online telling me how to.
The problem is that I'm using a Telstra branded (An Australian carrier) HTC One.
So, will the GSM method work? and if not, can you please give me the things needed to root my Telstra HTC One, if any?
My software number is: 1.19.841.2
My build number is: 1.29.841.2 CL164689 release-keys
If there are any other details you need, just tell me and I'll put them up.
I'm really new to XDA, so forgive me if I left anything out.
Thanks in advance
Follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2133336
Then install TWRP I think.
Let us know how you go.
Not sure if Telstra use a different radio to run NextG @ 850mHz or not?

Does this actually work on the Telstra HTC One? I've flashed both TWRP and CWM Touch on the Telstra HTC One, and while the flash works, trying to actually reboot into recovery does not.. it goes to the HTC white screen with a brief flash of red text at the bottom, then a black screen, then reboots into system normally... no recovery...
Am I missing something?

Yeah I flashed it on my Telstra HTC One.
The same thing happened to me when I flashed the normal TWRP recovery, and then I tried the AT&T version of the TWRP recovery which fixed it.

Hmm.. I tried downloading what I thought was the AT&T one, and that's the result I had. Let's assume I'm missing something.. Any chance you can link me to the correct recovery to flash? Please? ^_^

I followed this tutorial http://www.cultofandroid.com/26527/rooting-the-htc-one-the-right-way-how-to/ step by step, and when it comes to flashing the TWRP Recovery, use the AT&T one which is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2242031
Hope this helps.
So when I flash ROMs, I should AT&T ROMs?

No any custom roms will do
Hi, I have searched and I have tried, reaching out...
Desire C Cricket HBOOT 1.63 Radio 0.92.00.0903 Unlocked Bootloader S-On
I was trying to put a recovery on and root after unlocking bootloader and for whatever reason I cannot get into any recovery other than stock. Once in stock I cannot flash anything. Only thing I could tell was previous owner had a customer kernel on it but now I cannot get past the HTC red writing screen.
Normally in this situation I would go back to stock via PL01DIA.zip update in bootloader but I cannot find a viable one for this specific device.
OK, somehow got a working CWM Recovery. But I cannot get any roms to boot past the HTC red writting screen. Does anyone out there have a full CWM backup of a working Cricket rom?

Thanks guys! Sorry for bugging around this forum. Anyone with CDMA ping me, I'm not finding any friends I need a clean back up of any Cricket rom from CWM since it looks like the RUU was never made.
Or, if anyone knows how to change the CID on this phone without S-off. Just looking to make it an MP3 player.

There's only 2 or 3 people with CDMA Desire C's none of them seem to be active here anyway, search for your RUU, maybe a stock Rom will work for you, i'm not sure..

Hello all,
I'll start with saying how awesome you all are!
Now that the pleasantries are done I have a damned frustrating problem.
I converted my Bell mobility m7 to a gpe m7, it was great until I got the ota 4.4.3 update and like many others got the screen glitch.
So I searched for a way to get it back to stock.
Here us what I've done, flashed twrp and restored the nandroid backup for my device ( all good here) I then changed the cid back to bm___001, also all good. Now it asks me to update the ota, it downloads and verifies, but when I select install now, it boots into twrp recovery and does nothing.
My bootloader is also Black and not the normal white.
My hboot is at 1.54, I have no idea how to get the stock hth recovery on this thing... I have s-off, it's unlocked.
I can get the var dump and post it when I get to my pc.
I've been looking for a week now and I'm stuck. Any help would be awesome..
Just a side, why is there no RUU for bell mobility ?
OTAs only install with stock recoveries. You need to find the correct stock version for the Rom you are on. There is a post on here with all the recoveries

Why would you try and OTA update a phone with TWRP recovery on it ?
the OTA updates check everything on your phone and can only be used on a totally stock phone with Stock Recovery.
have you tried this >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2529225
The odd thing is the HTC sense Rom checks the update and veryfies it , it starts to install then boots into twrp.
I have hboot 1.54, is that going to be an issue, how do I get to 1.55?

Alright I installed the Bell recovery and it works fine. Rebooted phone and it asked again to install ota this time I said install now and watched. Seemed to install fine, but at the very end of the install I got the red triangle. I forced a reboot and I get a blue, then pink screen with boot up sounds, then the HTC logo with blue beats logo and it hangs.
I'll flash twrp back on and restore the nandroid backup I have and restart.
Anyone know why I still have the black bootloader and the Google screen at start up.?

Hello,

My phone is sprint version, s-Off, unlocked and using twrp recovery. I have installed the firmware (no boot no recovery) and everything looks fine so far.
I did try the official ruu downloaded from htc site and my phone get stucked on
htc logo screen. I manage to get him working again but now i'm running out of options, don't know what rom i should use.
I've been follow this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2729173

I've been thinking, that a stock rooted rom could solve my problem, what you guys think?
thanks in advance.
