iphone/ipod touch media player app

i was thinking
and the only thing the iphone has on the G1 is looks
and only in certain places
but why not reduce those places
does anybody think that they can make an iphone-esque media player
not even the full blown media player just for like when you turn the iphone landscape and you have the album pictures and song nd ****

i would love to see this as well... our media player is straight up ugly.... I cant wait till new apps start to come along.. i know its still early.. the phone has only been there for a monbth

why is it everyone wants copies of other OSs? Android is its own seperate OS, why can't it have a media player that reflects itself like other OS's have. Sure you like a feature where in landscape it shows different info. I think that is cool. But I want to wait for google to finish 1.0

make it similar in aesthetic design

or make it like the HP touchscreen is that would be pretty rad

Who cares about how it looks? One of the biggest misses is the fact that there is no equalizer. Focus on functionality before form!

I hate the fact that they have hardly updated the media player since 1.0 (gosh do you remember that ****? Didnt even have on screen keyboard xD)

there is one called mixzing in the market, its free. it has an iphone-esque look to it. not exact but kinda close. one thing neat about it is, it acts like pandora (creates playlist based on a song selection) but bases the playlist creation off of the music in your phone collection. it's kinda cool.

i totaly agree with this guy let android be android if you want a iphone ipod media player than buy an iphone ipod.

Star Trek movie

Guess there's not many trekkies on here.
Opening weekend is done and no comments on young James T Kirks nokia cell phone!!!! Seemed like a hollywood prop omnia rip.
VERY American though......24rth century and still no video calling

he only had nokia because of the drivers

looked like it was built in to the car to me.
Great Movie btw.

No borgs but a great movie. Saw it today. I didn't take long for me to stop seeing Sylar and start seeing a young Spock.

I missed the "clock sound" every time sylar/spock came into view..

Veredict:
The visual effects and sound were very good. I was most impressed with the acting of both the Kirk and Spock characters. I got the feeling at the end that they really went out of their way to incorporate the old Spock and made the plot extremely complicated by this: time-travel thru black holes, paradoxes, alternate timelines, etc. (this is Star Trek though...)
There were some script writing horrors like, when little Jim is being born the father asks "what is it a boy or a girl". Didn't they have sonograms in the 22nd century? And also how original was Eric Bana's character name, Nero?
Overall: It was entretaining with good acting and action.

Not a bad film, but I thought the engine room (shot in some brewery I understand) was a real let down, actually spoiled the thing for me

Just saw this movie last week. While not a fan of the original TV series, I loved the movies that they (William Shatner et al) came out with starting from the original motion picture all the way up to the ST6. While watching this movie, I was impressed by the likeness of these new characters to the original. The funniest was Mr. Chekov with his accent... classic. The actor that played Bones did a pretty good job with his character too.
Overall, my impression after walking out of the theater is that I'm looking forward to the next one that comes out.

Its great movie to watch and like them too....

Excellent movie, special effects melted my eyeballs!
Alot more funny bits than i expected too.
Had a bit of a tough time not thinking about Sylar when Spock was on screen!

Didn't you think that the bit when Bones was trying to sneak Kirk onto the Enterprise was a bit too comical ?
Maybe for the younger audience ?
It did make me laugh though.
I don't think any of the previous films relied on physical comedy like this.
Will this trend continue in the next films ?

I've been enjoying Digitally Imported on my iPhone 4 for quite some time and figured they might have made an Android version. This is the Public Beta release. It works great to my knowledge and experience. I have a cap on my AT&T plan, but not my T-mobile plan (5GB soft cap, I know)
It has great stations and DJs. If there are fans of electronica and house music, this is the app to have.

Glad I could help, I've also been waiting for it. Hopefully the app appears in the market soon.
If you need a suggestion for a great DJ - Roger Shah. He appears on the trance station every Friday. I think around 2pm central time.

Ugh. Devs really need to fix this, is it so hard? When the screen times out and turns off, the music stops. This happens in a TON of streaming audio apps. Is it that hard?
EDIT: That was weird, first time screen timed out, the audio stopped/paused. I unlock, and resumed playback, then the 2nd time it timed out (screen), it's fine now, music keeps playing, been several minutes.

Aonline Radio has all this and more. It gets all shoutcast stations as well.

Guys, I don't know if you knew this already but this is really cool. I saw one of my friend using iTouch and wondered if I can have that feature too. Luckily, it did. Putting lyrics on the song and you can view it also while playing the song via stock music application.
Tried it on Samsung units and epic fail. Great feature LG! ) Haha.

i can help you if you dont mind using realplayer
download latest version of realplayer and :
Let it scan all songs and then search the song you want to add lyrics to.
right click on it and you will find some option like edit song information ( i haven't used it from a long time so i dont remember it ).
when you get a small window to edit songs artist,album, title n all so look at the right there will be cloumn named lyrics....paste your lyrics in it and save....move it to ur OB and enjoy
can be dont on itunes too....just go to edit songs info....in the small window you will see some tabs like artwork,lyrics and all....simply open the tab and paste the lyrics and save......n ur done

i've added the lyrics through itunes but it won't show up when played on the phone.

I can't get sound to play, I've tried CM, Rootboox, Trickdroid, and ViperROM.
Sound will not play on youtube or play music or anything.
Is it possible my speakers might be blown?
On the status bar, every time I try to play music an icon that looks like the wifi icon with a line across it comes up. I think it might have something to do with that but idk.

I literally had this happen to me last week.
One second I was listening to music in the car. picked up a friend. turned the music back on and no sound.
Sprint couldnt fix the issue when I took it to the repair center, so they just replaced it.
I couldnt hear any sound like music, ringtones, using headphones and stuff like that but I was still able to make calls and hear the other person talk.

massive facepalm for 3 outta the 4 album covers I see in the screen shot.

lol my music selection isn't the greatest. BTW I got this phone from craigslist, I didn't buy, I don't think I can take it to a sprint store.

Were you on an intl rom when you took the screenshot? That's what it shows when playing music on an intl rom. Maybe try to RUU the phone
