I cant navigate to settings to do hard reset. is there any other way to do hard reset, like combination of few buttons or anything? oh and when I connect to PC it could not be detected too. pls help thanks.
hard reset by presses both soft keys and inserting the stylus in the reset hole at the same time. Hope that helps....

take a look at the picture and put the stylus in the reset hole and while you are pressing both keys, you push the stylus in the hole. You will get a grayish screen telling you if you want to hard reset and you will press the green phone button. It might take a few times in case you have fat fingers...

I'm doing exactly as u say but it just reboots no hard rest is happening
keep trying....First time I tried it, it took 6 tries because my fingers kept touching other keys....Patience is the key....I think....

and here is one more question since u are good with this phone. as I said I Updated to 6.1 but that was att rom, so can I reinstall the clean rom that u have posted on this site? thanks again
it depends on what you are looking for. There are many roms out there for you to choose. MAKE SURE you have HardSPL installed. PLEASE, PLEASE read the Wiki for Kaiser before you flash cooked roms.....

Hard reset?
tried to hard reset but same thing.. ill retry
tried hard reset method (holding to soft keys on front and use stylus) does not work i cant tell if the message comes up or not then i can hear it booting up.
Could be a hardware problem -- loose ribbon cable?

Oh no, power button went out...

Okay, my power button went out, which seems from previous posters that it spells the end of the phone. However I pryed mine out, and am SOMETIMES able to get my power button to respond by sticking a knife in there.
My question is can anyone get my an NBH that remaps my power key (or can I make one myself) to another key? I'm not sure what key would be best, I'm guessing power/back, knowing that I'd no longer have the ability to go back, but I only need the work around until the end of July when I can get a new phone... Thanks.

if only there was a Zimage of the super old keymap around
Do you mean a button on the top of the phone?
I got a Polaris (so maby this is not helpful).
But if you got some knowledge with hardware and got calm hands you maby can open your phone.
I had the same problem and my button was broken off from the mainboard. But it was really easy using a soldering iron to fix it.
.......
You should consider this as a possible solution... Its not to hard to open the phone and soldering isnt that hard either. Maby you got a friend that can do this. Or someone in your city does repairs of this kind (each electrican should be able to) its just fixing 4 dots on a 2x2mm big button..

I have it open already... I'm guessing I solder this button to the metal piece... this is pretty precise work but I'm going to try it, nothing to lose...
Well hell, I got it on there, but it's shorted, the power button is always down and I can't figure out how to fix it... I don't understand how this button works as even the design of it makes no sense.
Ok, so I never got it, pretty sure my switch is bad... I can short it out, and use the power button so I have wires sticking out, I'm still looking for an NBH that will let my move my power button to something else... like maybe long hold volume up?
Wonder if it's possible to do something with they keylayout files?
dzo?

Actually, the perfect power button would be the d-pad center button as I don't think I've EVER hit it before...
If someone can help me try to change it, I'd appreciate it. I know the method above won't work as the Vogue gets it's keymap from the kernel. I did some searches for unsungboxer but never found where it was described how to edit the keymap. All I know is it supposedly requires linux.

help with problem

hi guyz
ive a AT&T Tilt (Kaiser 100). so ive flashed my kaiser loads of times no problem was running great until now when i unlocked it the PPT button and call program open up themselves and some ramdon keys such as E,D,C,etc are pressed!!
also the slide keypad stops responding but the lights are still on for it. the navigational buttons on screen side stop working and the start menu opens up by pressing the button in the middle of navigational buttons!! rest of the keys dont work. power and camera keys still work!
i gave my phone a rest for 4 hours and when i turned it on it started working fine and then again after 5 minutes of use same problem. sometimes in the middle of use it automatically starts working again fine and then same problem comes and this keeps going on!!!
one of my workers at the office mishandled my phone (i think) he couldn't figure out how to slide open the phone and tried everything
so i cant rule out if its hardware or software problem???
please help!!

Because sometimes...well most of the times, with a help thread request like yours are solved with a hard reset . Going by the book...(oohh and it was late last night by the way )
On another note, seems like your friend did mess some of your keys and probably hardware issue. Try and mess with some keys and see if they are not stuck.
In most situations it quicker and easier to reset the phone. Just thnk about it, you don't have the original OS to repair with and you don't really have a method of sending commands to the phone.

floppy back button

Guyz, I have problem with the physical back button. I need to push hard to make it responsive.
Very hard to use it when I'm not aware.
I know I can use soft buttons and I'm always using the ROM with soft buttons, or using Button Savior. It's really save me.
Just want to ask, can I repair it on the Samsung Service Center?
How much it would costs?
I'm at Indonesia, if it helps.
ouwh, i have the same problem, but i already used to it now haha, is all lilg back button gradually will not function? lol
of course you can bring it to samsung sevice center
mayb its better to buy a new device than spend money our phone...just sayin :/
Lucky I have never faced such problem in my pop . If you device is under warranty get it repaired and if not then it probably isn't worth it .
